- A good amount of progress was finally made with the lasers. They're now finally in place and the exhaust is working. It's good to start seeing the vision come to life. I still have a ton of cleaning and automation to do, but it's a giant step in the right direction.

Thank you for this video! I watch you all the time… you are incredible at explaining all the w’s. I am a few years behind you, based in central Florida, and up until recently struggled with scaling. Watching your videos and learning from your experiences is such a gift! I’m a big believer in automation also.
Man, it's been years. We had a good conversation years ago on a late night stream when we were both working. Glad to see you're doing well!! Im out of the print industry after 25 years. And i miss making something!! Good luck and best wishes!
That's true if you're building work-shop. The 1st tone is only the beginning Keep going one day you'll see you have a structure
Your doing great bro. Keep kicking it. Your ten steps ahead of most of us. Keep your head up! keep pushing ahead.👍
Your way for automation is MUCH BETTER - if you only have 1 pc with all of those pieces, when that system goes down, all those auxiliaries go down - but if you have a brain box for each if one goes down the others don't. Thas actually brilliant and worth the investment. Definitely a banner and even large format hanging inspirational quotes to make it a place of encouragement, makes the work atmosphere conducive for productivity. I've designed a printshop or two in my day, there is a lot of potential i know you ALREADY know! Real as always!
We do the same. I have 3 computers set up, and all 3 can run multiple things. There's even a 4th down and aside to just swap out, loaded with all programs, and drivers to pop in if something goes down. So it's not a computer per piece of equipment, but all 3 computers can run all pieces of equipment.
you have great informative videos, thank you
Daron, agree your equipment has been vetted and looking long term to sell makes total sense. Trying out my first refurb PC later today to replace aged laptop, if it works out might pickup another for aging PC. Each CNC and laser has it's own computer for simplicity and redundancy. How about Laser graphic for "Laser Row".
Just come across you channel, and been binging on your content. Thanks for sharing
Hope it's helpful.
Incredibly helpful!
Lightburn's run-a-pen-rotate is currently in beta. Coming really soon!!!
I honestly think having multiple pcs is a great idea. Sure, you could have 1 computer run everything, but how do you prevent issues from happening? Sending it to the wrong laser or other human errors. Or what if that pc goes off line, then the whole place shuts down.
If you only have one computer running everything and it crashes you are down for couple of days before a I.T person can get there and fix it. Multi machines you just do it in another machine until fixed
That place is starting to shape up. I don’t think having multiple PC’s is a mistake, especially if it helps keep things systemized. I must confess I don’t know a whole lot about lasers, so forgive any potential ignorance here, but would the software you need to run those work from a tablet instead? Might be some good mounting solutions with that pallet racking to take up less of your working surface if so.
I think you should raise the shelves above the lasers higher. Being closed in would make the workers want to work somewhere else in the shop. Mabe make them work crappier there.
I let them pick the height.
Oh wow. I didn’t know you were selling. Is there another video where you spoke about this?
I guess you didn't watch the video?
Where are you getting $120 laptops? I agree also the shelves over the lasers need to be raised for just ergonomic purposes.
Local refurbished shop and eBay.
Could you talk about the change that happens when you go from enjoying the technical / art aspect of using these machines and then it turns into a business. I think many people (especially the FB laser groups) see using a laser as an artistic outlet but then it turns into a business and it's not as much art anymore. Just a suggestion, and maybe you've done that in a video before I found your videos. I must confess, I haven't completely binged all of your past videos. :(
where is the link for the laptops
I get them from a local shop and eBay.

United Kingdom Of Great Britain London 🇬🇧 is the best city in the world, best quality made Laser.
You need to mature and learn a lot friend, it's not just buying machines as you see
Best way to learn is to do, even if I fall on my face sometimes.
Sounds like you have lost your "JOY." When you started your business you enjoyed it.. It was small, manageable and fulfilled your desire to work for yourself. Maybe it would be more beneficial to scale back the business. You don't have to do everything and take on every customer. Money isn't everything. But keeping your "Joy" is!
Cool stuff. I’ve got some questions. Can I call you somehow?
