“Never compromise. Not even in the face of Armageddon.”
I am angry at myself because I should've made a video about this amazing Snyder movie sooner. It is perfect in every aspect, the writing, acting, directing, cinematography (although Snyder is obsessed with moments, I must admit his style is something very fresh and chilling)
I hope you enjoy this video. Thank you so much for your support!
Especially, you patrons, you keep me on mine feet. Thank you so much.

Devise reason later. Born from oblivion; bear children, hell-bound as ourselves, go into oblivion. There is nothing else.

Do you see the world as fundamentally being one where people with different ideas are clashing, and problems are caused by people having the wrong ideas? If so, then you probably also worry about a future civil war if you're in the US.
Do you see the world as fundamentally being dominated by people who literally don't have their own opinions, are unable to have an opinion if all of their friends would leave them for it, and even if they did have such an opinion they could hold are completely unwilling to sacrifice their happiness let alone their life for that opinion? If so, then you feel that solutions don't start with people having the right opinions (which is what most liberals seem to believe), they start with having the moral character to believe and fight for anything at all. I like Rorschach because he is that very critical first step, and is a pretty stunning reminder that despite the severity of his flaws in his character he did more good for the Earth than any of the other superheroes who were too cynical to do much like The Comedian and especially more than the Owl who is the most accurate representation I've seen of what it means to be a liberal superhero.

People would argue that good and evil are subjective concepts, not because they are but because of the compromises society makes us do. I do think it does have problems with it‘s portrayal of Ozymandias (he really is nothing compared to comic Ozy) & well, you do have to watch the 3.5 hour Ultimate Cut (the theatrical one is really missing stuff).
I agree that Snyder‘s sense of visual idiosyncrasy is impeccable. Though it should be noted that Watchmen as a whole, a comic book that features sub chapters, a comic inside a comic & is both grounded in realism and in its mythology of depicting a street vigilante and basically god, maybe is „unfilmable“

Out of curiosity, how could it have been better? I'm of the probably unpopular opinion that Snyder actually improved on the near perfect source material, I.e having Rorschach put up more of a fight after jumping out of the window than in the comic, and Dan being witness to Rorshach's death was also an excellent change from the comic imo. My only real criticism is that maybe the sex scene in Archie was a bit long, but it was still funny as was probably intended.

One of my favorite heroes of all time.
A super broken human with an uncompromising sense of good and evil.
I thought they did a pretty good job with his character in the movie but like most times there is a bit more depth in the graphic novel. The little girl scene in the book really shows a marked change into his lawful neutral mindset and his dedication to justice.

Man. I applaud you for using one of Richter’s amazing pieces in that second half. Hostiles was a great movie and so was Watchmen. I’m glad you recognize spectaculars pieces of scores in these movies and orchestrate them in great montage compilations like this.

This film is severely underrated, both as an adaptation of the book and a movie in general. I'm a big fan of both the book _and_ the film, and for the life of me I can't see how anyone could hate it, but it's gotten so much flak over the years. Hopefully the upcoming series will be good enough to generate new interest in the movie, and maybe then it'll get the credit it deserves.

Epic as aways. I love the simplicity of your editing. Not like these flashy transitions and text edits you see everywhere. Always just pure emotion and quality! I also dont like flashy editing. I’m more into finding those perfect scenes and dialogue to time things with the music. Its amazing and I love your work!
