I was checking out the new steel brace tires and rhe lightness of these tires was surprising considering my current 140/70 MRF Revs-S (R15M/V4 stock) tire is way heavier.
Actually I have been trying to find out the exact weight of these tyres but no luck. Not mentioned on the box or anywhere else. When I picked up the tyres, it didn't feel too heavy. Rear might be around 5 kgs or less I suppose.
One of very few creators I wait upon for a new drop !! Helped me a lot on my journey with R3... Would be looking forward for H1 vs mrf comparo... By then I'll try to use up my current H1 set 👀
I just got protorq extreme today after your recommendation. I wanted to go with MRF but followed ur advice. will let you know the feedback soon. This mrf tyre looks different. enjoy 👍
@@HighwayToHill Heya help me with the stencil number. i spoke to Eurogrip guys for registering my tyres for the warranty but they have failed to explain me what the stencil numbers is on the tyres. you must have registered for the warranty. even Google confuses 🙏🏼
Nice. These look different than the steel brace on my Speed 400. The groove pattern is different. Interesting. Maybe it was updated or there are variants in the steel brace I'm assuming. Have fun with the new rubber!
@@HighwayToHill Man I typed my reply 2 times and both the times they were not uploaded due to internet issues lol Whew, I will type it again. The Speed 400 is my first motorcycle so I don't have a reference point to compare the tyres to. But yes, I have been riding with them, doing highway trips and these just make me feel like I am in control all the time of the handling and braking. I am just now experimenting with slight decrease/increase in tyre pressures to see what works best for me. I was riding a Suzuki Burgman before but this is completely different in terms of wheel size and tyre compound. I was surprised that I felt comfortable leaning more than I would on the motorcycle at a long curvy stretch on the highway at 100-110. Maybe that's not just the tyres but the tyres were a factor too I felt. In wet roads, I ride in a sedated manner but still whenever I had to brake suddenly, I could do so without any issue. Unrelated to the tyre, I have been trying to improve my skills starting from the basics such as gripping the tank with my knees, holding the motorcycle with the heel pressed to the heel plate and my toes on the footpegs, my upper body completely free and relaxed to maneuver the motorcycle, been practicing emergency braking, my major crash taught me to be more aware and cautious while touring on road. I am also not stepping out on the motorcycle now without riding boots and leather gloves (with a helmet of course) Will go to track riding school in future, but any recommendations/tips to improve my skills and experience as you've been riding for a long time now? Thank you!
