Today we are back with another walleye fishing video! Today we are fishing a couple different smaller lakes for summer walleyes. We often overlook the small lake walleye opportunity in search of big water and larger fish. The truth is many of these small lakes can be great for walleyes when you fish them a little bit differently. Thanks for watching the summer walleye fishing videos!

Great break down on the smaller waters! Thanks for that. Exciting stuff!
Can't wait to have Mitch back!
This video really hits home. I fish the same style of lakes you show here. Learned a lot of good pointers.
More great content, Tom! Thanks for the video's. Really enjoyed Ft Peck !
Great video Tom! small lakes can be a welcome break to bigger home water fishing.
Tom, thanks. Going to one of those small lakes next week.
Thanks for the ongoing awesome content!
Thanks for watching it! 👍
This is the video I’ve been waiting for ! Love it
Another great video Tom! Love the app! Really it’s like Toms your friend, comes in your boat and wants you to catch fish…. It’s like Your Mitch!
Thanks for doing a small lake edition!! I've really learned A TON from your other videos but I really only fish smaller lakes like these ones. (kayak fishing, Ontario Canada) Over the last 3 days I've fished 2 lakes. Day 1: 5 walleye in the 16/17 inch range. Day 2: 15 walleye all 13-14 inches. Day 3: one 22 inch mama and 5x 16-17 inch fish. Can't wait to try a worm fueled drop shot and the search bait when I can find one. Awesome content as always!
Thanks T. I didn't know walleyes would hit a drop shot. You tossed that smallie back like it was a carp....haha. I know I said it before, but your channel and app are such great educational tools. Cheers, JJ
Good to have a Mitch sighting!!
Great vid Tom!
Thanks for watching! 👍
I think we need a fun day with Cody and Shelby in the boat. Those two are hilarious. Mitchell can stay home and work lolol.
These are the videos I want to watch. Small water, northern Wisconsin fishing. It’s honestly super boring watching yet another video of somebody fishing Mille Lacs, Leech, etc etc etc.
Fishing little lakes like that and getting 2-3 walleyes is a win any day. Enjoy fishing new lakes and my personal goal is always 2 walleye.
I agree.... a few decent walleyes on othole lakes is good day!
Love watching your videos. Wish I could catch them like u . Thanks for the tips
Appreciate you watching!
Excellent once again..
You’re doing a LOT better job hiding identifying factors to the lakes in these videos. Thanks!
I do what I can haha
Great call out! I'm a shore owner in NW Wisconsin. My neighbor and I fish the most on our lake. He fishes memories (same spots - e.g. crappie suspension late summer, or shallows off a point where early year walleye set up - but he does it all year instead of going deep in mid/late summer). I say this because he has time to fish different ways, and doesn't. He has full year shore access and fishes the same "easy" catch. Now think about the non-shore owner who learns about quick hit areas. The ecosystem will go sideways and upside down in a hurry!
Toms a smart dude not revealing his location unlike the ytube ass hole that tells everyone not only the lake but the name of the boat launch
Thanks tom, I’d love to know when the search baits going to be back in stock!!! Been looking for a month and no one has them!!
Love the side imaging content. Also would you consider a lindy rig more of a search bait even though you are rigging?
Go to is Lindy man!!! Always hits.
Much appreciated. I dont have FFS. Maybe someday. But YOU can catch em with just telepathy. Anyways, thanks for what you provide us!
Sware to god those little lakes they jump on the boat. Always catching a fish on the top doing something distracted haha
Say, love the boat. On your three screen setup what you power it with?
You are also spot on! Don’t get up north as much as I used to with the three kids haha so I jump smaller lakes near cities and Wisconsin. More practical for sure.
Thanks Tom, 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
You should come down and do a video on the Madison chain
Hey Tom great video as usual, what is the name of the company you use for your mega live mounts can't seem to find them online
Nice
What was that first bait you used? Search? Surge?
Do you fish points deep to shallow or shallow to deep if you only have side imaging?
Love the videos, I'm not even a walleye guy. (Musky) i have a hard time identifying fish on forward facing sonar. When you say there they are way out there, i don't see anything on there that represents a fish. Can you do a portion of a video where you just show us what to look for on ffs that are fish. How to identify them ?
It's alot easier on garmin to distinguish fish. Humminbird and lowrance is inferior quality of picture wise.
Hey tom just a question how do you like mega live? Been looking at mega vs livescope. Even though my decision should be clear, i run hummingbird. Just wanted your opinion if possible
Livescipe is superior. Garmin has it nailed. Humminbird has better side imaging. Lowrance is inferior including support.
what mount system do you have for the mega live
How do you keep the sunfish from biting off your crawler?
Natural you are going to lose some crawlers to little fish. But most the time when you are sharp shooting walleyes you bait doesn't go around as many gills and stuff
So, this week for every half-dozen casts using the "Search" bait...the lure would come back in a ball, hung up on itself maybe 1/3rd to half the time. What is the casting secret or secret to descent to keep this lure from doing that? Thanks...
I do a lot of different things to that bait. Check out the walleye Now App video we shot on that.
Easily one of my summer go to lures
@TomBoley I have long had your app and will check it out, thanks Tom. It gets frustrating winding that lure thru walleyes piled up seeing it all balled up by the time it comes back to the boat. I have caught walleyes when the worm does trail as it should, in tow behind the head and spinner. Thanks again
Upgrading your rig Tom? Getting a 238? ;)
Hope to run a 2090 tiller til the day I die haha
What kind of shoes are those
What net is that?
Odd question but what boots are you wearing in this video Tom?
Simms ankle rubber boots
@@TomBoley are they the 7” I’m seeing on their website. They don’t look like yours at the top, or are your an older model they don’t make anymore. Thanks!!
Mine might be a new style unreleased or something
No no tom come to Iowa .. bet you struggle.. black Hawk lake. Lake view Iowa . Show me.. no weeds at all or structural stuff
Can anyone tell me a good place I can fish in Wisconsin or Michigan that's close to northern Illinois and that would be-a good lake I can fish for walleye??? Planning the dates late September or 1st week in October....
Thanks for any information
Lake Michigan!
I'll second lake Michigan green bay
Winnebago system if your looking for eater sized fish. Also Petenwell lake is like going to Canada without all the socialists comies but tons of fish 🤣 But seriously both excellent choices and yes Green Bay if you want big fish.
Thank you gentlemen
Lake Geneva especially at night from late September all the way to ice.
What shoes are you wearing?
Simms ankle boots
Nice eyes
1) IL does NOT have walleyes, or cabin country, unless you're on the mississippi river. 2) jimminey Christmas. I can't believe you can read that forward facing sonar and actually see the search bait on there. 3) 5 over 15" is the WI state-wide limit, excepting specific limits for specific bodies of water. Just FYI. Love this stuff, gives me hope that I may in fact, one day, catch enough walleye on the Madison chain to make a fish fry.
Actually you and Tom are both sort of half right. Most of Northern WI is a 3 fish limit with a 15-20 inch slot (1 of your 3 can be over 24 inches). Most of Southern WI is a 5 over 15 inch limit. As you mentioned, many waters in WI have their own special regulations so it's best to research the regulations for where you want to fish.
@@timlisi871 dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/Fishing/regulations/dailybag.html
It’s right at the bottom: walleye, sauger and hybrid combined limit 5 in total.
It is distracting watching your keys, expecting them to fall in the water.
Please put your keys in your pocket or in a bag.
