I remember the original sundial was very old and had been in place a long long time on this same location
I first saw it myself around 1980 to my best memory
I heard it was stolen but I don't know if this has been confirmed ?
the original was made of, even then, very old looking metal
around the edge was written
let others tell of storms and showers I will only count your sunshine hours (that's from memory not an exact quote btw)
and this one looks great also, much respect to all involved in replacing the missing one
