- I searched around for an electrical contractor to do a major electrical upgrade on my house. I had a federal pacific electric Stab-Lok panel replaced and new panel relocated behind my garage and a sub panel installed in my house. Isaac colon's crew Juan, David and Chuey from the Electric brothers company installed my major upgrade and did an excellent job from start to finish.
I was so impressed I invited Isaac to be a guest on the podcast.
In this video electrical outlets explained by electrician Isaac Colon the owner of Electric Brothers co. Isaac shares his knowledge about electrical outlets and explains the latest outlet requirements.

Thanks guys. I had an addition demolished and rebuilt. The contracted electrician told me I needed to upgrade my breaker panel to 200 amps, which they installed,. Over the past year I started having outages in the new room only. I hear a click and everything shuts off I go outside and reset the appropriate switch. Annoying. As it's been over a year, I called an different electrician who did an evaluation. He told me I did not have enough breaker switches to handle the load of my 1600 sq ft house. When he pulled some of the outlets, he said some of the outlet wires were wrapped in the wrong direction. They also installed 25 or so LED recessed lights and they tore up my house., They left holes in the walls, and told me that patching and painting was not included. Very sorry I chose that company. -I was quoted $2900 worth of electrical revisions by the second electrician.
Oh wow, another bad contractor story! Sorry you had to deal with a hack of a contractor, Sounds like they sold you on a 200 amp upgrade and then did not install enough circuits to handle all the loads correctly. I hope you are pursuing them to mitigate your extra expense to correct there mistakes.
@lhomeinspectionauthority Yes I am. Immediately after they completed the construction, I found framing and dry wall flaws (windows not even height, crooked corners, etc.) and I had them reimburse me a few thou because I had already paid them per the payment schedule. Fortunately there is a CA licensing board that I can complain to, if needed.
Electric Brothers is the best. They always do what they say and the quality of work is solid. They explain their work too. This was a great episode. Lots of knowledge here.
I'm about to change some outlets, good to see a new video on this topic, thanks
Mr Rothstein don't forget to turn off the circuit breakers before you remove any outlets and double check they are off with a stupid stick! Be safe my friend!
Cool video, mom and step dad put the charging outlets in their kitchen and bedrooms in their remodel.
Absolutely LOVE the beard. Super cute, as always. ❤️
