  • Most people will see the "325 horsepower" call outs and the bright red bodylines and think, "Yup. This is the ski for me." ...and they would be woefully wrong.
The RXP-X 325 is a new kind of beast that is itching to be released from its GPS-confirmed speed limiter. Even with the RPM limiter in place, this ski sees near-80mph speeds - not what you'd call a "casual cruiser."
The RXP-X 325 is more than 90% of PWC buyers can handle. You're weak, soft and dull - everything this ski isn't. Take some time to "work on you" before boarding the 2024 RXP-X 325. You've been warned.

I haven't heard Kevin this excited about a ski since the Ultra 310X in 2022, and the fact that the hype level is nearly the same shows what a monster this thing is. But there's one thing I need clarified. Did I hear that the ENTIRE updated valvetrain (among other things) is making it into ALL the 1630's for '24? Because if they are, then Sea-Doo has just stepped up their game across a lot of models.

Kevin, I know overall you prefer Yamaha and Kawi but you have to admit, unlike the big 3 automakers who realistically are head to head on the tech front and always challenge each other with renovations BRP REALLY is out front with daring new features and innovations. Yamaha and kawi build great products but ALWAYS seem to play it safe with when they build their products. Look at the Switch, the 325 motor, the hull and deck designs and even the new Can Am suspension and outside of Polaris’ 2.0 a couple years ago, nobody pushes the envelope like BRP. THEY RAISE THE TIDE and all will benefit

Well, in 1996 Baywatch started using the 96 XP, and in 97 they used the newly designed 97XP along with the 96 XP. The yellow colors were perfect for using them as rescue skis. They also used a 97 GTX on some episodes, but not for rescuing people. More for like training purposes. Before 96 they were using strictly Yamaha Wave Runners.

If BRP was so interested in catering to the performance crowd and tuners, why have they not provided a pathway to unlock the ECU? As it sits right now, its just another 69 mph ski that is 7 mph slower than a 300 with a simple SCOM. Most buyers have no interest in using a stand alone ECU. Until there is a SCOM or tunes available, there is no way that I will replace my 21 PX with this unit.

The 300 was pretty much bulletproof up to stage 3, had some valve train problems when pushed past 8,750 rpm, but that's what this redesign was meant to address. I see no reason that this shouldn't be every bit as bulletproof.
The only question mark is on the compressor with its planetary gear set, but Kawasaki uses a similar design on the Ninja H2 and H2R and haven't had any issues.
