+L0ST S0UL If he was poor there would be no Alfred to take care of him so possibly he'd go to an orphanage and be more like Rorschach. On the other side a poor Wayne family wouldn't go to a classy theather and they'd be less tempting for the thief.

Edgar Delgado nah he’s actually spot on. This film just didn’t fundamentally get or convey the what the comic was all about. It’s actually an insult to the comic. It’s everything the comic satirized (including objectivism which Snyder happens to follow). It made Rorschach the hero of the story and everything. It’s just a bad adaptation.

He doesn't care about the means, only the end result. Plot wise though, Rorschach has to be captured in order for the story to move on and to make an opportunity to bring up Rorschach's background.

What I love about this charactar, is that as far as I know, he is the most realistic super hero. A failed escape like this has more merit and is more intense than "Superman" destroying a moon that's about to crash with a planet.
We don't need more over the top super heroes, we need characters like this, who posess the same fisical abilities of a gimnast and a sharp mind.

Misconception there. Its not that Superman is over the top, its that people try to copy what he is without knowing what he stands for. Supermans dilemma is what he should do rather than what hes able to while Rorschach is the polar opposite. Its the reason why we have so many failed Batman copies too people do the cool brooding, secret identity stuff without realizing hes more than that.

This is one of the few scenes in the movie that, in my opinion, is actually better than the graphic novel. I always loved how Snyder took the time to show how dangerous, intelligent, and unpredictable Rorschach can be. He wasn't just some psycho with a cool mask; this was someone who could solve crimes that would leave the police scratching their heads, fight several different opponents at the same time, and not just survive but thrive in prison. Rorschach had the balls to stand before a god and refuse to compromise, even in the face of Armageddon.

I was in a bar in a dance club. I saw a sexy hot blonde haired lady dancing and she comes out to see that green haired freak. Then some guy was bugging me. I took a drink, then I spit on him. He challenged me to a drinking contest. He drank 30 cups of whisky. I on the other hand, took the whole bottle of whiskey and I drank it whole. I stared at him for 30 seconds and then he passed out. I won the drinking contest. I walked outside from the bar. I saw these two clowns leave in their car. Suddenly, I feel sick. I went to my apartment and I puked everywhere. I was drunk for 9 hours. Until I woke up. I finally got sober. I'll find that lady who was in prison. Hope she's not crazy like my ex-girlfriend.

Rorschach is everything I want in a good tabletop RPG character. He follows a set of self imposed guidelines. He has personality quirks and flaws. He is incredibly quick thinking and creative. He connects clues and solves problems. He fights till the bitter end.
He makes me really want to make a 5e Fighter character whose whole thing is that he possesses proficiency in tons of different things. High focus on intelligence and perception not just brute strength. His signature weapon would be a crowbar as an homage to the creative problem solving of the half life series 😊

The film was actually better than the graphic novel, but not as deep. The graphic novel was challenging or overturning practically every comic hero convention and cliché while at the same time telling a fairly complex story (not to mention the whole pirate/Black Freighter comic within a comic). The movie is more straightforward. It's just like the stupid LotR debates - the films are similar to the books but not meant to be identical.

He also took out 5 cops + 5 armored black ops cops. I believe Rorshach would get very close to beating batman and then stop because of his soft spot for costumed vigilantes. Just like in Under the Redhood how Jason Todd almost be batman but got off guard. Rorshach's ruthlessness wouldn't allow him to get off guard but if he doesn't beat batman, he definitely wouldn't be beaten.
