- Looking around online, it seems like a lot of the extra story scenes in Radiant Dawn are only available to view in poor quality and/or scattered across different videos. I decided to speed through a second playthrough and document these extras into one video!

soren being the actual heir to daein just hit me like a truck
It's funny, really. Both choices of who to run Daein are Branded.
You're telling me that:
The Queen of Daein is from Begnion and is actually supposed to be Begnion's Apostle
The Empress of Begnion is not a true Apostle
The True Heir of Daein is fucking Soren
Ike is born in Gallia, raised in Crimea but both his parents come from Daein
Soren being Branded and heir to Daein is crazy. Ike’s father was from Daein so Ike could’ve been a general of Soren’s in a different timeline
i doubt that. the only reason ashnard came to power was the blood pact. I think Soren would have a difficult time claiming the thrown from ashnard. If it were peaceful times at most he would have been part of the royal Daien family.

As of Three Houses, this statement may be called into question.
They were the best because there was a lat less trash to put up with, like having to kill off units to access extra stages or obtaining hero crests by trying to get the AI controlled Pegasus knights and archers to not kill each other. The Tellius games were a lot more fair when it came to going the extra mile.

It's also probably not an unknown land considering his descendent lives in the same continent as where the first game in the series took place
@@quinnpm5256 Yeah since Ragnell and Falchion are both in Awakening, it could either be coincidence or that Ike and Marth live in the same universe. Which could also include the other games in the series. The only problem with that is the Xenologues

The fact that Ashera refuses to attack Lehran is in-freaking-credible! She still has a soft spot for him. God I love my favorite game so much
While I hate the fact that it locks you out of having a dark magic user (except for Lehran but let's be honest, you only get him for one battle) and locks you out of the big reveal of Almedha's true son later, I feel that Pelleas' death shouldn't be something that you should be able to avoid. A significant part of Micaiah's character is the horrible stuff she agrees to at Pelleas' command purely in the name of patriotism. Killing him because he commanded it and it seemed like it might get them out of the blood pact at the time, only for it to ultimately fix nothing and only bring people more grief, falls right in line with her character and was a great demonstration of how her blind loyalty and patriotism does not absolve her of guilt. She's an outwardly sweet and overall good character, but is straight-up guilty of war atrocities purely because she was following orders. She spent quite a long time just doing what Pelleas said because she could tell that, in his mind, what he was doing was for the good of the country, and willingly led their army against the Laguz- who were absolutely in the right- for a significant period of time before she finally outwardly questioned his motives. There are a lot of dead people who didn't deserve it because of her, and killing Pelleas only to realize that it did nothing good for anyone and only brought heartache was an excellent way of showing how her blind obedience reached such a drastic peak that even she could no longer condone it.
On the very next map she fights the Greil Mercenaries again, but that entire battle felt like a desperate struggle to survive against an army that was all-around better than you. It gives a sense of "justice is coming and you can't stop it," and if Pelleas is dead it feels like the entire motivation for fighting is this realization that she's already in too deep and there's really no way out at this point, so she's attempting a last stand to hold out in hope of some miracle.
If Pelleas survives, a lot of that weight is just kind of gone.
This is 100% true... But screw you I like Pelleas. He be livin' every playthrough.
While that is true, I feel like the decision to kill Pelleas becomes kinda dumb, when Almedha rushes into the room shortly after that and explains that the curse doesn't work that way, making the decision to kill him not only pointless, but also rather dumb as no one bothered to ask Almedha about this.
@@altermann1991 What's even dumber about killing Pelleas is that "the pact maker" doesn't necessarily mean the one who signed the document, something that nobody seems to realize until it's way too late.

Thank you for this! I finally beat RD for the first time this past weekend, but I doubt I'll be playing it through with all these specific requirements anytime soon. Seeing all these scenes is so great, I hope future games, maybe Three Houses, really expands on character development and world building the way Tellius did.

If you do another playthrough, it may be worth at least having Pelleas survive since that changes a lot of scenes not matter what you do--much more than I could show in this video!

See, this is why I love you. Because you do both, and you do them well.
The best part about this game is they make you work so hard for everything to finally come full circle and make the most sense. Truly rewarding when you finally see all your efforts pay off. They don't make them like this anymore, folks. RD was the best and the last of its kind.
At the same time, stuff like this can be incredibly cryptic. As someone who adores these two games, I feel that it's a flaw that you have to go way out of your way to see a lot of this stuff, and some of it being very important to the plot.
I’ve played through this game countless times and never got any of these endings. But I’m starting to realize that’s how Fire Emblem games are. I just have to google secret endings for every game I play.
i never knew that about soren until this video that is way too specific all these years i never knew...
I'm so glad they don't do things like that anymore because I don't think key plot elements should be relegated to obscure hidden secrets.
Had no issue getting any of these secrets seeing as I played this game start to finish at least 10 times 3 per difficulty way back. Even had all mage files, all laguz, all archers, all male, all female, etc. It was a great game! The best part was transferring all my OP units from por.
They gotta do more like this and less like recent games. Tired of paid dlc that should be in the game already

The amount of hidden content with no indication of how to get it on the 2nd playthrough is insane, and to make things worse some of that information is quite important to the overall plot. I'm glad that the following games don't do that anymore... at least I think they don't.

hey thanks a lot man, just finished Radiant dawn two weeks ago and I was quite upset there was so many interesting events you can't see the first time, and there wasn't a comprehensive compilation of all of this before. It's good to finally have a compilation of those.
So THAT'S why I never got the conversation between Soren and Almedha! I did everything except have Soren fight Micaiah on Part 3 Chapter 7. I didn't know that was necessary.
Bust out the siege tomes! (because that's the only way you're going to get Soren close enough to attack Micaiah without also getting killed by the Black Knight)

Theaggyyu There are also several memory scenes for Sephiran specifically throughout Part 4-E that are exclusive to a second playthrough. I understand you not recording those since it can be difficult to separate them from the normal ones, but they along with that 4-E(4) convo you mentioned shed a lot more light on the plot.

0:50 In the Japanese version (on harder difficulties), BK explains he had recently used warp powder at that point, which weakens the user for a brief time. It also explains why he was unable to flat out kill Ena at the time, not out of a mistake, but because his strength was too sapped to just do it cleanly like he promised. And yet, for us, it's "I let you win." Pffft.
Actually he explained that the warp powder warped his soul and armor there without his physical body so Ike didn't fight the real him.

Î think the game should've just gone with "Ike escapes" as the canon outcome of the PoR-fight. Feels better of the game to use that as a way of saying: "woah you we didn't actually expect you to beat him in that game, if you did", rather than: "yeah you really were supposed to win, but It isn't actually that impressive". I don't think Nasir does anything special in this game anyway, so it wouldn't even hurt to leave him dead either.

@@DarthMohawk1 Serenes Forrest seems to have a bunch of faulty info for FE10, i remember something about hidden item locations being different from where they are in actuality like the brave bow in 3-6, might be fixed by now.

I thought Ashnard already became King of Daein before the forest burnt down. And Lehran said he turned his attention tot he Prince of Daein to awaken Ashera. But he decided to awaken Ashera after the forest was burnt...
Honestly when I searched for this info I didn't expect that the famous Xenoblade YTP creator would be the one with the answers. I feel like I made a full circle.
Great video! It's good to have all this information in one place. Something may be missing though. There is a memory scene in which Lehran talks to one of the Apostles at the start of Rebirth 1 that isn't always there. It seems likely to me that clear data may be required to view it like some others, but I haven't been able to find confirmation anywhere.
At any rate, I have files with and without clear data on Rebirth 2 now, so I'll keep my eye out for more stuff like this.
EDIT: The scene immediately after clearing 4-E-4 with Lehran finding out about the Serenes Massacre also wasn't there.

Late reply but it's essentially new game+, it overwrites your old epilogue save to start a new one if I recall correctly.

Only requirement to get Pelleas is to spare him when you get the option. I don't believe you need to do more than that.
