Damn Hetfield's voice is fucking golden here.
+Thomas Noonan I agree. Although I think, James' voice is pretty weak and way too high since he came back from rehab, this performance right here is pretty strong.
i know right god damn
I like more this performance of Disposable Heroes than the one recorded in the Master of Puppets album.
Impossible
The loss of cliff gave him that voice on justice im sure.music is feeling and he was getting his out there.
Can't believe they don't play this more, such an excellent song.
John Moore this, leper Messiah, dyers eve and Judas kiss should be played more often
Its a long complicated song, they do up to 25 songs a night and most songs average 5 minutes, remembering all the key changes, tempo changes, solo's and melodies...let alone getting older. Glad we are able to have these dudes around still!
But they have always played 18-19 songs in a set. They only played very long sets during the black album tour. Even on that tour the amount of songs was never 25. The largest amount of songs was around 21-23 songs.
this song is a living hell for James to sing. Just listen to that chorus
AlexanderW amen!
One of the best live recordings in history. And my Mexican friends, you are loved.

The way they look at each other around 0:48 lol, they know the song is badass
Lmao
So true hahahaha
Totally! James's look at 0:50, whoooaa love it, man!
The perfect Metal Song.
Tornado of souls is the perfect metal song
The Sentinel - Judas Priest is the perfect metal song.
The best solo from Metallica for sure.
After Only by Anthrax.
Gabriel De la Ossa that would have sounded fuckin’ awesome and would lend itself to badass scene in my head.
That riff😩 my god that riff is orgasmic

Unless you play the guitar, please shut the fuck up. That is all that riff is.
Is that a bad thing?
It's actually 00000-000-0-0-0 :D

Love how Kirk is absolutly shredding and the camera man is just like "I think they'd like to see Lars hit this cymbal"
lol
When are you people going to learn that it isn’t the cameraman’s duty to decide what gets shown? It’s the editor’s decision. There are several cameras each focusing on a different member from multiple angles.

00:57 didn't hear that bass slide 12///0 since the original record in 1986. Details that matter. Trujillo is great.
Slide??
@@viccypress6292 woahhhh
Seriously. He's a great interpreter of both Cliff and Jason, and he adds his own flair where appropriate (like that little extra note he throws in to the intro of Bells), and his playing on DM and HTSD is phenomenal.
@@TippiGordon Absolute agreement here
@@AleArzMusic “slide” umm yeah no😂😂
This is the crowd I want to go to a Metallica concert with. Not like here in Germany, ppl are scared of showing too much excitement.
True, I once got weird looks because I was freakin' happy and full of excitement. There are for sure some strange people around who should rather watch concerts in their basement. Alone.
Mexico and South America always seem like the most energetic fans on these vids . Must be amazing to be there.
Me too.. People were elbowing me and pulling my hair just because of I was headbanging..
@@themetal5587 most energetic countries are the small countries where metallica comes once every 10 years watch the concer in bulgaria 2010 you will see what a crowd is
Same here in Norway. People are so afraid of what other think abort them. damn Lars and Kirk on point here, james on his vocals and as good as his godly rhythm.
we know the 4 horsemen won’t always play as aggressive as they use to. But for them to nail a song like disposable heroes is always a damn good day.
Damn right
Completely agree.
This performance of the song floored the hell out of me, all things considered. ( age, very difficult song, etc.)
Right on rocknflip66...!!
Lars is actually a good drummer... when he wants to be.
Lars still played way more snare hits than in the song :(

This song is so badass how could you NOT have fun playing? One of my personal favorite Metallica songs.
The crowds in these Latino cities are the best at rock concerts. The add so much energy. This and Ac/Dc riverplate. proof.

Holy shit! Not to butter my own bread, but I freaking nailed that solo!
OTIS MORAN no shit
Kirks solo crushing my thirst
Kirk Wahmett 89,
For some reason i feel like thats something kirk Hammet would say from what u said from your comment lol.
back to the front. still relevant. solo was killer KirK. Bless You guys for still fUckin rockin
yes you did wahh man!
One of their better performances since 2000 definitely
Thrash Guy but 2000 was probably their worst year
Did you even read?
Iv watched a few of their liver performances and saw them in London last year and I can honestly say that they've got their mojo back. Even if the album wasn't that great, their live performances have been superb. Kirk's solo's are in tune and even Lars was keeping up!
Thrash Guy they seem to always play better in Mexico than anywhere else.
@@thebruiserweight8131 better Tacos.
Latin America crowd is the best. We are really passionate about heavy metal. I am from Brazil, the crowd here is a very good one.
I got to admit they fucking killed it. Lars did fkg great, and he's old! Hell yeah. My first favorite metal band.
That's not something you hear much.
I'm kidding, I love lars
took me many years to accept it...but they are definitely the world's biggest metal band
Matt Hanchuck i accepted from the first time
Yea them and iron maiden are the most known metal bands
Iron Maiden.
@monokhem And they will finally start the second leg of their US tour in arena's this Sunday!! \m/
They are currently the world biggest band period. Bu that's mainly because all the other big ones split, and current popular music is mainly solo artists.
Moscow 1991 was and is still one of my favorite Metallica live concerts but after watching this concert in Mexico I think this will be no1 on top. Just imagine if Moscow 91 will be recorded in the same audio/video quality! Anyway...Mexico is the best Metallica concert host, period. Big Respect Mexico! This is how a concert audience should be! love and respect
I swear their Mexico shows are always the best… not just their performances but the crowds energy.
Mexico city and Moscow, biggest most intense atmosphere, no restrictions love it, so fucking metal
Greetings from albuROCKque, New Mexico
Most under rated song by Metallica. Definitely top 5.
Nothing else matters no1 anyways
It's my second favorite after One
Truly one of their greatest songs ever written and one of the best songs about the horrors of war, period.
I can't imagine how great James felt that night he was probably the king of the world
3 nights, he played at the same stadium for 3 nights in a row. Metallica concert tickets sold out in a few hours, I’m pretty sure they could have a 4th night with the stadium a full capacity if they wanted to.
Absolutely love the interaction between James and Lars in the intro!
Love Kirk and Rob's *back to the front*!
+gerberho1 Oh of course, but for them it was cool.
Deadpool It's actually "Battlefront"
Cobain 92 Nope
Cobain 92
Back to the Front!
(as in war)
Deadpool Yes...But I like Cliff's more, when Cliff screams ,,Back To The Front!" it's just gold,l
priceless.....
Kirk really nailed the solo in this one
Jake Grogan hell yeah, stayed pretty true to studio. Awesome
Jake Grogan he NAILED it, so good.
But I can't really hear kirk here
Are your ears painted on?
yeah can't hear Kirk
This song hits like a hurricane and never stops. Their best IMO. It’s raw, fast, and intense.

What a fucking sad song, lyric wise, I dunno this song for me is most touching metallica song, brutal and sad
I've sung this song very loud while driving in my car and believe me, I really get into the lyrics and I get a lump in my throat. Very sad indeed. Such a masterpiece.
I actually think this song is better than master of puppets.... though just a tad.... but because it is more on the darker side lyrically and is not very popular it is overshadowed by other songs by Metallica .....
also Lars was surprisingly good here😂😂😂😂
I half agree with you, but this song is more about the manipulation aspect of war. That's how i see at least.
Just sending young kids to their death for big business and the money contracts war creates. It is fucking sad.
I love Mexico because they've always been fanatics for: Metallica, Interpol and Morrissey.
Yesss
Metallica, Interpol and Morrissey walk into a bar...
I watch this every once in a while, one of their greatest performances of any song, ever. Just fabulous from these guys
Totally agree I have come back to this performance so many times also, over 100 probably.
Exactly why Metallica is the best band in the world.

My personal favorite Hammett solo. So melodic and just fucking killer. He nailed it in this performance.
I remember watching the DVD of this concert when I was in high school, 12 years ago, here I am, 2022 and I'm still watching/listening to this concert. Excellent one! I
Много видел выступления Metallica в разных странах , но самые живые поклонники , на мой взгляд , в Мексике ! Респект Мексиканцы !!!!!!
Yeah in Mexico we are not better than any country
We are just different of the others
An American band, playing in Mexico, being commented on by a Russian, the world is so connected nowadays its incredible
Южане,мать их за ногу
А как же San Diego
holy shit its like metallica are in their 20's again!
Uhhhh... let's not get carried away.

This is the song that turned me on to Metallica cause I knew they had cool lyrics and weren't just metal jocks!!! FUCK WAR!!!!
jason H. Zeger I dunno how much sensitive ur for music, but this isn't even close to the how they used to play it in the 80's.
Phillip McClain
well it is at least closest to their 80's era since 2000
Trujillo landed the gig of a lifetime. What an honor to try and fill Cliff’s gigantic shoes. Although, I do miss Jason’s background vocals.
Rob’s backing vocals are really good in this song tho
Damn Lars killed it here, he even pulled off the off-beat intro really well
Hello Lars - I wasn’t expecting to see you comment here!
The Mexican crowd always going crazy! love it!
ver la cara de felicidad del publico y como sale gente que se desploma de la emocion es la prueba de que esta es mejor musica del puto mundo
El metal y el rock son los unicos géneros musicales que provocan esa euforia.
Sweet Jesus, James never lost his mighty downpicking...and also the bass intro reminds me of Dream Theater's Constant Motion
Yeah you can't downpick that, James can't too
But he's fast and has a lot of stamina for sure
Mexican fans, you rules ! Hi and kiss from France 🙏😘
I just LOVE the unbridled energy the crowds outside the United States have for Metallica!!!!! Fucking awesome!!!!!!
Magnificent song and incredible energy for 50-years-old people.
In this world,in this moment, the most of the people listen to Dubstep or Rap or Pop,the Heavy-Metal is seen by the people like "old-fashioned" and not actual, now,we all metallers have to show how much is fucking strong this music,we have to show our banners and say."SHUT THE FUCK-UP" to all those stupids and go on our fucking, dirty, strong and metallic life.
Rock-On,Headbangers!
In their 40s here
La mirada entre James y Lars es TODO.
Flawless and powerful. One of my fave songs. Lars was epic in this.
He’s not the best drummer ever but he IS Metallica. Integral to their sound
Viva Mexicanos! They are an exciting crowd. The guys fed off of that energy and played fantastically!
Is no one going to compliment how amazing Lars did in this one? Oh i forgot we're supposed to hate him

@Dave Schrack you seem to be the 1st person that i see commenting with logic and not just pure hatred.. :) have to agree with you..
The look that Lars and James gave each other at the very beginning is the look that the reaction to this intro never gets old, even after 40 years 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This will always be one of the most brutal Metallica tunes ever. Riffs for days. Plus they are absolutely nailing it in this video. 🤘
Watching this just after watching the 1993 live version in Switzerland when they were touring for the Black album. This one is, by far, superior in musicianship than the other when they were 27 years younger. They absolutely nailed this. A testament to them striving to be a great live band and continuing to grow and better themselves at their craft.
Lol ok sure buddy
More like they decided to fucking rehearse for once.
I've seen Metallica dozens of times live, they normally can't seem to play their own shit correctly
