Franz Beckenbauer's death reported on RTÉ News (8th January 2024)

RTÉ News reports on the death of German football legend Franz Beckenbauer. Nicknamed "Der Kaiser", Beckenbauer is one of only three men to win the FIFA World Cup as both player and manager, the other two being Brazil's Mario Zagallo and France's Didier Deschamps. Zagallo himself died just two days before Beckenbauer at the age of 92.
