Very easy, no tools required, be sure to get the right bulb, keep the same wattage to avoid melting your headlights! H7 bulb type for both high and low beams.
This is the best of the three lamp replacement video's. Thanks for the close-up showing and explaining how to remove the wire clip (missing from the other videos!
The repair shop wanted to charge one hour labor(!,) for this. You Gotta be kidding me, that’s what the book called for? Plus the price of a bulb. It took me an hour to find a video that describes how easy it was, and took me 5 minutes(!) after I found your video. Probably saved me at least $125, you rock! thank you so much!
Thanks so much I was about to trade my C300 in that’s how frustrated I was lol .... the body shop next to me who advertises free bulb installation on a 4’x8’ sign wouldn’t dare install my bulbs so went in head first and boy I’m glad I found this video
excellent thank you. now my family thinks Im a genius for changing out the the low and high beams simultaneously. when compared to their first option of taking it to MB mechanic or dealer. again thanks :)
Thank you very much dear friend for this detail video, tough part for me was removing the latch ...I was able to replace the driver side low beam for my c300 2011 !!! Saved me $$!!
This is the way to do it on a 2010 C300 sport--most of the other videos show a different model. Not easy to get the wire catch open but after that a piece of cake.
i have a c300 2011...its amazing how easy it is to replace bulbs, wipers, air filters, oil filter (front top loaded). But I dread the day I have to replace a shock (around 1,100) or brakes. I do know that the brake ads themselves are smaller than the disc. So you have to replace the whole thing. That's when they bend you over.
John Lefebvre The whole factory OEM replacement breaks for my 2013 C300 was only $450. Sure that seems like a lot compared to other cars but it is a Mercedes benz and it's a decent price to pay for brand new breaks. As for shocks I do hear they are very expensive and unfortunately where I live there are potholes everywhere.
Wow thanks for this vid! Just what I needed! I've been quoted $225 from multiple places didn't even bother to call MB $$. I knew it wasn't that complex. Now that being said I have a 2013 C250. I'm going to check to see if mine looks similar to this. 🙏🏾 If so I'm going to try to do it myself and God willing save a couple hundred bucks for the next repair😩.
Sean _ yes ridiculous right! No $225 for one bulb. I was sick about that honestly. Luckily I was able to fix it might need a helping hand to help you because it’s a tight space especially on the driver side.
WorldOfRandomStuff oh hey! Girl I done this myself. Took me a hot hour to do it because it was night time and I was unsure. I watched this video several times, went to autozone and got some fresh bulbs came home and went for it. The hood goes all the way back so do that. The space is tight so small hands are helpful. All totaled I spent $10 bucks
Excellent video - really appreciate your time to assist. Only issue for me was I forgot to start the engine to alert the car's computer that the fault had been fixed, so I stupidly went through the process three times.
Thank you for your video. We've used it before to change the bulbs successfully. The last time we were doing this the wire piece that holds the bulb in fell down in the car and we can't find it. Any idea how we can get another without purchasing the entire light assembly at $450???
@@randall928 at the moment ive got High Performance LED lights on my w205 AMG so im wondering what type of LED bulbs Mercedes are using on their cars so i can buy same bulbs for my other car . Thanks
I’m not sure what YEAR Mercedes you’re talking about but your instructions didn’t work for my 2014 C300. Pull outer cap off, grab the electrical connector and twist a quarter turn counterclockwise, pull out the electrical connector with bulb attached. There’s no wire to latch or unlatch. Just remove the cap and twist the electrical connector. To reinstall, reinsert new bulb and twist until it clicks.
where is the best place to go to buy these bulbs? should i go to mercedes or just buy it online like will mercedes dealership cost me out the ass liek 50$ when onlie they would do 20$? mind you im making these number up im just wondering if they will sewer me at the dealership for this bulb
I’m getting really frustrated. Every video I’ve seen has different laches, and none have the one I have. This is the closest one. Except for some fucking reason mine has two latches. One at the bottom which I can’t unlatch because I can’t see what I’m doing, and my finger barely fits. Who the fuck puts a latch at the bottom where it’s not reachable !?
totally agree with your comment, even on my C300 the low beam and high beam bulb holders are different, the high beam is very odd and hard to install new bulbs, even though the bulb is the same for hi or low beam.
This is the best of the three lamp replacement video's. Thanks for the close-up showing and explaining how to remove the wire clip (missing from the other videos!
Was coming here to make the very same comment.
Agree with Wayne Smith - the best of the bulb replacement videos. Thanks for the step by step instructions.

This by far is the best in showing how it's done. thank you for teaching us.

Excellent video, you can actually see how to replace the bulb.

its not that bad.. for my c300 2010 i could get brade pads and rotors all high performance for aroughtly $800-1,100 CAD
John, My windshield wipers needs to be replaced. Please do a video and thank you again.
Saved me a lot of time. Thanks!
This video was very helpful. Thanks so much!

Thanks man
I had to watch 5-6 videos before I could see what was happening. All the others’ cameras were either too shaky or of the subject. Thanks!

Really good video with clear instructions. Does anyone know what color temp bulb to use to match the OEM bulb color?
Awesome video.. very helpful 😊
How do you replace the small mini bulb thats next to the low beam?
hi, how do you get pass the water reservoir? seems to be in the way for the left headlight
The driver side is a little hard to do
Just did it yesterday for both sides. The drivers side wasn't any more difficult. The hardest part of this is getting that metal clip off of the bulb.
Will it work on a 2013 C250 coupe?
How to replace the lightbulb on the license plate of a 2009 he said he’s been C class 300
Thank you sir
Thanks Sir.
Thanks for the info. I hate having Mercedes change anything. They charge up the ass.
It worked but to my surprise driver side had a wire latch and the other side was a friction clamp..odd
my low beam message just came on, can I purchase this bulb at a auto store or dealership?
you can buy at any auto parts store or major online retailer
Do you know the make of the original bulbs ?
normally Bosch or Osram, but they have been known to use Philips also

Good advice, the video is on a 2010, these headlights were used from 2008 to 2012 model years
Hi, Do it matter if I have a 2010?
This video is actually a 2010
Liqidarts I just wanted to say thank you very much. I received two different dealerships price $58 and $74 just to replace my bulb at Mercedes.

LerouxJewelry online try ebay or Amazon
What year is your c300?
It's a 2010, 115K miles, no major repairs to date, very reliable
Liqidarts I have an 09 c300 thanks man!!!
