Du har köpt en likadan men utan batteri. Har du möjligtvis lite info om den? Märke, volt och spänning?
I purchased a similar electric scooter with seat from a dealer (bought from Alibaba) here in Ecuador for just over $800. We have had it for about 8 months now. The dealer gave us a 6 month warranty. We have had several issues: the battery charger (which has a fan and looks somewhat different than yours) quit working. The dealer replaced it reluctantly. We ride on a lot of cobblestone streets and now the front fork seems rather loose. We tried to tighten the large allen head bolt, but not much changed. Both fenders have cracked and broken (falls) and we are looking at having someone make something out of aluminum to replace them. The housing for the turn signal has also broken in a fall. The scooter is a lot of fun and draws lots of attention. Good luck with yours.

In Florida can you legally drive in bike lane? sidewalk? without License, insurance or helmet? How are these on soft sand? Who would service/repair these in the US? Motor and battery swaps easy in the future? Doubt it.. but can these be mounted on the front of City bus? Taken into the metro?
När du tar bort fotplattan, har du då möjlighet att plocka ur batteriet för att exempelvis kunna ladda upp det inomhus om man ex. bor i lägenhet?
Nej och ja. Ja rent teoretiskt, men nej då batteriet sitter fast med tejp, och har inga direkta kontakter för att lätt koppla in/ur.
Men det skulle gå göra urtagbart ja. Funderar på en video på detta

Hej, jag skulle öppna luckan till batteri och fartreglage och kolla så att alla kablar/kontakter ser hela ut och inget lossnat. Även kolla om det kan sitta någon säkring på fartreglaget som är trasig? Kolla även kablarna bak till hjulet.
Det går att mäta med en multimeter om motorn är skadad, har aldrig gjort det själv men om du söker på ”how to check an electric motor” så får du några guider.
Men mest sannolikt är nog att fartreglaget (esc) eller eventuellt gashandtaget är skadat.

Såg att du körde runt i hammarbyhöjden osv, är den till salu? Om inte, rekommenderar du en liknande istället för elcykel?
Tjena, njaa den verkar jag behålla ett tag till, den fungerar ju bättre än väntat skulle jag säga. Den är nog billigare än en elcykel iaf, men är ganska säker på att man inte kan få det där bidraget för denna, även om många säljare hävdar det. Jag provade inte ens att ansöka.

Enda fördelen med en elcykel är väl att den är helt laglig (och går att trampa när elen tar slut), denna tror jag hamnar lite i en gråzon.. Försökte läsa på men den stämmer inte riktigt in på något av de el-fordonen som finns.
Iaf, jag gav 7000kr + frakt 800kr från motorsweden. Det priset är lagom, finns att beställa direkt från kina med, typ aliexpress eller något sånt.

Yeah that's a bit weird.. it might be 800 Watt constant and 1000 Watt peak. But I don't know. I do know it will draw 30 Amps at full throttle, so power consumption is about 2000w, which is not the same as output power. But still interesting fact.
Feels like a good ride... How would you lock it to go shopping?
Well I always brought a long chain and locked the frame to something. Which is kinda heavy though... Disc brake locks wouldn't work or feel safe.

Mine is kinda fucked i just got it today it’s also a 1000w 60v but when i push it hard especially on hills it just die and i have to plug the charger so it turn back on it’s not the battery the battery is fully charged i can drive it right after i plug the charger in

Behöver man hjälm när man kör den för det står olika saker på nätet samt får man köra den på cykelbana?

Då de verkar komma med olika utrustning i form av lampa fram/bak, blinkers, tuta och hastighetsmätare är de svårt att säga huruvida du får köra på cykelbana. Men om din är "laglig" är den en klass 2 moped och dessa går max 25kmh och har det jag nämnde ovan, då får den köras i cykelbanan.

En fatscooter kan tyvärr inte vara en elcykel eller cykel då de: saknar trampor, har mer än 250w, inte är självbalanserande eller går för fort. Tyvärr.
Till en moped måste du ha en moped/mc-hjälm. Säkrast med en sån, så det är mitt tips!
När jag körde (nu är den såld) min fatscooter hade jag MC hjälm för att minska risken att bli stoppad av polisen.
Why do these review videos always have this loud electronic music in the background as soon as they hop on the motorcycle. We want to hear the sound of tires/motor/wind to really feel the ride. Please stop with this practice.

Hi! I got a similar one but It does not charge when I put it on charging it shows nothing on the screen and then I put the key in the ignition then it shows the battery sign on the screen and after 6 hours when I removed the charger it shows nothing. why did you open the board to charge it, is this the way to charge it?

Min är ju på 1000w och den har tagit mig upp för alla backar jag provat. Tycker den orkar på bra. Bättre än väntat. Men någon del av en backe som är väldigt brant har den ju tappat fart i men endå tagit sig upp för.
Jag väger ca 90kg med det jag brukar bära med mig.

Jag tätade locket upptill med en självhäftande gummilist samt alla onödiga hål i lådan svetsade jag igen. Det blev bättre, kommer in lite damm men inte mycket mer än så. Men jag kör dock inte när det är blött eller regnar ute. Undantaget var ju snö.
Angående att få den laglig så får jag återkomma. Håller fortfarande på att undersöka det med transportstyrelsen.
Barnsjukdomar och direkta åtgärder är inte så mycket, bara hålla koll på laddningen i batteriet så den inte blir stående med för låg spänning.

No it has a key without the key it cannot be started, it is your option to tie it but you don’t need to. It is Also quite heavy so no one can just pick it up and go nor push it. It dosent go very fast and is not waterproof, I recommend buying the new digital version which is same price but better and newer, I made the mistake of buying the old one

Check the cables under the scooter. There should be a thin white wire in a plastic switch. Unplug that - enjoy the ride.
how long does the battery last, and can you drive fast enough?
Top speed is about 32 km/h and for me that is more than enough (on this kind of vehicle).
Not sure how long the battery would last but most important is to not discharge too low and then leave it discharged for a longer period of time. Best is to store it with each cell at 3.8v (60.8v in total) if it is for a longer time (winter?) or at least close to full.
Mine is about a year old and still working fine!

Hi, I am driving one of these but I am having an issue with it. It suddenly stops while driving while the battery also drowns out at sudden, any solution?
Not sure, but it could be the battery that has gone bad. But it's hard to say.. I'm thinking that or maybe if the speedcontroller is overheating? But at least something is wrong, shouldn't be like that.
One thing I really liked with my mods was the new throttle that had a voltmeter, came off eBay and it gives more insight to what happens to the voltage.

I have a 1000w controller paired with a 1500w motor and my max speed is 39km/h . I am also intersted if speed will increase if you change the controller
i have 500W motor and it can run upto 46km/h.. i think you need to change your battery or maybe yours have speed limiter thats why its pretty slow..
pretty sure the charge controller is for regulating voltage going from the wall plug to the battery bank. it doesn't control the power going from the batteries to the motor.

Min gjorde max 32km/h. Platt mark, 80kg förare. Med mer luft i däcken och nedförsbacke så kanske. Men tror inte det. 32km/h räcker dock rätt bra ska du veta.

Yes there is space for a bigger battery, almost plug and play. But not always super cheap. You would have too search for it, try 67v 20ah battery

Min hade en knapp på styret som man kunde välja mellan 2 olika lägen, ett ca 25kmh och ett utan begränsning. Annars kanske dom två kablarna finns löst under locket på fotplattan?

Expect around 60km range, speed is 45kmh for sure, could be faster if you unlock speed limit, but i haven't found consistent info online. 3000w in theory could get you 70-80kmh
How do you tune it so it goes 40km/h
just get one with a big enough engine, and remove limiter if it has one, idk where you are but here in finland basically all of them have a limiter at 25km/h so it counts as a bike

No unfortunately I don’t. You should look for a battery with the same amount of cells in series but with a higher Ah. But still needs to fit.

Cool, I bought a Mototec Fat Tire Scooter (2000w, 18 AH battery, 60 volts, etc.) and I love it. It gets up to 32 mph and has a 20 mile range. I ride it every chance I get. Do you still ride it?

@@irislove2553 If you have investigated the numbers and you are happy with it, then I would say go ahead. However, the range is a lot less and the miles per hour is at least 10 mph slower. It is also a lot smaller. So if you just want to cruise around and want a smaller foot print, that would be cool. I like the speed, power and range of the one I have though. (But that range of 5 to 15 miles is suspect. Once you get out there, you don't want to turn around and come back. Twenty five miles is good for me to explore and comeback. Five to fifteen means you will be out for about 10 to 30 minutes.)

Yeah it felt too step to take the left turn there, up that hill. But it's kinda hard to see how steep it is in the video.
depending on the model, some have enough torque and some dont, to go steep uphill

Those fat tire scooters look awesome and fun to ride. Unfortunately in the states they have a 750w and 20mph restriction on all E-bikes and scooters without a motorcycle license, which doesn't give you long range without buying extra high priced batteries. Can't wait until they start producing graphene batteries.

i assume you can remove the limiter, but then you have to register it as a moped (atleast here in finland), there are models that go 45km/h stock, but again you have to register them as a moped

Ja och Nej. Nej för den är inte registrerad som något sådant fordon. Om den vore klassad som elcykel 1000w (nya moped klass 2) eller moped klass 1 så hade man behövt förarbevis/körkort ja. Då den inte klassas som elcykel/moped klass 1/2 eller är självbalanserande / för rörelsehindrade så är den ju inte godkänd att köra på väg.
Jag ringde även Transportstyrelsen och fick detta bekräftat.
Det enda sättet att få den laglig vore att genomföra en mopedbesiktning (och montera allt som en moped måste ha: lyse, blinkers, tuta, hastighetsmätare osv).
Is there a wire that restricts power? I owned 2 1600watt scooters and they told ne when i bought it to just disconnect this red wire bot cut it for warentee purposes..so im curious if this scooter has a wire to unplug that will nk it a lil faster???
Most of the ones that I have seen have two cables coming out of the electronic speed controller that goes up to a switch on the handlebar and this limits the power. When breaking the circuit the limitation is either removed or applied. But I can't remember what color these two cables are.

I bought a scooter, fatboy.. When i put in charger it "starts" but it dosen't load anything. What can i do? Only Green light dosen't turn red
Grönt betyder oftast att laddaren är på och redo eller att batteriet är fullt laddat. Om du kopplar in laddaren och det fortfarande lyser grönt så kan det vara kabeln/kontakten från ladduttaget till batteriet som är trasigt/skadat/urkopplat.
Om du öppnar upp lådan i fotplattan kan du kolla detta. Kan även vara värt att mäta hur många volt batteriet har. Viktigt om du mäter är att absolut INTE råka kortsluta plus och minus där du mäter.
Kolla även eventuella säkringar. Kanske prova en annan laddare?
Företaget Batteridoktorn / Sunstorm (tror de kanske är samma) kan ev hjälpa dig.

Oh you mean from full charge if only left sitting? Probably a few weeks.. There should be some drain from the speed controller since it has an electronic on/ off.

Åtminstone fartreglaget men kanske batteriet till ett med högre volt. Antalet volt brukar påverka hastigheten.
Hi guys, I had a Romai bike with pedals rated 400w, on full charge the top speed was 31km but for about 10mins after it will drop and stay at 29km. But it was a 400w not 1000w. I expect a 1000w scooter to go 50km.
I'm guessing you mean km/h and the top speed is related to voltage multiplied by the amps that the speed controller can draw. When the voltage drops the top speed will drop.
400w or 1000w is just the power. Speed will also be affected by the power, weight of the machine and gearing or equivalent.
This Fat Scooter is actually really heavy! 60kg!

@@BasinBjorn hello, you seem very knowledgefull about this topic, i have a very similar scooter with a 2000w motor and 1500w controller, it has a limiter wich stops it at about 32-32.5 mph on flat. In theory if i manage to remove the limiter, what kind of speed could i reach ? As for the controller is it normal for the controller to have 500w less than the motor ? What if i where to upgrade to a 2000w limiter or 3000w ? What would happen ? And what if i where to upgrade to let's say a 3000w or 8000w motor without changing the controller, what would happen ? An explanation would be very much welcome

Ja det är jag! Tack! Hm det går ju ta ut batteriet men den är inte gjord för det. Luckan sitter med ca 6-7 skruvar, sedan måste du göra någon snabbkoppling mellan batteri och elektronik. Sedan är batteriet tejpat på plats med dubbelhäftande tejp så om du tar bort den behöver du något annat sätt att hålla det på plats, tex en rem kardborre eller liknande..
Så det går ju, men är inte optimalt. Beror på hur pass villig du är att ta ur/ sätta i batteriet varje gång.
Och lösa problemen ovan.
Det är bara kolla på hans regnr på bilen så ser man att han är svensk xD

Max Speed on mine was 32 kmh, got a video testing that, but depends on the model you get.

I just strapped it down and let it hang out a little in the back. Drove like under 40km/h all the way home from the Bring delivery center

Get the biggest battery available...so 27 ah (for example most Ebikes only have a 15Ah battery)

How does it handle steep uphills?
Mine did great, I weigh about 85-90kg with a backpack on and it took me up all hills where I live. Though some hills made it slow down and some it actually accelerated slightly up.
I really want one. I it would save me from having to use my car to work, but apparently it is not road legal in Norway...

Well, that depends on where you live. Local laws. I think you'd be best off by talking to the police where you live and see what their perspective is on it.

Well it's hard to say Yes or No. But I haven't had any problems with it (so far) and it seems to just work. Should be more about if you are ok with the range, price, specs.

Have you considered trying to put a 49 CC gas engine as a replacement for the E one?
I know, fuel emissions & so on, however, on a full tank of gas / 2cycle oil mix, you can expect at least 70 mph ( not sure how that works in km, sorry!) & Probably can modify it to go faster than a regulatory 30 MPH which puts it under Moped registration laws in the U. S. ( not sure how they work elsewhere, but over here, as long as it's under 30 MPH, no one really cares much. You can probably do something with a speedometer if the E scooter unit featured doesn't have one on it so you can adjust speed when "no one's looking" so to speak.
Again, yes, car on emissions, but not as much as one might expect from a gas engine, especially a 49 CC one.

Id like to see a 2 person seat on this, and by the look of it, it should be able to handle that easily!
Actually there is a add-on seat that makes it fit 2 people on it. Maybe not the most esthetically pleasing solution but it works.
For mine I just ended up doing a custom seat that is about the size of a motorcycle seat.
I wouldn't count on it doing any steep hills with 2 ppl and only the 1000w motor.
@@BasinBjorn I had a Honda Trail 50 as a kid, it rocked! and it to had a looong cushy seat that easily fit 2, IMO the right 2 person seat on the right bike can improve the aesthetically pleasing look a bike possesses, especially if there's a sissy bar lol I like the look of sissy bars. Imma gonna look for a 2 person picture of this bike. ^_^
@@BasinBjorn OMG!! I just say their V2 which has the 2 person seat... or rather, the 'double seat', BLECK!! Why would they cheap out and just slap on 2 exact same seats, that just looks horrible, I would just buy a single piece 2 person seat that would fit from another source, ugh, you were right, aesthetically deplorable horrible!

is it worth the money can it go up hills and is it good for like riding to school or is a normal bike better?
TheQuitto i have the same and it is great for hills but it depends on how much weight you carrying. I drive with my friends and we wigh about 135 to 150 kg really depends but we easily get up hills with 2 people. 2000w is about 3 hourse power and thats quite alot for a scooter that weighs 60 kg :)

make sure what the laws of your country says about these things, here in finland it has to be limited to 25km/h to be counted as a bike, or 45km/h if you register it as a moped

Depends on different laws in your country.. I only know how it is here in Sweden, and it's a kinda 'only on private property', but I've never seen the popo stop anyone.

No, there is not. But it is possible to convert the 60-ish volt to 12v and power stuff off that. Search for "step down buck converter" or parts of that.

Funbikes.co.uk sell them. But can only be used on private property due to outdated traffic laws. To use these on the road it would need to registered, Tax, Mot, and insurance. Been looking into getting one myself but it might be easier to get a 50cc scooter. Hope this helps.

its an ebike u dont need a licence but if ur 13 u cant ride on the man road and you have to go the legal speed on ebikes.

Hur tar man bort hastighetsspärren?
På min så var det två sladdar från fartreglaget som gick upp till en knapp på styret. Denna knapp aktiverade / stängde av den spärren.
Kan eventuellt vara så att vissa Fat Scooters har denna kabel men ingen knapp på styret. Dock ska man vara försiktig och inte bara koppla ihop kablar utan att veta vad de gör.
Minns dock inte om full hastighet var krets sluten eller krets bruten.

I thought about it but never got to it. Didn’t find a controller for it and realized it would cost to much with a bigger battery for it.
How is it working after a year?
Hi, I can't really say since I sold it after about 9 months. Until then it worked fine for me. But I always kept it in a warm garage and never let the battery sit with a low state of charge.
But: the quality felt cheap, like when a company makes copies of something.
And as an example the motor/back wheel had a terrible unbalance. Not sure if it's the motor or tire. But it should have been better.
