  • Deep drop commercial fishing with jigs and bait for vermillion snapper, snowy grouper, and a few other species. Always a good time getting to target the deep water bottom dwellers!

How heavy is the jig you’re dropping? Are you able to jig that kind of depth regularly, or was the current on your side that trip? I heard North Carolina currents are quite strong. Keep up the deep drop videos❤

Yeah normally it is pretty tricky to fish, we were lucky on this day. 250 gram jig

Hey Nolan, very entertaining. But if you're doing this type of fishing commercially? I would be interested in seeing how you guys sell or market your your catch. That would be interesting to see.

A lot of the time the catch gets sold the next day so I'm not around for that part, but I will try to include in the future when I have the chance to! I have some bluefin videos filmed where the cutting/selling process are filmed but I'm not planning to post those until my views get back to where they should be. Thanks for watching!

My opinion is just about all commercial fishing be done with rod and reel.

Definitely the most sustainable form of commercial fishing! Nets still have their place in many fisheries though, there's still a big demand for lower value fish, but it's only viable for a fisherman to harvest those fish in large quantities in order to profit.

@@nolanminor6761 seine nets only. Here in New Hampshire the draggers got over 100,000 of just haddock and guess what us rod and reel fisherman got no haddock so they decided to go for cusk and other type fish. Then the draggers got their limit by August and wanted more. They year before I brought home over 70 haddock in 5 trips. Only going 3 times this year just crazy to spend $$ and get chowder fish. The great garbage patch has over 50% of old fishing lines and nets from many "ghost" fleets. Enough is enough.
