The R3 owners are one of the best motorcyclists in the market, they have the passion and zeal to buy and maintain the R3. I regret not buying the R3 in 2019(last batches) at that time my max emi i could afford was 20k , I wanted to close loan in a year. So i went with the R15V3. After few months i got better salary and I instantly regretted not buying this machine. Nonetheless I am ok with R15.
Yes.... I understand. An opportunity missed. So close.... However, R15 is awesome. Nothing comes close to it in that segment. So glad that you shared your story. I love reading and listening to all these amazing R3 stories. Cheers man! 😎👍
@Highway To Hill I got mine delivered on Sept 2019, A top executive of Yamaha congregated me and said he's happy that I'm on the few owners of this bike lol
Very interesting video and thanks for taking effort to bring this on the table! I think they shld setup an exclusive premium bike showroom jus like Big Wing or Kawasaki or Benelli where only premium and above 250cc bikes are sold. Yamaha’s concept of single showroom for all bikes may not work down the line. Even the salesperson push for 150cc category motorcycles since major chunk of profit lies there. Like u said, as a bike R3 is a fantastic product and it doesn’t really need any marketing or push from salesman. Its their selling strategy that’s ruining this awesome bike!
Thanks da... You are right. Many major manufacturers are doing this... Maruti Suzuki has Nexa and Arena. Honda has Big Wing. Even Bajaj/KTM has ProBiking showrooms. This will enable them to focus on different products from beginner to advance levels. Yamaha has Blue Square but is limited till 250 cc bikes.
Mahnnnn any hope for BS6 R3 by these year coz the rolling piston videos shows an interview with Yamaha chairperson they assured that they are working on it; & guess what they told Indian is not ready for 1000cc & it's too much for Indian market; shit shame on Yamaha India- really I'm frustrated af with Yamaha but also don't wanna settle with Ninja300:(
Yea... I totally understand your frustration. However, the chairman hasn't really said anything about R3 specifically. For past one year he has been saying that R7, MT07 and MT09 will come. Nothing has happened.
No way will they relaunch this bike, with such dismal sales nos. They can't compete with ninja 300 which is the king of the hill in the parallel twin 300 segment
I also feel R3 owners have a strong community as compared to other motorcycle clubs
Seriously... Better sense prevailed in my head too and I got this gem! Cheers!

Yeah... The Yamaha SVP Sales & Marketing did acknowledge the dismal numbers to be one of the reasons to discontinue the R3.
