Chinese application table - game changer and better than a flatbed printer

With selling the Canon Arizona, I needed a better way to offer foam cut outs. One of my larger customers likes to use them for events that they do multiple times a year. I didn't want to pay $16,000 so I imported one. The cost for the table was $6,000. We've only had it set up for a few weeks and it's been totally worth it.

Yes the quality is much better. I was never a big fan of flat better printer

Glad it's working well for you... I just use my full size laminator (against my 8' table) to run boards through like that as needed.

@@BoredThatsWhy Made our table back in 2008. It's actually 2 2.5'x8' rolling tables, bolted together with a common top -- making it 5'x8'

I did consider that, and I did laminate a few boards that way before this arrived. I prefer the table, but understand the appeal.

Save the trimming time, mount to you board using your crop marks. Then use the edge of you material as the straight edge to cut down.
Have you done a cost study on the inks of your old flatbed vs ink on your roll printer and self adhesive vinyl?

I didn't buy a big enough table for my 54" media width to fit on the table. It would definitely be a little faster that way, but it would get in my way.
For how much work I do, the cost of vinyl is cheaper than a printer payment. Overall it's technically more expensive, but we can also produce them faster than if I were to have directly printed them.
Definitely pros and cons to both.
