Who ever did the video transition should be given a pay rise. The coaches look magnificent, but the editing takes top prize.

Amen to that; the LNER went big on articulated coaches, so seeing artics for them would be nice.

Love the use of Vivian Ellis's Coronation Scot music, really love this piece (along with Wilfred Josephs' Rail (1967) and David Gow's Overture One-Two-Five). The coaches look fantastic, however I think they're a bit too specialist for my layout (and also I'm running out of space for stock...)

I had a lot of trouble getting the train to run. I had to alter the wheel back to backs as they were too close, the tension lock coupling weren’t returning to centre after corners but changing to the roco ones supplied in the boxes cured this problem. Like the real railway my layout has gentle grades and loco was too light to take the train. It now has approximately 50gms of extra weight which helps and finally I had to ease the lighting pick ups away from the wheel backs to get the train to run a bit more easily . It was trial and error but I still have all the lights working, the most problematic were the 2 kitchen cars.

Marvellous, but I read that first class go at the front of the train or the southern end so that when they get to London the first class passengers haven’t got far to walk to disembark and then re-embark at teatime. What do you think David
