Hopefully it's not bugged after the ship battle because mine froze on the loading screen after the Tunnel of the Damned
Unfortunately this Tall Tale is bugged at the end :( It's a known issue that will hopefully be solved soon.
@@RareThief I discovered that after many tries. I even tried to go in with a knives and a pistol and it still bugged. What a letdown after all that

I’ve figured out how to get the shanty, assuming to those who have completed all commendations for Tall Tale 3 and the previous two. When I was replaying the tales, I’d see progression going up for the “Legend of Monkey Island” commendation, which unlocks the title and the shanty. After doing the first two Tall Tales, “The Journey to Melee Island” and the “Quest of Guybrush,” my progression had increased beyond 30% (you get around 30% after doing “The Lair of LeChuck” for all commendations to do with progressing the “Legend of Monkey Island” commendation). When you replay them and start unlocking the commendations that you would’ve already gotten if you fully completed the tall tales respective commendations, the progression increases. If you do that you should get the shanty. It took me some time to do but that’s how you get the title and shanty 100%.
Tl:DR: Ensure you have all commendations for the third tale and replay the previous two by striving to get all the commendations again, even if you already unlocked them when the tales first came out and got them. No notification will show up if you already unlocked them, but after you do the tale, check the achievements progression bar on the commendation to see where you are and you should see that it’s progressing by repeating the entirety of the tales.
Sorry if that’s a long read, I just hope it’s helpful to those that want the shanty before a patch comes out. Spread this to others who maybe looking for the shanty and title.

For everyone doing this at the time the Tale is BUGGED... you will have an INFINITE LOADING SCREEN after you did the BOAT FIGHT in the lava pool. I hope people see this before they start the mission/tale... (have a great day 😅) (pin the comment pls it would help some people probably)

Really good tutorial but when I am done with the ghost ship fight and I’m traveling to melee island the loading screen is taking a long time is that normal I don’t want to to lose all of this and redo it

What do I do if I mess up the shot on the top mountain to knock over the monkey tower it won’t let me change the angle again
Anyone else get a bug where you can't rotate the Primitive Art rock throwing thing? Both rotation options are geryed out and I can't knock down the Monkey Totem.

I got the bug too. I completed all commendations for all 3 tales but it didn't unlock the title or the shanty for me.
FYI - I did this again to get the GT Cutlass and I only had to retort LeChuck 2x each in the final 3 battles with him.

This is my 3rd time doing this tall tale bc the first time I did it they didn’t have the second sword and the second time I did it the final le chuck fight bugged out and didn’t let me move 😭

My game crashed every time while I am in the portal. Usually I can get to the part where he talks about cucumbers before my game said's I lost connection. Any ideas?

I can’t even complete the tall tail it been over a month since my attempt but after Kate teleports you back to melee island I get sent back to the sea of thieves
I managed to finish this tall tale with the help of ur video but for some reason 2 of the commendations didn’t unlock and give me the shanty but I did get the burning cutlass and the portrait of le chuck
So you got the Shanty but not the other two rewards? That's weird. Most people are getting the two rewards and not the Shanty. The rewards in general for this Tall Tale are being looked into by the team. It seems like there are some issues that are being worked out. We'll let you know when we hear it's all been sorted. Hopefully they just show up!

Bruh this Tale is bugged af now just did the Ship fight and got a permanent black screen so I had to literally restart pretty much all of the Stone head and it didn't work again Rare Thief you think this will be solved?
Great help btw when I did it on Xbox just trying to 100% it on Playstation now but it is obviously a permanently black screen

As an hourglass player getting forced to do this with a friend I hit the mast first try then shot it on the ground for a while since I had that many cannonballs

How do you do the telescopes? I'm so confused, says you have to mount something and I can't adjust them.
You need to find the Spyglass in the jungle for the Spyglass Stand by the Black Pearl. Follow the monkey footprints to find it.

I got server merged as I was leaving the tale tall. Portal despawned, gamefroze. Logged out rejoined and my ship was half way up the mountain. Schuttled and it sent me to the start of the tale beach with no ship. Tried restarting the tale to just cancel and it freezes again. I have completed everything and have the picture and sword but I can’t complete the tall tale!
What?! That sounds crazy! Hmm, not sure how to fix that. If you are worried about unlocking the Shanty, no one can at the moment. It is glitched for everyone until further notice.
It’s also the two other triumphs as well as the shanty one as I can’t complete the tall tale. I need to travel back through the portal to “ finish”. I hope no one else ever gets server merged as it causes major problems.
How long did this take you to do even with the guide?
At least an hour and a half. You should count on about two hours probably. It’s a big one!
I spawned in the checkpoint, the portal took me to melee island, Kate wasn’t there, I opened the church and nothing happened
I really wish the fire sword (burning blade) would actually give the player the ability to deal more damage and set mobs on fire. It would be very useful
But play2w rare isn't gonna do that

@RareThief ok, I loved these tall tails. What's so funny about the third one is what will jack sparrow do when he finds out his ship is stranded at monky Island, no way to get there and no way to get his ship back from guybrush.
Rare thief, I have done all commendations but it says I have not I have done 15/18 but the other 3 are the cosmetics?

It does not let me give guybrush the head, if restarted this section and the tall tale 3 times, what should I do?
Hmm…not sure. Do you explore the room a few times? Guybrush should eventually follow you to the end and stand waiting for you to give him the head. Does he go to the spot?
@@RareThief he goes to the spot and just floats there, no prompt to give him the head and he just gets stuck.

Go back to the cage. The items reset to where they were first found after a while of not touching them.
I fought in the lava area and won. Then I lost connection to my game and can't get teleport to melee island once I logged back in

I got to the end, to the fight in the church but I got stuck because I only had a pistol and sniper and didnt bring a sword and those dont deal enough damage to put him into the insulting phase, so I literally wasted 1,5hours just to be stuck cause I didnt bring a sword :)
Shoot, sorry we didn't mention it. It totally escaped us. Luckily there is a Checkpoint you can use that puts right right back on the docks of Mêlée Island so you won't lose too much time!
After having the end 3 commendations glitch I tried to rerun the tall tale from the beginning. Everything was going fine until the Lava ship fight…followed the ship to the large lava arena and then it just disappeared… no fight, no progress…
Really? LeChuck's ghost ship was just...gone? That's so odd!

omg this chapter is So buggy found 4 bugs so far trying to do it including a checkpoint save bug which gets rid of the 3rd monkey on the hand and relocks the fence and giant monkey head forcing me to do most of the task again on the island.
What is the frame 52 seconds in?

Hmm…did you already use it to knock down the statue? Some pirates have reported that it randomly stops working after that.

@@RareThief It's the one where Le Chuck's hideout has to be overcome. On the second run, I managed to do it, but as with the other two previous Monkey Island adventures, despite having completed all the achievements, the adventure doesn't give me 100% completion...

@@RareThief i figured it out, if you get guybrush’s spirit to touch the wall, he’ll glitch, then if you die with the navigating skull, the spot’ll be open and it will be fixed
When I crash the wedding my game freeze is there a way to fix that

You should have mentioned that you need a sword for the Fight against LeChuck. Cause Not everyone has a sword equiped. And it was not working without a Sword

On the headless monkey there’s a armory box
Im stuck at the church with lechuck .. i cant move and cant dmg him for tp outside .. i tryed it 5 times now and i get stuck again .. anyone knows a solution to this?
Hmm...no, we haven't run into that issue. You should have a Checkpoint though so you can try again.

The Lantern? For what part? You use your own Lantern from your Item Radial to start the fire.

@@RareThiefit didn’t disappear, it was still there but the prompt to pick it up was being blocked by the prompt to read the book. Had to restart at the checkpoint
@@LtSHAKEnBAKE Oh I see, okay. Dang :( In the future, you can leave an item alone for ~10 minutes and it will reset to its original location. Hopefully it's smooth sailing from here though :)

@RareThief not really. I like more combat focused stories. The insult and retorts weren't that fun. It felt like I was just running around talking to people. The last one had the potential of being good with the ship battle, but I wish the AI drove while I fired cannons

@@RareThief i already opened all of them and took the monocle than i needed to be afk when i came back it said sea monkey stole your monocle than i went to ship wreck but i couldn't find it also all cereal boxes were still opened
