  • Very easy, no tools required, be sure to get the right bulb, keep the same wattage to avoid melting your headlights! H7 bulb type for both high and low beams.

    The repair shop wanted to charge one hour labor(!,) for this. You Gotta be kidding me, that’s what the book called for? Plus the price of a bulb. It took me an hour to find a video that describes how easy it was, and took me 5 minutes(!) after I found your video. Probably saved me at least $125, you rock! thank you so much!

    This is the way to do it on a 2010 C300 sport--most of the other videos show a different model. Not easy to get the wire catch open but after that a piece of cake.

    i have a c300 2011...its amazing how easy it is to replace bulbs, wipers, air filters, oil filter (front top loaded). But I dread the day I have to replace a shock (around 1,100) or brakes. I do know that the brake ads themselves are smaller than the disc. So you have to replace the whole thing. That's when they bend you over.

    • @keeblerelmcookies
      @keeblerelmcookies Před 7 lety +1

      John Lefebvre The whole factory OEM replacement breaks for my 2013 C300 was only $450. Sure that seems like a lot compared to other cars but it is a Mercedes benz and it's a decent price to pay for brand new breaks. As for shocks I do hear they are very expensive and unfortunately where I live there are potholes everywhere.

    Wow thanks for this vid! Just what I needed! I've been quoted $225 from multiple places didn't even bother to call MB $$. I knew it wasn't that complex. Now that being said I have a 2013 C250. I'm going to check to see if mine looks similar to this. 🙏🏾
    If so I'm going to try to do it myself and God willing save a couple hundred bucks for the next repair😩.

    • @LatriceDiane
      @LatriceDiane Před 6 lety

      Sean _ yes ridiculous right! No $225 for one bulb. I was sick about that honestly. Luckily I was able to fix it might need a helping hand to help you because it’s a tight space especially on the driver side.

      WorldOfRandomStuff oh hey! Girl I done this myself. Took me a hot hour to do it because it was night time and I was unsure. I watched this video several times, went to autozone and got some fresh bulbs came home and went for it. The hood goes all the way back so do that. The space is tight so small hands are helpful. All totaled I spent $10 bucks

    I’m not sure what YEAR Mercedes you’re talking about but your instructions didn’t work for my 2014 C300. Pull outer cap off, grab the electrical connector and twist a quarter turn counterclockwise, pull out the electrical connector with bulb attached. There’s no wire to latch or unlatch. Just remove the cap and twist the electrical connector. To reinstall, reinsert new bulb and twist until it clicks.

    I’m getting really frustrated. Every video I’ve seen has different laches, and none have the one I have. This is the closest one. Except for some fucking reason mine has two latches. One at the bottom which I can’t unlatch because I can’t see what I’m doing, and my finger barely fits. Who the fuck puts a latch at the bottom where it’s not reachable !?

    • @randall928

      totally agree with your comment, even on my C300 the low beam and high beam bulb holders are different, the high beam is very odd and hard to install new bulbs, even though the bulb is the same for hi or low beam.
