My 4 month old daughter is sick right now. Thank you so much for this. I was an only child and I feel like I am often flying by the seat of my pants when it comes to caring for her.
My 14 month old is sick (fever, vomiting, congestion) so I’ve pretty much been constantly holding her the last few days. She’s getting better now, but has refused to nurse for the last 24 hours (she is drinking water). Say a prayer that she’ll nurse again soon! I would be sad if our nursing relationship ended over this.
That’s so hard! Praying for you both! ❤️ If my little guy does the same thing again over the next couple days, I might try refrigerated breastmilk in case the cold would make his throat feel better, and if that helps, experimenting with putting him to the breast after. If nothing else, at least his saliva will communicate to my body what he needs at that moment! Hoping and praying for nursing to continue for you two! ❤️❤️
Thanks so much for the prayers! She started nursing again in the middle of the night and has been making up for lost time all day lol. She’s over the nausea now too, so maybe her body just needed that little break while the nausea was at its worst.
I had an infection on my foot once and put a piece of garlic on it. It burned so bad and later a yellow boil formed and I realized it was the garlic juices being absorbed. Healed my infection, garlic is amazing.
Just recently ran across you on carnivore interviews. Love your Christian ways. I'm a Nana now, but whenever my kids started getting something I used to open a capsule of echinacea and mix it with a tablespoon of applesauce for them to take with a chaser of a spoonful of regular applesauce. We called it “muddy applesauce”. My kids rarely ever caught anything and I always tried homeopathic cures first. My kids were little just before the chickenpox vaccine came out. They were exposed to friends and family getting chickenpox at least a half dozen times and never caught it. They were finally able to get the vaccine so we could stop worrying about it.
I was JUST feeling so defeated yesterday. I am a mother to 5, ages 7 and under and they have all been sick for over 2 weeks now. Was fighting thoughts of inadequacy for not being able to help them get better. Thank you so much for sharing this gold!
The 9 month old I nanny has been so sick this week! Lots of snuggles and baby wearing! I had remembered you saying the amazing thing about a woman's body being able to help cool a child! God is so good!!!
This was an amazing video. Thank you! My two month old us currently sick. A mother's instincts are so cool. I had no idea about the skin to skin until just now! And thus is my seventh 😅
This is so great!! I’m a seasoned mom but this is my 1st winter with a little baby. These tips are so great!! Using them today as we all are sick! Thx Cameron! ❤- mom of 9
This video is on my list. I have 2 boys, the oldest just turned 4 and for almost 2 years all 4 of us are constantly sick (maybe 2 weeks in a row when noone is coughing or sneezing). This is what makes it so hard. That I don't have to take care of one sick child but being sick and taking care of dick children while my husband also needs to rest more and everything in the household stops and after feeling a tiny little bit better we get burried by undone chores
Postpartum doula here! If you’re doing chicken bone broth, you can make a great one in the Instant Pot by using the soup function on low for two hours! :) Adding 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar (lemon juice might also be an option) tends to extract more of the good stuff from the bones, making the finished product much more nutrient-dense!😃 Careful about using breastmilk for other things if you have thrush, though. ❤️ I know…thrush is kind of the worst. 😣 If prepping for birth/postpartum, you can ask your practitioner about prenatal colostrum harvesting/collection! That was SO helpful for us. Actually, I should grab some from the freezer today! Day 3 of a fever for me, day 1 for him. The homeopathic remedy is oscillococcinum (oscillo for short)! :) The whole tube full would be a choking hazard, so one option I’ve heard of is Mom taking it instead, if breastfeeding. Personally, I’d want to ask a homeopath before giving a pellet to Baby directly since it’s such a high potency. I wonder if Boiron sells one for kids/babies…🤔 Praying and offering up today’s challenges for the rest of you who are sick and/or taking care of a sick little one!❤️
This is amazing! love skin to skin and got away from it as my kids became toddlers. Going to go back to that :) Praying for the baby you are watching and her family. Also praying for your sister!
Dear Cameron, (slightly off topic, but) I'm 12 days into the carnivore diet thanks to your advice and I'm already starting to see a difference. My psoriasis is starting to improve. Im still really tired but apparently thats normal in the early days. I just want to say, thank you so much. If I dont get to meet you in this world, im going to give you a big hug in the next. PS. I'm English and yes, Olbas Oil and boiled water works miracles. And garlic! Im so glad you said that! 😂
This is so helpful and encouraging. I’m currently in the NICU with my two week old who’s getting over RSV, and I’ll for sure be trying some of these things when we get home.
Love these!! Specially cool to hear about the skin-to-skin differences! If you have any tips for helping my little guy with teething I’d greatly appreciate it 🥰
Thank you so much for this! My 4 month old caught a cold this week and it's been so hard to watch him struggle breathing and feeding with all the snot. I've been using the frida snotsucker to get some out periodically but he hates it. Should I keep at it or do you recommend another solution to get the snot out? (Other than a steam shower)
My 2 month old just got over RSV and we actually had to be at the hospital. Praise be to God he didn't need any treatments other than snot sucking. I would highly recommend getting a higher powered snot sucker and saline. We used saline spray (for babies) and we got a snot sucker that hooks to our vacuum. 😂
I highly recommend running a humidifier when they sleep as well as having them sleep on an angle (you can put some books under their mattress where their head goes) to help drain all that snot down. I have 4 kids and as soon as they begin to get stuffy they ask me to run the humidifier. My youngest is 7mo and caught covid last month. I was totally expecting her to get stuffed up to the point she couldn’t nurse anymore but that never happened. She was congested but always able to breathe and actually breathed better when sleeping prob due to the humidifier.
This video is concerning on so many levels - firstly it’s not researched…. Even the advice given she says “I think… google it” And the informal breast feeding is just dangerous full stop

Does that still work if the woman is not a mother, or at any rate not the child's mother? That would be awesome if so
That’s amazing about men and women and difference between skin to skin! God creates us so beautifully ☺️
This is amazing!! I’m a mom of 2 and have never come across this info. THANK YOU!!! ❤ all moms needs this. You are such a gift. 🙏
Glad it was helpful!
Both kids have been sick since thanksgiving it feels like. A 3 year old and a 1 year old. 🙏🏻
My friends have definitely asked me for breastmilk for conjunctivitis! It really works, and you don’t need much
You should put a book together about this…
I believe the homeopathic remedy you are referring to is Oscillococcinum. God bless and thank you for this video

Right?! Up to a couple degrees, if I remember correctly!
Mom of a sick 5yo here ✌🏼 he went to urgent care three times last week and it sure was a doozy. I’m glad I found this!!

Beautiful lady inside and out 😊 us without family near definitely benefit from your sharing of this ❤

Can you please make a video what you eat on a day or week doing the carnivore diet
You look so pretty! At first glance I thought you had babies breath in your hair:)
Needed this video thank you ❤ Baby and I are sick right now on top of him having ongoing health issues at 5 months old 😢
Love these!! Specially cool to hear about the skin-to-skin differences! Would love any tips for teething 🥰 my poor little guy is going through it 😢
Belladonna is also a great homeopathic for high fevers (we get a prescription from our dr)
I’ve never heard of getting a prescription for it since we get it online or at health food stores! Love that the doctor supports it, though!
This is amazing! love skin to skin and got away from it as my kids became toddlers. Going to go back to that :) Praying for the baby you are watching and her family. Also praying for your sister!

Love these!! Specially cool to hear about the skin-to-skin differences! If you have any tips for helping my little guy with teething I’d greatly appreciate it 🥰
This is good stuff! Thanks
We lived in Ireland too and our 6th child was born there.
Great video Cameron. I shared it on Facebook.😊
Thanks for sharing!!
@@cfradd I was glad to do it.😊
Oscillococcinum, made by Boiron
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
3:54 you’re killing me man.
I wonder if you could use citrus or eucalyptus shower steamer tablets?
yes I often have Eucalyptus hanging in my shower
Love this!
Amazing ❤
Oscillicoccinum…or something like that
oscillococcinum!
Did anybody else catch the political correction of "pregnant people?" I hope that was an honest mistake.

Use saline drops to loosen/rinse out the snot. Then use the Frida to suck it out. It helps a ton!
Cameron if you are going to post advice about babies DO RESEARCH before! 😅
Pregnant people? Didn’t expect that from you Cameron 😂 maybe it wasn’t intentional
not said on purpose ( I think I said that before when we all knew it was a lady)
@@cfradd whew, you scared me for a second :)
The homeopathic remedy is called Oscillococcinum!
❤❤❤
Oscillococcinum
Or, you can take your baby to the pediatrician. When my child was ill, that's what I did. Mother knows best! Bless you anyway
