I know a similar strategy where you use Bollinger bands with the volume. When the price breaks the upper or lower Bollinger bands but the volume bar has to greater than the previous volume bar and the price has to be lower or higher than the previous price (highest or lowest point). I can give details if interested.

Just to let you know if you watch the acual video by trade and get paid he also explains that the 9ma is also only the first take profit with the middle bollinger band being the 2 and the outside being the third take profit and he also explains how you can tell if you should stay in with the 9 crossover the middle 20 band and moving your stop loss into profit it is a day trader scalping strategy no a set it and forget it stategy so the test that trade pro did on this was a hack job and untruthful in my opinion

i think he entered as the returning candle is entering the bollenger bands and also he let them run further. the 9 sma is the first target, so he moved the stop loss to that, and let them run, moved the stop loss to 20sma and then finally to the opposite bollinger band. this seems much better already especially if you used some extra indicators/ rules to select entrys over others. you kind of trashed his channel, but with misinformation

he missed the point where it gets explained how to continue the ride. You don't always close at the 9. and with a little modification and an understanding of when not to trade. this does work. It is a slow grind yes. There are better ways to trade yes. If you understand S/R zones you can kill it with this simple entry technique as an added confirmation to what you are already thinking. Man i frequently just hop on the trend and ride it to S/R. its completely mindless. But it works. And probably the reason this failed is ... it's bitcoin. Bitcoin does not behave like anything else. The rules that will work on anything else do not help you on the lottery ticket investment that is bitcoin. you might hit the jack pot. and you might get wiped out. and either can happen soooooooo fast and without any warning. Bitcoin is the vegas investment. The most unstable trading asset out there. oh sure.. it's at 50,000 or so today. could be 3000 in a day. That's Bitcoin for you. It moves on shear herd power. When the herd is all in on the cool fad... you get these nice long upswings. But when the herd starts to panic sell. oh, it's black friday in 1929. Stampede sell.

I have yet to find a better strategy than the hidden divergence strat as of yet. I do it a little different than you do though. I use a 2 stage take profit. Take profit 1 is resistance/support level, move stop to break even, take profit 2 is a 10/20 ema cross. I have very few losses and HUGE wins due to the running trades. I can not thank you enough for showing me such a great strategy!
Indicators used: stochastic, rsi, vwap, ema 50/200, ema 10/20, atr, volume, and Fibonacci, trend lines, support/resistance
It seems like a lot but this works for me and that is all that matters. The macd/ema/atr is a close second! ;)
What time frame are you using?
@@suncoastbuddy8717 all the timeframes. I start off on the daily and 4 hourly to detect any patterns/trends and than I move on to the other time frames. The 3min, 5min, and 15min are my favorites. But I do use all the timeframes, even the 1 min!
Nice, thanks for sharing. I use the MACD, StochRSI, VWAP (with +1 and -1) and ATRTrailstop. It wins 75%-88% (have not tested it 100 times to be sure). I use the ATRtrailstop at 5/2 time frames with wilder. I adjust it based on the stock's volatility, as well (change the 2 to a 3 or the 2 to a 1.5). I use the VWAP and StochRSI with the MACD to pick up the best entry signals and the VWAP and StochRSI to make exits (I don't short). When price goes above +1VWAP, it is usually a sign to exit very soon so you use a combo of what the StochRSI is doing, the MACD is doing, and the ATRtrailstop is looking like. Rarely do prices pop above +1VWAP for long so it is usually a good indicator for take profit if you've been riding the momentum up that high. I use this on the 1m and 5m timeframe. When looking for long-timeframe reversals I'll look at 15m/1hr/4hr/1day timeframes + MACD.
I will back trade your setup/suggestion and see how it goes and get back to you (you don't need me to but it might be fun for you to hear from a moderately seasoned trader that I tested your setup).
I absolutely love sharing this information and I think it should be free. Let me know what you think of my trading strategy and see if you get the success I've seen (perhaps you'll figure out a way to do it even better).
@@Dominasty I’m a little confused on what you are doing with the vwap. I understand everything else with your strategy besides the vwap. What do you mean when you say +1 and -1? Also is it the normal vwap indicator? Do you take long entry signals above or below the vwap?
Btw thanks for checking my strat out! Here’s a simplified version of my strat so you don’t have to deal with so many indicators/confirmations.
Needed:
Rsi (hidden divergence)
Stochastic (entry)
Atr (x2 for stop loss)
4ema (10/20/50/200)
Price needs to be above 50/200 emas for long entry, below for short. Recent swing high/low is take profit 1. Move stop to break even. 10/20 cross is take profit 2.
(I usually do not take second take profit unless the cross happens above/below my first take profit level. I would rather break even than miss out on a running trade due to taking take profit 2 too early.)
