We added a zoomed in map for this video. Did you find this valuable? Should I keep it in there for next time?
@@NickLindner yes I really liked the map, maybe zoom it out a bit more to see more of the piece of structure?
Yes, extremely cool just to see contours to help with the structure side of things where they are relating to + not giving up your spots. Win-win situation!!
Nick, you gotta tell us how long the fish is we donât care how much they weigh but how long they are. Give him a quick measure. We can see if theyâre fat or not the way you hold them up to the camera thanks,BIG VINNY.
Hey Nick, really appreciate these uncut videos. Being new to livescope and side imaging, itâs extremely helpful to get to see your tactics for finding different spots and working those areas. Honestly, all of your videos with your very detailed explanations on various presentations and strategies have been extremely helpful. Keep up the great work, and thank you.
Wow, thanks for the kind words! My #1 goals are to be honest and helpful
I spend a lot of time scoping. I'm thoroughly impressed with your casting accuracy and how lined up you have your transducer dialed. It ain't easy landing your bait on the screen every time.
Thanks! Lots of practice, but also I still have a lot of room to improve tbh
Really digging this video format. This is REAL fishing and super informative!
Thanks mark! It seems to be a decent format for learning. Kinda like looking over someoneâs shoulder while they are doing it.
Thanks Nick! Caught half this morning and now the rest! Always nice tips as you fish!
Thatâs awesome David. You made it through the full marathon!
Great video Nick. This is the exact content that I'm looking for. I don't want to watch someone hoist fish after fish. I'm year 3 into active target and STILL learning. Your casting ability (accuracy) is amazing. Please keep making these type of videos. Possibly add maybe some reaction type baits in the future. Thanks!!
Thanks Bret. Glad you're enjoying the videos, and also thanks for the suggestion. More videos to come!
I'm new to FFS and trying to gain the confidence to give it a real effort. I think these videos are very helpful for me to gain some patience. Thank you keep them coming.
Will do! Patience is key, especially with walleyes.
Love the uncut vids, I feel like I learn way more.
Thanks for watching. Iâve always felt like I learned the most watching over someoneâs shoulder as they fish
Excellent video of some great old school walleye fishing. Love that you show it all step by step. Gotta get my son to watch. I shiver minnow or spoon bait the bay of Green bay but gonna do a day of old school now. Thank you Nick!!! Still watching at 1 hr 53 min. Lol
Thanks for watching deep into the video! Gotta love the simple jig and crawler
Amen, have a huge jig box I've had for 30 yrs gonna open her up this week and go back to some if this fishing. Thanks again
Great seeing another raw video. These are my favorite. Find myself crossing my fingers for you to get them to bite. Learn a lot from these videos. Hopefully we will be able to put some of it to good use when we come to Minnesota from Indiana in October to fish.
Hopefully it helps you put some eyes in the boat!
Love the real fishing!
Thanks Scott!
Love the true reality fishing videos đŁđđŒ
Thanks for watching em!
Great vid again man! Keep these live uncut ones going! Makes work more bearable haha
Hahaha, glad I can help reduce the suffering!
đ„đ„ Loved watching this video, learned a lot from it. will definitely be trying some of these techniques next time I'm walleye fishing
Right on! Glad you enjoyed it and got some value!
The fishing may have been slower than you'd hoped for this video but thats reality. I very much appreciate the view of both maps
Very good video. Looking forward to seeing the next one.
Thanks! Such a slow start, but it ended up being a good day. Fun outing!
Love it!â€ïžđŁ
Thanks Evan!
Starting to like this format!! Shows what you have to deal with. Got some good ones today!!
Thanks man! Iâm all about the honest truth of it. I think this format does a reasonable job of doing that.
Great video!đ
Thanks for watching Brian
đ© i really enjoy the uncut videos. Shows what it really takes instead of highlight videos.
Thanks Chris. Iâm enjoying this format
Bro! New subscriber here! Love the videos, from Minnesota also.
Right on! Much appreciated, Justin
Fun format the live split screen. đ
Thanks Troy! It's a fun format imo
I liked seeing the raw videos, its nice seeing how often a pro actually catches fish and the thought process involved. What did people do before live scope lol
Look at Side Imaging and 2D all day! Haha
Great video
Much appreciated!
Rainy day here, and I'm home sick.. perfect video for lying on the couch.. maybe napping... lol
:( 1 hour 50 minutes in, when you made the comment about emojis..
Iâm glad I can help you fall asleep! Haha
Awesome videos I also fish central mn and most lakes I fish they wonât touch it or will spook if I get within 50 feet of them
Walleyes are so dang stingy
Great video! Love to know your livescope settings on one of these videos!
Hopefully coming soon!
đąI really enjoy these long uncut videos.
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying them
Thanks for showing real fishin
Iâm glad to do it!
Still watching can't find my sad emoji . Nice to watch your vids. The real deal . Keep making them and I'll keep watching. 30 below Mike from Alberta signing off.
Thanks Mike! No emoji is okay đ. Itâs the thought that counts of course!
First! Can't wait to see a walleye smack down!
You had to wait a little bit, but we got into some!
perfect format call you tell me which garmin chartplotter your using
This is a GPSMAP8610. The main reason I have the expensive unit is so I can record the screen for these videos.
Love the video Nick thanks for the lesson ,learn quite a bit listening. to your lessons ,what a beautiful lake ,keep up with the great vids in GOD's country Minnesota Heartland ,GOD bless
Thanks for watching Phil
lets go video game fishing!
My favorite kind of fishing!
đąlove the realness! Would also like to see why you started where you did
Right on. Thanks for the feedback Nick
Nick another good video, heading to Leech Lake so picking up some pointers, Happy Fourth of July đ©đĄđ€Ź
I hope you smashed em David!
Up here for a week so hope we do smash them!!
Love the vids! What are your Livescope settings.? You have that dialed in. Iâm on Enemy Swin in SD which is also a very clear lake. Just canât seen to get any detail past 60 ft. I do have the LV 34 also.
I would probably run through my settings at some point, but idk that Iâm doing anything special. Sometimes when folks have issues, they sometimes have damaged cords or a damaged transducer. Check that your transducer is one tick up when youâre in forward mode. I would also highly recommend factory resetting your unit if you canât figure anything out.
Will do thanks Nick.
I made it thru! Now, please do a 10-15 minute video on your set-ups.. rod/reel/ line/ leader, hardware, knots etc.. for, lets say 3-5 of your favorite summer set ups (jig, drop shot, slip bobber etc) I have a ton of gear/ baits, but very little experience in warm water/ walleye fishing.. and I now live in the Midwest, after 25 years living high in the Colorado mountains ;)
Thatâs a good call Mike. I gotta do that
Kraken 63, 8612xsv lvs34 & NBT being installed right now. Trying to learn as much as I can before getting wet. Is the green line on mapping your chosen calibration setting or the LVS34 direction? Been a Linder fan since the âMidwest Outdoorsâ days!
Thank you for passing on the knowledge. 11:34
Youâre going to have a sicker setup than me once you have that thing in the water.
Thatâs actually just a screen recording of Lakemaster maps on my phone. Idk if thereâs a good way to calibrate that with the phone, so Iâm just stuck with the wacky green line for now.
@@NickLindner Iâm 56 and realized at a young age that a 26 minute fishing show was likely a week of footage. Social ffs videos portray âinstant resultsâ with no mention of editing! Thank you for showing the realtime aspect. I keep checking the App Store, but still no app for common sense. Thank you.
@@SeanBrown-b9r I understand why editing exists, but oftentimes it sets unrealistic expectations for folks when they finally get a free weekend to go fishing. Iâll still do my fair share of ânormalâ videos and social media posts, but I want to continue doing these, too, so folks can sit back and observe how it really goes down on the water.
Lol.. When you watch them ignore your offerings all winter ice fishing, and then torture yourself throughout the summer watching livescope rejections, your a true walleye fanatic, good or bad I'm not sure;) I chase everything from Panfish on up!
Iâm sitting here replying to comments, wishing I was throwing at marks on Livescope. Iâm so addicted.
Are you using the Garmin map in your vids?
Lakemaster mapping
đąI think having tracking on in the gps view would be helpful to see how fast you move through a spot. It could also be informative to see the direction of the live and how you are scanning. Great video!
Iâll take a look at that for sure. Thanks for watching.
đą listened while I was driving
Hopefully your eyes didnât wander to the livescope screen too often haha
I have had hundreds of fish snub my bobber and leech this week
Sounds like some typical walleye behavior! Haha
Jig N rap. make em bite!
It has its time and place!
đą I watched the entire video. Lots of sunny's on my lake I have to fish walleye at night after the sunny's go to bed
Makes sense! The sunnies can be a pain in the butt. I try to avoid them
Itâs fun watching real world fishing rather than just the catching đąđ
Thanks Eric!
đąđąđą is perfect representation of Ohio inland lake fishing
Good! Hopefully it can help in your scenario
It's called fishing, not catching. Sometimes the scenery is the highlight of the trip. When you're fishing a lake with minimal/no weeds, where do you look for 'eyes?
Rocks are always good. Hard to soft bottom transitions. Sharp breaks. Saddle shaped structure
