I always cut a triangle out of the corners, it makes it much easier to get the grommets in when you are not punching through 4 layers of media
Thanks for the tip.
That's a $55k summa cutter! To cut a banner! WOW! I wanna be a non-peasant . Question on packaging the banner. Can you fold it over to ship it?
Banners are easy and have a great profit margin on them. The most time consuming thing is the hemming. I do the same, where I typically charge a little extra fee for the hemming, but grommets are always included in the basic price. Great video.
I try my best to only straight cut banners I make in house. If they want hemming I try to talk them out of it or outsource it.
What is your go-to for outdoor banners (printing on a HP365)?
Powertape only under grommets, no folding, and always make banner width same as media with 1 inch white margin. and 1 part grommets. Trim only on short edge. No complaints
If you dont hem where do you bring it
Omg. It’s DARON!!!!!!!
I know. It's a miracle.
Well maybe I won't make money making signs but I will make money making videos tutorial like this man
Videos definitely don't pay the bills
I so bad want to get a banner printer again, I use to have a Roland Soljet Pro but this Hp Looks nice.
Not sure if you know this or not but in Flexi 22 you can automatically add your folding bleed and your grommet marks.
Where are those settings?!?!
What brand/specs for banner are you using? I noticed at 230F there's no warping.
You’re alive!

@@ttms What happened to you? You're ok now?
I got really sick. I get a little better each day. I'm at least back to work.
Thank you for the great video! I am going to purchase a banner printer next year. I'm not sure you said it in the video but how long does your printer take to print 1 avarage size banner? Like 2 x 3 meters?
Hi, maybe you've tried making larger banners than your printer wide? Example 2.3 x 2.3 meters, wonder the process of tiling/joining these..
Have you had issues with Color Profiles? Whenever we make custom profiles on the HP 315 it will work for a couple prints but then our banners colors will be completely off. Thanks!
I haven't had issues, but I only have one repeat job. I don't offer any other color matching.
Thanks for sharing your journey. Where can I buy your quoting spreadsheet?

Have you thought about using the crease wheel on the Summa to create a crease instead of folding it by hand?
I have not. I'll have to try that. I have some banners to print tomorrow.
Which is the cutter brand machine. And how much does it cost
Great explanation. I believe that's the Latex 315? Can you build two sided banners?
It is the 315. You can do it, but there is no automatic registration so you'd have to manually figure out how to do the front to back registration.
Nice! Does the software assist with the image not being pixelated or how is that possible? TIA.
Most of the files I print are vector, but the bigger you make an image usually the farther away you are when you look at it. The pixels can sometimes look massive for bigger printers but it still looks good when you are at the right viewing distance.
@@ttms awesome! Thanks for the response.

@@ttms Thank you, ill try to get it in Spain
Any update link for pricing calculator? Great video
You can find them here printfam.timetomakesomething.com/shop
Wow mad price here in the UK you would be lucky to sell a 8ft x 4ft with a 50mm hemm and eyelets for £34.84
Could you make banners with other printers that are not latex?
Yes. I don't have a latex any more. I now make them with my UV printer.
There's a $400 banner welder on eBay that I'm considering getting.
I've thought about it too. I have too many toys right now.
Hi from Australia... mate. Do you have any issues with the weight of that banner material? I think the 315 can only hold up to 25kg whereas the 335 holds 55kg.
No. My rolls are typically 54in x 164ft
Sack the banner tape off and get yourself reinforcing edging tape no need to hem! :) and makes life a lot quicker
Where can you get that from?
100length×70width at how much price
How many Pass?, Ink xxx?, Heat? Thank you for Good VDO For User HP latex
I typically run the generic PVC banner profile.
Do you still offer the calculator?
Yes, you can find it here - printfam.timetomakesomething.com/shop
I would charge $96 for that banner including taping and grommeting here in the state of misery. :)
Same!
Isn’t that what signs365 charges wholesale? You are both selling your banners too cheap. Unless your retail market is a wholesale market, which seems odd
@@gunnerz7571 That seems to be what our market will bear. Signs is less than that.
@@gunnerz7571 Signs charges $1.25/sqft. We did increase our pricing to $4/.sqft for hemmed and grommeted and $3/square for no hemming and grommeting.
"Super odorless"?
dude please put a doorknob on that door
I do banners every days. I have all machines big uv printers and latex also. That banners need to be really expensive as he show on his video. 😀 sorry but at this video is take too much time to production one banner.
First. Wooo
You are first.
Bro we need to talk ASAP!! LOL

@@ttms Aww Damn just saw im on my other account. This is Joe from Heart and Hustle Printing. Video didn't really help but ill figure it out thanks.
Just kidding. I think my phone is delayed
Thats how to NOT hem a banner
The way I show in the video IS an industry accepted way to hem a banner. Just because it's not the way you do it doesn't mean it's not.
