Baltasis Tingynis White Lazy man Cake Lithuanian

Perhaps resembling less a cake and more a candy, this is a delicious and easy dessert or accompaniment to tea. Try this and the chocolate version, and let me know which you prefer.

400g simple cookies
1 can (approx 400g) sweetened, condensed milk
200g butter
Melt butter under low heat.Stir in condensed milk. Continue to stir until fully incorporated.
Crush cookies and make sure that there are a lot of fine crumbs. Go back to stir the milk mixture periodically until this has thickened significantly.
Pour milk mixture over crushed cookies. Stir well well incorporate completely.
Shape on baking parchment or paper. (Log shapes do not require a form but other shapes might).
Refridgerate to set for at least 12 (and ideally 24) hours. Slice and serve.
