It’s fair to note that all those earlier rock and roll bands were using Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Little Richard, etc songs as songwriting templates. It’s just that The Beach Boys management/label made the mistake of failing to include him on the credits, even though they did credit Chuck Berry’s publisher on the labeling showing that must have been the intention.
