INGREDIENTS
5 cups fresh fruit
1/2-1 Tbsp honey (optional)
DIRECTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 225.
2. Blend fruit and honey in blender until very smooth.
3. Pour mixture onto parchment lined baking sheets (I usually use 2) and spread until thin. You want it to be very even so it will cook evenly. Otherwise, you will have some dry parts and other burned parts!
4. Remove from oven when the rollups are not stick (about 2-3 hours). Let cool then slice and roll!

For everyone struggling with the fruit burning:
The purpose of putting the sheet in the over is not to cook the fruit- but to Dehydrate the fruit. Dehydration can happen in many ways, but since an organic wet fruit like this would rot if left exposed for too long it's heated to dehydrate faster.
This all being said - you don't have to have the oven temp up so high which is what is causing your fruit to burn. Bring the temp down to 170 or even 145 which is hot enough to speed up the dehydration process but cooled down enough to prevent your fruit from burning (each over is going to be a little different, so it's best to start with a lower temp and slowly rise it once you see if the fruit is drying up evenly). You will probably have to keep it in the oven longer though so I recommend making a few trays at once to be kind to the planet. With multiple batches/trays simply open the oven every 45 minutes or so for 20 seconds to let some of the moisture in the over to escape. I dehydrate whole pieces of fruit and veggies in this way as well to make little snack packs for on-the-go. I hope this helps!
That's very helpful, thanks! :)
What are u writing a chapter or a comment sorry no offense
What I wrote takes a whole minute to read or say. It's helpful information for the many comments struggling with the problem of burnt role-ups - which requires a useful explanation. Your comment is just a waste of space.
***** excuse me but the next time u say something like that again i will really do something
This should be interesting. Did your Mother not teach you any manners? Or did you choose, all on your own, to be rude and ignorant?
OMGGG YESSSS! life complete. my favorite!!! didn't realize they were so easy to make at home! Avery is so beautiful!
Awww, thanks!!! xo meg
***** 225 is farenheit - and is 110 celsius which is slow.

My kids (8 & 6) are obsessed with this!!! They both love it and it's easy to make.
Isn't she a sweetie pie! :) Loving this fruit roll up! I'll be making them soon.. Both my kids love honey too!:)
Who doesn't?! xo meg
WhatsUpMoms Vegans. But to each thier own.
I don't really like honey, I find too sweet.
E.K Im like you I only like a little bit when it's in a product
Rainbow Gardens I'll never get why people buy their kids the junk kind with all that artificial junk
Love this! My girls are going to have fun when they get back from daycare today :)
It is a super fun project, but it does require some patience! :)
I'm 12 and I made this and I evenly spread it but when I took it out it was super mushy on the middle, crispy on the edges, and perfect in between the middle and the edges. I think maybe it was because I didn't use convect bake, because convect bake makes it evenly cooked because it blows around the heat, maybe next time I will use convect, please reply if not using convect was the problem. Thank You!!
You were 12 :)
You're 20 now 😮
Avert is gorgeous, so pretty like her mommy ❤️
Agreed!

Great idea! Can you possibly be any more amazing?! I don't think I could tell my kids I'm making these until after they're finished...otherwise those 3 hours are going to be the longest 3 hours of my life....with them asking "are they finished yet," at least 12 times an hour! ;)
I hear ya!
my kids loved this!

Hi Meg! I’m not a mom but me and my mom tried this recipe and this was amazing since my mom doesn’t let me have fruit roll ups or anything that has a lot of sugar, but thank you so much for this recipe!
The way Avery said 'Yummy I love Honey was adorable'
THIS IS GENIUS. I don't have kids yet, but I work in a daycare and this would be amazing to bring for lunches or if I need a bit of a sweet pick-me-up :)
Your comment was 8 years ago. Did you end up having kids? I wish you the best.
@@MattyDemello I actually just had my first baby in September! I'll have to do this for him when he's a little older!
@@sarahlazzarotto4274 aw. That's awesome. Congrats.
Thanks so much Meg for this super easy and healthy recipe!
I was kinda bummed when it started burning after like 20 minutes, I reduced the temperature to 130 degrees and it kept burning that was at 40 minutes, I switched to 85 degrees left it for like 2 minutes and just took it out after that, I'm thinking my layer was too thin xx
Just and advise to any one who feels like trying, GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE YOU MANAGE WELL :)
Omg I just made these, and I'm making a second batch now! They are so good! You guys are the best! ❤❤
You are so smart with all your ideas for healthy treats that kids love! Your a great mom I love you!!!
Who else realised that the little slide that comes up saying how many kids they have and how old they are didn't come up.
Great idea! I'm so impressed that you make all these healthy versions of these recipes and your kids eat them (especially w/ a new born). I have an idea for a video to add to your breastfeeding series. Can you do a what I eat in a day video? I'm also nursing my youngest, she's 12 weeks and trying to lose the weight I gained (although you don't look like you have any more baby weight to lose!) I'm curious what you eat in a typical day while nursing. Thanks for all the great videos!
Great suggestion Shira! I'm working on some new breastfeeding eps now!
Simple all natural ingredients. Love it! My boys definately are growing thier sweet tooths and this recipe seems absolutely perfect. Thanks Meg!
I'm 26 and have two kids and love your videos. It helps me so much
Who is watching this during lockdown
Where do you store the rollups after cooking? Fridge or room temp container? Thank you!
Rachael Stein I store mine in a mason jar at room temp.
WhatsUpMoms Hi, how long would it last?
selena like your video mom's
+WhatsUpMoms poor little doggie
+JESSICA JASSO I think it will only last for a day because I know that we can't resist eating this yummyness...
I did not realize these were so easy to make!! Definitely giving these a try!
My heart melts when Avery smiles 😍
My daughter has been asking for fruit roll ups for so long, finally I can give her some but not feel guilty:)
It's just a fruit roll up. She's a child let her have a piece of candy for gods sake.
I think I would feel more guilty not giving her the candy
Emily why are you shaming someone for wanting to be healthy? It's not like she's saying every person who gives their kid fruit roll ups are pieces of crap.
Sheesh.
@@crystalhaataja304 u also look chubby so hit the gym and stop wasting your life looking at pixels onna screen hahahaha
I have the same blender as u!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well that was random.........XD
Which brand is the blender?

+WhatsUpMoms could I use a combination of fruit like mango, strawberry and grapes? because thats all the fruits I have at home

I love how excited Avery is!!
You know I have seen 5 videos in this channel so far and I like it cause it has that same vibe when your at the doctor’s office and the tv has those channels about healthy living and food. ❤
Love it! Definitely trying! Have you ever done with frozen fruit? I wonder if it would work the same. My market doesn't always have fresh organic, but always frozen organic.
You can definitely use frozen fruit. I would probably let it thaw first though.
WhatsUpMoms disregard my comment about a minute ago hehe ^.^
your daughter is pretty! she is so cute!
Wonderful video. I just got a nice new fancy dehydrator for my birthday and I am going to make some of these for my granddaughters. Thank you so much.
Wow this recipe looks really healthy and delicious and easy to make, I'm definitely gonna make them one day!!!
I'm nine years old and you have inspired me to make helth food for my family
Love all of the ideas on this channel! Could you make a video sharing some new DIY birthday party ideas? Fun snacks and cute DIY decor maybe? :)

This is so amazing!! so healthy and delicious.. I am in love with all your receipts
Your videos r such gems.So clean, helpful n enjoyable!! God bless u n your family abundantly😘😘😘
this has literally never worked for me hahaha
DO NOT DO THIS WITH WAX PAPER!!!! It will burn an be aweful!!! Mine burned at 200 degrees not even in the first 2 hours so DO NOT USE WAX PAPER!!!!! Lesson learned 😢 burned up like $10 worth of fruit
Your oven is different from hers.
+CharlotteMarieDee. But it's not tho!!! Besides I'm way happier with my dehydrator doing this anyways
+Brittany Billington She didn't say wax paper, she said parchment paper. They're different things.
she said 225 FAHRENHEIT NOT DEGREES OH GAWD
+Annika Ee You can also say 225 degrees fahrenheit degrees isn't special to celcius lol
Meg (& Avery) you've done it again, can't wait to make these for my girls, hoping for a WUM cook book soon! xoxo
That was so cool. I got to try that with my lil one. Thanks for sharing
is it 225 farenheit or celsius?
Fahrenheit
Well, bummer. I was going to make this but many of the comments below said the recipe burns the fruit. Also, friendly feedback, try letting your daughter contribute more. The only thing you let her do was roll up one roll, but you had to roll it with her. Makes me think you're too worried about control. Letting go of perfection and inviting your daughter to participate a LOT more in the kitchen would be a great bonding experience for you two, as well as a confidence booster for her. And don't worry about her part being perfect. And imperfection would give it a more real, and appealing aspect.
I think it's just because it was for film and Meg wanted to present them to us, it's different cooking with them with no one looking :)
Avery is one of the happiest kitchen helpers meg your a great mom
Hello WhatsUpMoms I came over from watching your collab with MyCupcakeAddiction and I'm so glad I did. This is the first video I watched and I never knew Roll Ups could be that easy! Now I can have some real fun and look at all your videos :)
