2019 KTM 1290 Super Duke R Gen 2 First Ride

Hi Guys and Girls.
If you are looking for something bonkers and balls to the wall with a dash of refinement and a plethora of electronics, then this is your ride!!
The Gen 1 had me very aware of what my throttle hand was doing, the electronics package on the Gen 2 gave me a lot more confidence to explore the bike!!
Everything worked like a charm, whilst still giving you a mechanical feeling connection to the bike.
Super keen to get my hands on a Gen 3 and then to compare them all.

Great video! Just bought 1290 couple weeks ago. Now just waiting to snow melt. I'm kinda scared tho, never drove anything bigger than 450cc.

Congrats !!! Just stick her in rain mode for a couple of rides until you’ve got the just of it. The electronics on the modern bikes make it super easy to ride if you take it easy. Definitely a big jump though 😂 let me know how it goes.
