In this short documentary, women farmworkers of Food and Allied Workers Union (FAWU) reflect on how the pandemic has impacted the lives of workers in the farming sector. The crisis of unemployment that plagues millions of South Africans has been compounded by covid-19. A third wave of precarity impacting families, health, options and futures. In an ironic twist, those who work to feed a nation, now face hunger.
Yet hope is not lost for these women on farms.
