I can't believe I've been vegan ten years without getting a fruit dehydrator. Thank you so much!
You are most welcome!
This was the most complicated way to cut a mango lol
Lol
Brilliant, so lovely to see them made with nothing else, added.
Thank you!
I always enjoy your videos
Thanks for watching!
my sister recently bought me a air fryer, and I have cook books on air fryering. they may have a recipe on making dried fruit. question I have a bottle of fruit spread, can I make fruit roll ups with that.?.and .😊😊
I would try it! I think it would make fruit roll up
What exact model of dehydrater is that? I need to replace mine and I've heard about the one your using in the video. Just curious what model it is. Thanks. Great vid
The model information is in my description 🙂
Great video. I'll be making my first attempt at making these this weekend, and like that you added no sweeteners to your mix. Do you find that the mango taste becomes sweeter after dehydration or does it taste the same as not being dehydrated?
Thanks for the upload. Really appreciate it. 🙂
Thank you! I find it depends on how ripe the mangoes are at the time of dehydration that determines the sweetness.
@@thehomesteadnurse Oh ok. Thank you for that tip. I'll keep that in mind. 🙂
I'm confuse how many hours should it be in the oven?
10 hours at what temp? my says 155F and can I do other fruit like apple or strawberries?
I would say anything temp higher then that you will be cooking so your good! I would try 10 hrs and if it not completely dry you can always add time.
Thank you!👍
how long dobthey last in the fridge?
You do not have to put them in the fridge since they are dehydrated. If you dry the fruit completely with dehydration it can last 6 months to a year in your pantry.
Im in the process of making my first batch of Banana Pineapple fruit leather. When I blended the puree and poured it into the tray it was a bright yellow and now a few hours into drying it's starting to turn a little brown, is this normal?
TIA :)
Yes, It can happen especially if the pineapple is very moist going in. I would just look out for any white spots on the brown areas that indicates mold. You can squeeze lemon juice around your pineapple before you dehydrate it next time to try to prevent the brown.
How long does the dehydrated fruit keep?
Depending on where you store it can last from six months to a year.
When I dehydrated it at 65c for 9hrs . A layer of liquid sugar appeared on surface. How can I solve this problem.
Should I change the recipe and ingredients??
Looks like it is still needs more time to dry, try to dry it for 3 more hours & see.
Why not just use a peeler to peel the mango? Or cut the mango in half (short ways) around the seed, twist the two halves and the seed comes right out. Or cut the mango in half long ways around the seed, the two halves will be similar to when you cut an Avocado in half. Cut the mango into little squares inside of the peel, then turn the peel inside out and you can scoop all the little mango squares out of the peel.
Cut mangos however you like ❤️
Hardest way to peel a mango…:::
There is an easy way to cut a mango. 😂
🙃 of course
I loved your videos but please do wear gloves
Thank you!
Please don't put music, just talk to us.
Every video is different. Thanks for the feedback.
What a waste of mango peeling it that way.
Compost is always a good idea
