We are back with another walleye fishing video! In this video we are fishing for late June Walleyes on a natural lake. We are using Moonshine Lures Shiver Minnows and Kalins Search Baits to target basin relating walleyes.

I really like the double snap to elevate the bait higher in the water column and let it glide back to the bottom! Nice tip!!

Have tried the glide baits and figured I just need more practice with them. Love the search bait though, have more confidence in those!!

Thanks for illustrating your favorite walleye artificial lures. I'm originally from Manitowoc, WI, but fish mostly in SC, where we live now, or in Louisiana, where my daughter and her family live. We catch lots of specked trout (really a drum) and redfish using pop bobbies. Enough background... What walleye lures would you recommend me to try on speckled trout or redfish. The water generally is tainted. Thanks for your suggestions. Rick Kaminski

Y’all are staying busy, so thanks for that. Not sure if you’re still dealing with your microphone AA battery woes, but those Sony body packs have a USB-C input you could hook up a power bank to. Velcro a thin one right to the back and never worry again.
Appreciate it. We use battery packs. It does save some AAs.
Any tips on how you keep your search bait from getting tangled when casting?
@TomBoley The only thing i would ask to see is a few vids without electronics or just chart and spot fish sounds dumb but just more relatable for ppl who dont have mega or spot-lock. ?Ever use Cane poles?
Tom, would like to see you try some pork/fake crawler imitations with search bait. Or at least hear your opinion on it.????

Tom. Knowing that you use the physical 70* angle on your transducer, the Mega Live - Mask will definitely clear up a LOT of that clutter you're seeing on your graph! You should install the longer mask since you rarely, if ever, position the transducer to perspective mode. Give it a shot. I think you'll be glad you did! ... 😉

Got any tips to keep the search bait from tangling on itself. Tried the 5/8 yesterday with leeches and the hook kept flipping over the eyelet/line
I’ve found that at the end of the cast while it’s still in the air if you stop the line it will spin the bait around so it’s facing you rather than going directly away from you it won’t tangle nearly as much. I use a bait casting outfit with great success and it’s easier for me to stop the line with my thumb when turning the bait around

I generally run my live at 100'.
A lot of times I try to hit the fish at 80 or 90
Going to give this a try next week, I've always just trolled in the summer for eyes but just picked up live scope and going to try sharp shooting.

@@TomBoley I saw you there last year having dinner at the marina but didn’t want to bug you. Me and my buddy crushed the lakers there that day. I’m mostly a laker fisherman but I’m gonna start focusing on the walleye. It’s a tough place to catch eaters. I have more trophy walleye than I do eaters there lol
genuinely curios how you aren’t bring back weeds or getting snagged every other cast. My lakes pretty rocky but has some veg and I can’t ever throw jig n raps unless it’s on beaches beaches of weeds any rips

I'm guessing you don't fish much haha....if you did, then with the tips he gives you could be successful on your own. BUT you assume that this guy should ship you his entire setup for free while holding your hand to do it.
