I absolutely love it when an artist gets completely pissed off my something but can't directly show it, so a masterpiece like this comes out
Tool -Ticks & Leeches
The label told them that their album didn't sound heavy enough so they made this song and stuck it at the end
agreed, when the big people be stupid, the smaller people make fun of them
Some of the best art comes from spite!
@@EtojusThey would be nothing, but they aren’t nothing. They have power and there’s no feasible way to remove it from them. So they’re the big people. Or perhaps more aptly, the giant rats that make all of the rules, since it’s unfair to call them people.

This is technically the newest episode of Llamas With Hats. Waiting for 8 years wasn’t in vain!

@@ableemubut for which brand?
"I do not delight people, that is my least favorite thing to do"
Now he's telling the truth
I love water bottles as a metaphor for "advertiser friendly", not only in the connotation of completely plain and unobjectionable, but also because water bottles specifically are associated with some of corporations most heinous and unconscionable acts of incredible cruelty. The corporate death squads that kill people trying to protect their water rights. The pollution being dumped into waterways all over the world because of a lack of regulation or oversight. The literal unimaginable amount of plastic being dumped into our oceans on a daily basis, and microplastics in the bloodstream of every single living creature on the planet.
The water is a metaphor for your life. They own it.
Also, CZcams here is wearing a hat, trying to insert itself into the show the way that they commonly will comment on big videos and join in on the joke (to which the Ban Sssniperwolf comments show that people are tired of it)
Don't forget the fact that it's commercializing a necessity, and mathematically the single most overpriced item in existence.
Don’t forget companies like Nestle, whose CEO once said that water isn’t a basic human right
@@Foxy02016And then it ends up losing said hat at the very end. No more individuality, all brand.
This is the most unhinged response I've seen to being demonetized. And I love it
This world is unhinged and might benefit from a global thermonuclear war, clearing out the weak genes we've allowed to fester uncontested by the laws of nature.
But yeah, I guess responding negatively to this neo-liberal neo-feudalist WEF dictatorship is "unhinged".
Your comment has been demonetized for use of the word “unhinged” which our algorithm has determined is a form of bullying, which will anger the advatizas.
It’s on brand for filmcow
There was the time Mister Metokur made MS Paint videos telling "Susan Wojcicki to pay what she fucking owes." It was $30,000 held in a Google owned bank account.

*Bottled water*
*Bottled water*
It is definitely [BOTTLED WATER],and it [DELIGHTS]
I love how instead of editing the things that demonetized it, he basically made an entirely new series
Because the things CZcams would want to change would completely change and ruin the point of the original story. And because that original story was a similar commentary on art and commentary at the time this acts as a perfect part 2.
Reanimating the [BOTTLED WATER] kicking in Carl’s stomach is incredible attention to detail
Y'know, seeing as Llamas With Hats is a series about how an overused joke can get run into the ground, exhuming it years later for a do-over feels appropriately thematic.
It is certainly... *meaningful look* on-brand
THAT'S what the fucking series is about? 😭
@@salemcrow5078Among other things.
@@salemcrow5078 maybe. There's a rumor that the series becomes more and more horrible over the episodes because the creator felt pressured to create more episodes which in a round about way means making Carl the llama do worse and worse things.
@@bluesides8323 that was debunked forever ago. The actual reason the series took a dark turn was because everyone predicted Episode 5's premise, so he went for the surreal horror approach to spice things up.
“Why did you delight this person, Carl?”
“I do not delight people. That is- that is my least favorite thing to do.”
Well at least Carl told the truth in this one.
Shouldn't be teaching children to lie!
Ok I don't know if this is intentional, but the Void beginning to encroach exactly at the 10 minute mark is REALLY good
oh i didn't even notice that. holy shit, that's beautiful actually
CZcams also stops showing the full edited episodes at episode 5 as well, the start of the rest of the series after episode 4
@@genderender I love that little detail. First two are edited full episodes, third one is heavily edited, fourth one is chopped to end before the "birthday candle", fifth one is a few seconds before it cuts away, sixth one is briefly shown, seventh is barely referenced, eight and nine are combined, and ten, eleven, and twelve are the settings without Carl or Paul (except a brief cameo). Best part is the ending, starts out as a "nice" version replacing the dark red sky and ocean with a peaceful night sky and blue ocean, then you see what happened to CZcams and it's much darker.
I used to think forgiveness sounded like screaming and then silence, but now I know it sounds like bottled water and boat safety.
I love the fact that CZcams itself is starting to take on a personality in this meta-narrative among different creators where it's the villain siding with brands over the people who, you know, attract viewers to the platform in the first place.

Can we talk about how perfect it is that in a video having to be edited to be "more acceptable to children," the direct call out of the rollbacks of child labor laws in recent events. So good.
i've seen some people agreeing with that, and they bring up how their great-great-great-grandparents worked in factories at like 7, just don't bring up the fact they only made it to 40 something if that.
It's important to advertisers to be able to connect with children and influence their purchasing decisions. After all, children earn paychecks too.
And children need to know where to spend those checks!

When monetezation is driving art it's not longer pop culture or culture. It's a culture industry. It's why after the 10 minute mark this video started to go all over the place even more, because for most creators their only goal is to hit that 10 minute mark and everything after it is just extra time. Hauntingly brilliant as an addition to this series.
I'm impressed by how long Film Cow stuck to the premise before getting bored and driving the train off the rails
Being off the rails is part of the premise. When CZcams forces creators to trade in their vision for money it drives away the viewers, the very reason advertisers are on CZcams at all. Advertisers both enable CZcams to function and are actively destroying it. There is no on the rails in this scenario, only mindless consumption until it all comes apart at the seems.

I was thinking "why water bottles?" The entire video but I have a couple theories
1. Water bottles are the most plain thing there is and therefore most marketable. The easiest thing to digest is the most profitable for advertisers
2. Bottled water is a sign of gross consumerism in that this natural resource which we all need to survive is being sold to us. It is an expectation to buy it, not an exception. Then these bottles lay in waste in landfills just another sign of gradual decay. Whether it be advertisements, products, etc. These big businesses and firms, are not looking out for our wellbeing.
3. Just because
I love how in the boat one a horn goes off every time Paul says “carl”
I can't believe that the sound of forgiveness is actually "Drink more bottled water." Pretty safe tbh

FilmCow responds with even darker and more disturbing content which fully complies with monetization policies...while attacking the advertisers influencing/distorting art for their own purposes...This is the pure genius that I have come to expect from FilmCow, and was a delightful treat to come back to find after so many years. Was having one of those "Boy, I could sure use some llamas with hats right about now...or Merlin telling me how the world can be garbage" days.

I let this video sit for a long time thinking it was going to make me angry. I’m such a fan of the series, I got Paul tatted on my elbow as of a few years ago and I get asked about him all the time and get to point people to the series when they ask. They all find it both hilarious and disturbing but not one person has failed to tell me that they love the series by the end. “It’s f’d up but I love it.” Is usually what I get 😂😂. I quote my favorite lines all the time (My #1 is “My stomach was making the rumblies that only hands could satisfy”). The way things have been going with content creating platforms and so much biased censorship, I am so delighted to see this video rebelling against the dystopian insanity. Reality, often times, is far more horrifying than any fiction. Llamas with Hats has brought me joy for so many years in times when I was down, making me laugh, and challenging me to think things could always be worse. CZcams absolutely sucks now, but I’m so glad to see some creators are sticking to their convictions of creating creative content instead of cucking over to the evil CZcams overlords 🙄🤣💪🏽!

I remember watching the original Llamas with Hats when I was younger. I think I was maybe 10 or 12 at the time. It was pretty early on in my internet journey, as my parents kept me pretty far away from things they feared were too "mature" (Things like the Wampa cave scenes in Empire and Regular Show), and was therefore one of the first pieces of art I ever experienced that could be described as "dark and disturbing tm." Until then, I thought the internet was just videos about Bionicle hypothetically returning and flash games on the Cartoon Network website. It stirred something within me. For something advertised as funny llama show, it became this weird, surreal, extremely artistic work that gave me weird, confusing feelings. Most of the art I had seen up to that point could be easily described as traditional, family friendly fun times. Llamas with Hats was something different, something transgressive. And, while I still mostly experienced art that was traditional, I never forgot the distinct feeling I felt in watching this series. It made me seek out art that was transgressive. Not in the ways that this show was violent or had dark jokes, but the weird pit I felt in watching the final episodes and wasn't given a distinct, clean answer on how I should feel about it. And I did find more art like this, whether it be in some art classes or in finding it on the internet. And, in doing so, it has made me think more about my world view and who I am outside of what the world I was born into says about me.
However, as the internet has become more corporate in it's design, even moreso than when I watched it originally. And this piece, I feel, as many others have said, quickly and succinctly cuts into how that taints art. It stops it from being able to touch on those ideas that may be transgressive, a word I find myself overusing in this piece, but only because it is the only word that comes to mind. I feel that in this sensitized world, one that doesn't allow weird art like this, like many of the other pieces of art I've found myself gravitating towards, people like me might not be able to find themselves the way I have at least partially done for myself. So thank you, Llamas with Hats, for making me a better person, a person who I wish my younger self could look up to and see everything turns out ok. For teaching me that a world where weird stuff is ok, where it's fine to not be sure how to feel about a show featuring silly llamas in silly hats.

The final parody sums it up perfectly, at first it looks much nicer than the original final scene with the bridge, replacing the scary red sky with a peaceful night sky, and then it turns out much darker than the original. It's kind of funny how Carl is slowly written out increasingly with each episode as well.
