    I am vert happy to see videos like this. I put my deposit down last week on the 2021 GP 1800R SVHO. It is the first I have ever bought anything with a motor without actually seeing it in person. I really feel like a kid at Christmas.

      There's a big difference. The FZR feels far more planted and a bit more "tippy" but that is because of its sportier, soft-chined hull. The GP hull feels flatter, rides much more "on top" of the water vs. the FZR and has a much "snappier" hair pin turn at WOT. You'll like it.

How do you compare the GHP1800R to the 310R? Will keep an eye on a review on the 2021 300R when it is released soon - but a comparison video would be great. It's 8 Torx screws to open up the engine compartment fully, permitting 40% more engine access. Since most folks don't do their own service, it's a non-issue. You can still clean your engine compartment and spray it down with no obstruction.

      It requires a bit of a learning curve. And frankly, we find that most programs that think for the rider, aren't smart enough. The new intake grate IS the RIVA G2 grate, so you're good there. The difference is the machined housing and new re-aligned weight distribution.

    Sea doos are better:
    - More accomodations for people
    - New IDF System
    - Close loop cooling system
    - Depth finder
    - More options for people like fish jetski and tow jetskis, etc.
    - Dual Display (Bigger than Yamahas)

    • @watercraftjournal
      @watercraftjournal  Před 3 lety +4

      Mind you, Yamahas can tow and fish too, they just don't dedicate a whole unit to one job. You can accessorize any FX or VX to be a "fishing ski."

      Seadoos have a carbon seal that fails. Then they sink! Closed loop cooling is not necessarily better either. There are pros and cons with every brand, however to say they are better than Yamaha/Kawasaki? Seadoo are not as reliable and don't handle as well, but the ergolock seating is awesome. The design of Seadoo is nice too. I think the best would be a Kawasaki Ultra hull, Seadoo top deck with ergolock, and Yamaha engine/pump. 😁🙂

      Oh OK, I get what's wrong here. You mean "Yamaha COPIES from Sea-Doo," right? "Fake" does not mean "copy" or "steal." But I get what you're saying 100%.
      Here's the crazy truth: Yamaha really didn't want to spend the money on a fixed sound system, but the screeching demand from customers forced their hand. Sea-Doo also didn't want to put speakers on the RXP-X either.
      Both manufacturers feel that their "muscle craft" should be stripped down race-ready machines, not fluffed-up Cadillacs, but dammit, people scream and yell for these features, so the manufacturers give in.
      All of these full color dashboards, Bluetooth apps and all that other crap is more stuff that can go bad - both companies 100% agree on this. But the public keeps crying for it and BRP/Yamaha are in the business of selling PWC people want. So here we are.
