Finland, the only country who made a good use of the By Request tour, and got them to play this gem.
Sergio They played in Milan in 2015 when i saw them, they also played unforgiven 2, disposable Heroes, fight Fire with fire and king nothing. Lots of rare stuff

The irony is that the song is never played because it they thought it would be awkward, but it is actually really good live, especially the beginning.
This would probably be a song the crowd looks forward to every time especially for the beginning.
A lot of people (the more casual fans really) get turned off by the Justice tracks.

Hearing Robert’s bass just makes you realize how screwed Jason got on “Justice”.
Yeah. AJFA is my favorite album, but even I'll admit that the mix was garbage. And Justice for Jason!
I've heard mixes where the bass was turned up. And no disrespect to Jason. But it sounds like shit. The bass was identical to the guitar played by James and it was drowning out the guitar.

Nah I would say a bunch of song from Death Magnetic are better from a song writing perspective. All Nightmare Long for example has even more interesting things going.
The mid section of this song is so damn good. The riffs, the drum break, and the solo are very well done. One of the highlights on AFJA in my opinion.

AJFA is their best album IMO. Rich, innovative, daring, technical. There's not really anything like it. I think of it as the first prog metal album.

Lars misses the mark on a lot of hits and the fills all get ahead of themselves. The tempo all throughout is really unsteady. It's not horrific, it's just bad enough to notice. Still, you should expect more from him.

Justice has finally been served. The frayed ends has been brought to the masses live. One of the greatest riffs in all of metal.
Let us not glaze over the fact that Lars absolutely killed it, double bass and all sounded brilliant.
He certainly played well. but I find the really unrealistic sample on his snare drum just takes me out of it.

I thought this drum track was overdubbed because the 2014 version sounds like complete dog shit compared to this. It’s the exact same drumming though, whoever was in charge of their live concerts during this period really screwed them. It really sounded like they were falling apart 2011-2014 but now I’m convinced it was shit production.

I just watched a 2015 version and he unfortunately could barely make it though the solo, but he really killed it here

Justice, the best thrash-metal album from now till eternity.
This whole album was their best overall. I understand why you'd go with Master or Ride, but something about this album is STILL underrated. The solos are Kirk's best (Dyer's Eve is insanity), and the riffs are classic mastermind Het.
Ride the Lightning is their album. Fade to Black, Escape, Call of Khutlu, For Whom the Bell Tolls and Creeping Death lol. And Justice For All and Kill Em was my first two albums that got me into Metallica

All three of those are good. The 3 best metal albums ever made probably. I like Master best, but Justice is a close second, and Ride the Lightning is brilliant too, but has some filler on it.

Greg Fidelman has been doing a great job remixing these live shots. As far as the AJFA album, they don't have to re-record the whole thing. They could have just took the upcoming remastered version, and mixed a new track of Rob's bass into it... It would sound better, but then again it might be a slap in the face to Jason personally, if it matters anymore.

Remember being there live for this and how freakkin cold it was! I flew from London the day before and almost didn't take a coat as it was 26 degrees the week before - when i got there it was 4! Had to buy a Raiders woolly hat in the Stockmann around the corner the day of the show. Great experience tho!

Kirk sure gets a lot of flak by all the keyboard- professionals the internet has to offer. But his solo on this video sounds as amazing as it was on the album. His sound is still very awesome to me and I will never get tired of this album. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🎸

Yeah the problem is that those people focus on the off moments. And even pros are human. The reality is that often the very next week or day Kirk will play amazingly well again. Same goes for Axl Rose’s singing. People find the off nights from CZcams and trash him but in reality if you were on tour with him he’ll sing like a god another night. People like to focus on the negative. And it’s easy to point fingers from behind a keyboard. These guys put themselves out there despite all of those comments and negativity and get on with it 👊

The By Request tour was a risky move by Metallica given Lars has forgotten how to play half their songs.
Lars has forgotten more than you’ll ever know! He’s been doing this for 35 plus years and has played a million shows and knows everyone of those songs because guess what he wrote almost all of them.

This is a beast of a song , countless different chunky as F brutal riffs , one after another , I'd lose my mind if I saw them play this song live, what a hidden absolute jem of a track this is , been a good couple years since last time I've listened too it, dunno how but almost kinda forgot about it as I'm ashamed to admit , it was kinda worth it though cause listeninh to this live version of it for the first time is almost like listening to it for first time ever, kinda.
