Welcome to our in-depth guide on monitoring Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with Prometheus and Grafana. In this video, we'll walk you through the entire process of setting up robust monitoring for your AKS clusters, ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of your applications running on this powerful platform.
Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is a powerful container orchestration solution, but effectively monitoring it is crucial for maintaining the health of your applications and infrastructure. We'll explore how to leverage the power of Prometheus, a leading open-source monitoring and alerting toolkit, and Grafana, a popular visualization and dashboard tool, to gain insights into your AKS cluster's performance and resource utilization.
Here's a glimpse of what you can expect in this video:
Introduction to AKS Monitoring: We'll begin by understanding the importance of monitoring in the AKS environment and why Prometheus and Grafana are excellent choices for this task.
Setting Up Prometheus: Learn how to set up Prometheus to collect and store metrics from your AKS clusters, including essential configuration and best practices.
Creating Dashboards with Grafana: Discover how to use Grafana to create custom dashboards and visualize the metrics collected by Prometheus, providing a clear view of your AKS cluster's performance.
Alerting and Notifications: We'll delve into how to set up alerting rules in Prometheus to proactively detect and respond to issues, ensuring your applications are always running smoothly.
Scaling and Optimization: Explore strategies for scaling your monitoring solution and optimizing resource consumption to keep costs in check.
Real-World Examples: We'll showcase real-world examples and best practices to help you gain practical insights into monitoring your AKS clusters with Prometheus and Grafana.
By the end of this video, you'll have a comprehensive understanding of how to implement effective monitoring for your Azure Kubernetes Service using Prometheus and Grafana. Whether you're an AKS beginner or a seasoned pro, this guide will equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to ensure your AKS clusters run at their best.

Thank you for watching my videos.
It depends on use cases. One benefit of managed service would be you would get enterprise support.
