Devon, I’m not gonna lie. Saturday was heartbreaking. I’ve never had such a range of emotions in a sporting event that I had from round 1 through round 4. It took a few days to shake it off. But you know what? It doesn’t matter, it never really did. It’s about the climb, and you sir are a fkn LEGEND. We all know you’ll absorb this loss and use at as fkn rocket fuel to get even stronger.

As to the energy of the match, its more how much energy devon expends before the ref says go. I think devon is already applying back pressure or carving in during the press conference. All he needs to beat levan is start even earlier next time, maybe armwrestle levan while he is still asleep the night before the match. And keep employing blind refs too, if one of them in the last 4 years was doing his job Devon would have fouled out a bunch of times.

Overhead camera for determining center AND to prohibit crossing over the center with arm and/or shoulder is very necessary...More referee technology would be nice, too. Look at tennis with electric line calling now. Baseball is experimenting with electronic umpiring in AAA leagues right now. Take a look at Sandris' match. In that first round when it all stopped, my mouth was open, I was a complete blank, and in that moment was nothing but infinity. Also the match with Viatly vs Levan was like 4-5 years ago, it would be weird that Levan didn't get stronger over that time frame. A lot of people are also saying that he would beat Vitaly now, no effort. Feel free to correct me though.
Locking out in King's move position is not just about safety. You are locking out the arm so that your opponent has to overcome not only your pronation but your joint leverage too, especially when the shoulder dips below parallel.
