I'm a year and a half into trading every day and it took a year for me to figure out the trick. Having read about it many times it finally clicked that I needed to find a strategy with an edge and let the odds work out. I don't know how I didn't understand that at first. Then I understood why everyone and every book was saying how important it is to guard your capital. I'm fortunate that I still have half my account left after that first year and a half. After I figured out the mechanics I have been spending the last 6 months trying to get a grasp on the psychological part. So I can let my system work and stop sabatoging myself. I'm almost there and the last month I have been building back my account slow and steady. Keeping trades small and only upsizing as my account upsizes. I really appreciate your advice. How long have you been profitable now?
one the best explanations I've seen man, I've seen a trading strategy test vids were they use a bb strat were they say that the bands don't give a good win rate even though they blindly open a position without determining what trend they're in. this video explained so much for me. Will definitely test this thoroughly on a demo account

only with the Trend. But even in your example Chart there were 2 very nice
counter-trend setups. I realize this is not a part of your class, but using
Multi-time frames, for example following price action using a 30 minute chart
to determine directional bias and and 5 minute chart to devise entry/exits work
effectively to spot counter-trend setups.

This was a great video. I'll implement BB in my strategy with 50 (useful for stoploss target) and 200 ema + market liberator B and atr for stop loss considering volatility of the market.

08:35 we see RSI divergence and some traders predict market reversal (downtrend following the RSI pattern) but here in this case we see market keep on following the high trend

Yeah this with a bit of different approach got me a very high win rate and boosted my trading confidence. All we need is an edge in the market and also good risk management.
There is a tip if you want to use a higher time frame MA without using a MTF indicator so save space, simple math.....50 MA (15 min) x 4 = 200 MA (which equates to 50 MA (1 Hour) or 200 MA (15 min) x 4 = 800 MA which equates to 200 MA (1 Hour). I use MT4 and it allows you up to 4000 MA, so for instance if you want a 200 MA (4 Hour) on a 15 min chart then simply do 200 MA x 16 = 3200 MA (this equates to a 200 MA (4 Hour). I hope this makes sense, it would be difficult to have a really high time frame as it will surpass the 4000 MA threshold so using MTF indicators beyond this would survise, the only reason I mention this is due to stopping system overload in which some indicators do in some cases! Again I hope this helps and makes sense

Sir,Do you recommend pairs trading using forex( say EUR/JPY & GBP/JPY OR AUD/USD & NZD/USD)--correlations are 90% and that gives solid staying power & sharply cuts down draw downs. Buy underpriced pair & sell overpriced pair(say using 14 period RSI on 4H charts)? And there are lots of such pairs with 90%/80% correlations--and ALSO that would sharply cut down accounts blow ups even for A new trader.
Would love to know more of what these indicators are telling us. If we have hidden divergence in an uptrend, what does that mean with regards to the market, the players in the market, or whatever the reason is why its a positive sign?
in theory divergence on RSI and MACD means that a trend is losing strenght, and is going to reverse or become even stronger depending on the type of divergence. It tells that players in the market are more uncertain and are waiting for a catalyst to predict the continuation or reversal of the trend, I think

I see the way you draw divergence on price action is quite different! Example into the video 5.59 you draw the trendline on the price chart and avoided the long wick. This is the acceptable way?

Honestly the biggest take away for me here is that the RSI cant be overbought in an uptrend. Explains why price doesnt generally respect the indication.
What do suggest as far as taking profits go? Is it just find that value zone, target 2x the risk, and close 100% of the position once we hit the target? Or are we waiting until we see an overall trend reversal?
You can always scale out. Take some off when price gets to the basis, take some more off when price gets to the opposite band, once price crosses the band just trail your stop below the basis. Lots of different ways to exit or stay in a trade around bands and moving averages.

It is variable so there's no one best timeframe but you're better off using the higher timeframes in order to not lose sight of the bigger picture trend. I'm talking 4 hour, 6 hour, 12 hour, and daily for the anchor chart and then you can go down to lower timeframes for the regular divergence.
Can you look in to tino's hybrid system . His Channel Traders reality. Talks about vector candles and uses the 50 , 13, 5 ema and his own script on TView. and how market makers influence the market
the MTG Strategy uses 3EMAs as well and is insanely consistent

It's going really well! The account is up by about 11% unrealized profit at the moment although it's still unrealized so we will see if the profit targets are hit.

What do the bollinger bands here actually add versus just trading normal divergences? Do they filter out bad trades? You didn't really go into much detail here.

Bollinger bands in this case would add a layer of confirmation to your trades and can help with trading more confidently. Whether or not they help with a strategy is up to one's own testing
@@alexd9134 Yeah I understand that part, hence why I mentioned that it could filter out bad trades. But such a thing was not demonstrated in the video, which I was expecting. The video is more like: 'hey add this sauce to your recipe' - without clarifying what the sauce actually adds, if you get my drift.

Gee, I wish I could find the low timeframe that works IN REAL-TIME to get 100% accuracy that you show through the hindsight bias curve fitting? Complete garbage. Not realistic at all. Zero professional traders I know use this sort of nonsense hindsight bias analysis. One thing they will all use though, is order flow. Focus on reality of what is actionable at the hard right edge. This nonsense is not.
