- From Free Guy (2021). When Millie (Jodie Comer) and Walter "Keys" (Joe Keery) finally realize they were meant for each other. One of the sweetest scenes ever.

“I’m just a love letter to you. And somewhere out there is the author.”
Tell you what, in the context of the film, this is probably one of the best written love lines I’ve seen in a long time. The movie is sweet and corny and cliché and whatever, but that line alone is the most touching piece of dialogue I’ve heard this year I think.
Yes yes yes 👏
Every one in the theatre was touched by this line and moment~ i can heard guys and girl express their emotion
i agree with you mehnnn
The only thing that seemed silly is that she did not realize before when he told her about Guy's program, but from those details you can ignore for the rest be good
I cried throughout the whole ending. I think that's the beauty of Free Guy, gaming can mean more to people than "just" being games. It's people's art and creativity, and THEIR way to express their passions, and Key's way to express his love for Millie.
There is nothing wrong with that, it's touching, sweet and gentle. ✨
At the start of the film, Keys talks about how words let you down but 0s and 1s dont and that he was an auther not a coder/programmer. So that is how he conveys how he feels, through code, so that is how he told the girl of his dreams that he loved her. He wrote a love letter in the only way he knew how, through code. In a way that wouldnt let him down.
omg i didn’t even think about that
That was The whole Idea of this Beautiful Movie😍😍
It's so funny and weird to me how a movie like this, that might be percieved as wacky at first sight, can have such detailed aspects in its characters and how it can convey a touching message.
Love it. Of course it's got plenty of silly moments, but it is honsetly a movie worth watching with a heartwarming ending.
Omg
And. It. Worked.
Steve Harrington finally got the girl.
yea lol XD
You damn right!
as he deserves!!
lol
You win, nice work OP +1
That scene is the most romantic plot twist I've ever watched... I love how AI doesn't just follow his program but think such a way that he's a written program by an author and that Millie deserves to be with him...
Damn, Guy... That scene is just damnn
@Si Dunue yes... Exactly
Also goes to show how much of a coding genius Keys is. Keys managed to make an A.I. that recognises the existence of his creator, and the 'why's' of that existence. Not only that, but Guy was also coded with the capability to 'act' on that recognition, ultimately giving Millie to Keys, even if in a sense, Guy IS Keys. Damn
The ending scene reminded me so much of Westworld when the Hosts escape into the cloud and make their own world… these are AIs they could literally be in any form they want. The human body is just a corporal form they are code and can just leave into the world net if they wanted to… even if they can’t right now pretty sure they will figure it out.
“The fantastic art of making your good day into a great day“ by Blue Shirt Guy
@@Vekcrazah
Good point.
Plays well with other characters in a great story :)
Also goes to show how much of a genius God is.
God managed to make an intelligence that recognizes the existence of his creator, and the ‘why’s’ of that existence. Not only that, but Man was also created with the capability to ‘act’ on that recognition, ultimately giving Jesus to Man, even if in a sense, Jesus IS God.
For a movie that's not supposed to be that romantic, this is probably the most romantic moment i saw for years
Is there a german word for someone who has never felt love but love moments like these?
Man, I cried a bit, happy tears ofc. At first I shipped her with Guy but then the whole point was to make us and her realize that "Guy" is infact keys. Damn, they did a fantastic job.
And they have Keys wearing a blue shirt! He's literally the blue shirt guy.
Same
I knnnooowwww right dude I mean like this was a different kind of realisation moment, where you feel that "Ohhh" but along with it there's also a rush-y feeling. They really did do an amazing job because suddenly you start to feel that Keys is the best for her 😍💙
Loved this movie
Best movie I seen for years.
keys seriously made an entire game and created life to flirt with Millie that is other levels of smooth
Now I know why Keys was 'oddly curious' about when she first kissed Guy. To him, it's already a big win.
I assumed it was just him being jealous

The scene was amazing. But it doesnt make the movie good. The ending wont make the love story great unfortunately. Its just the ending as a twist
they have Keys wearing a blue shirt! He's literally the blue shirt guy!
OMG :D
I DIDNT NOTICE THIS FIRST TIME. ALSO MILLIE IS WEARING A WHITE SHIRT JUST LIKE HER CHARACTER DOES
Keys being darker blue.
Guy being lighter blue
Thank you 😌...I noticed that because of you
Holy crap!! Never noticed that!
“I’m just a love letter to you. And somewhere out there is the author.”
One of the best lines I've ever heard in a movie, hits deep, don't know why, GREAT SCENE
Absolutely
What's the music at the end
Because God is the creator, the maker of the universe, everything comes from him, whatever beautiful and good is like a love letter to us, humans, reminding us that we were created to have fellowship with him, to find our deepest satisfaction in a relantionship of love and joy with him.
"You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Psalm 16:11
The fact that a video game character teaches you the real meaning of love is something that makes this movie stand out.
And yet, many people keep failing to learn this lesson.
"I'm just a love letter to you... someone out there is the author "
- whoever wrote this, thank you for the feels 🥰☺😍
I cried. Just saying
Yes
Forreal. Unironically one of the most poetic lines of cinematic dialogue in recent memory, imo.
as a programmer, that scene is actually touch my heart
You don't have to be a programmer to feel this scene

I don't think it needs a sequel the ending is so good and closed the story already
@John Cena me too, the ending was totally perfect, but, i want to see what's happen next to them
Disney is already pursuing a Free Guy 2, or Free City, or whatever a sequel will be called
If there were a Free Guy 2... Guy would get an A.I. girlfriend.. someone like Millie.. only, A.I.

Not gonna lie. I cried when she realized how deep Keys' love was for her. I can only pray for that kind of love.
Me too cried after watch this part😢
Good shit. Now that's how you end a movie
The look of comprehension when she finally realizes what he's been trying to tell her all this time is priceless!!! Then to stare across the street and say so much without saying a word.that is the kind of love I long for again.so we'll done.
I’m so glad you pointed this out I reminded it like 4x just to see that again
he is a phenomenal actor And so is she
I felt everything like I was involved 😂
Cute ending but my god she must have a real life perception stat of 1 if she couldn't see how Keys is madly in love with her before all this
Yeah that part really stuck with me, like how are you figuring that out just now!?
I think insight -2 stat is more fitting.
Trust me these happen very often when you fall in love with your girl best friend. These girl is in denial all the time. Mainly because girls tend to wait to be asked. Not actively seeking. Even though she know her friends is in love with her she will not move unless asked.
@@rockzs74r well that's my point, I thought throughout the movie that she knew but wanted to be asked, which would be realistic, but this scene showed her as not knowing, which tested my suspension of disbelief

Precisely! xD
Neither of them spoke a single word but both of them knew what the other was saying
Why is no one talking about the scene with Guy and Buddy!? It’s a parallel! Guy and buddy on two different sides of the road, and these two on two different sides of the road.
I noticed it and it was a really nice touch.
One of the best endings. Though they shouldn't have cut the scene like that. They both were adorable😍
Yeah we all wait for that to happen, and it lasts about 1 second on screen.
@@TheChickenlittle11 ikr :(
perhaps the actors weren’t comfortable actually making a kissing scene? maybe keys actor didn’t really want to/ his partner (i don’t know if he has one) might be uncomfortable with it?
idk, just maybe
Personally I thought the cut was perfect, but I can understand completely. Although they did borrow so much from Paperman (the Disney short), both the musical score and the structure of the final scene. In Paperman, they also cut right as the two love interests are standing across from each other, leaving the viewer on a high note with the exhilarating promise of the future...
I mean he kissed a girl on stranger things they are actors if they can't fake kiss people they definitely shouldn't be actors
What could be more beautiful than two people falling in love? Oh yeah, when someone writes an algorithm as a love letter. That's just too beautiful.
Best movie i've ever seen for the last 3 years of my life..man, when the movie ended, i didn't know how to feel, cry or smile, sad or happy, truly fantastic.

All the above! I was so shocked at how great this movie turned out! I’d put it in my top 10 of most re-watchable movies ever! 👏🏼 👍🏼
The chemistry between millie and keys in the whole movie...
Dayum💘💘🔥
1:41 - 1:42 That gasp of realization is the most touching part of this whole movie.
At the beginning of the Film: "oh wow, Steve's Not only a single-mom anymore, now he's a single-working-mom." In the end "aaaawwee not a single-mom anymore"
In that moment we realize all the events that take place because of Guy's spontaneous awakening, all happened because of Keys' love for Millie.
To all the guys in the friendzone. We should all be able to hire Ryan Reynolds to act out our love letters. I'm sure their would be a lot less of us
Darn it the paperman music is making me teary 😭. It is my favourite Disney short and I can’t believe they reused the music
Well the composer was the same on both Ithat make you Feel any better
What's the name of that instrumental?
@@GeekCredTrivia paperman
@Benedict D’Souza From the Avengers Endgae to Star Wars references, I was like, “Damn, those are significant song scores to request! Must have cost $$$” Then I read that Disney now owns all those franchises and so it was easy to use the music. Guess it makes sense that this movie (made by Disney) could use Paperman. Good catch! I knew it felt familiar in a tear-jerking way 😭😭😭
ikr sounds like familiar and then I remember, this ending just unlock my childhood memory
I'm IN LOVE with the parallels of Millie wearing a white shirt and Keys is wearing a blue shirt with his glasses tucked in his chest pocket. 😌 Then they passionately kiss.
Every detail in this movie is complex and I am living for it.
Seeing the final scene out of context, you can totally see Joe Keery and Jodie Comer as Pete and Gwen in an alternate Marvel universe.
Honestly true😭
As a huge fan of the Andrew and Emma Peter and Gwen, I can actually see this too 😮
This has got to be one of the most best well written movies I’ve ever seen that most Hollywood movies nowadays don’t have!
I love that quote.
" I'm just a love letter to you. Somewhere out there is the author."
Blue Shirt Guy was Keys all along!
Remember the interview scene? Keys talked about 1s and 0s
Some people have their own little Paper Airplanes that brings two love birds together.
In this case, Guy is their Paper Airplanes
I'll admit, free guy was a much better movie then i thought it was gonna be. And this scene, THIS SCENE was absolute heart throb, tear jerker moment. God, this was so clever and lovely.
Jodie Comer's eye acting is so amazing and believable. such a great and beautiful movie
Dude found the old lady's cats - that's beautiful. It's one of those help out some npc for nothing side quests most players skip, but the real reward from doing them is being a good guy! Being a human being. Free guy was fantastic, funny and full of emotion!
But the lady has like 99 cats or so. It's seen with the glasses' view as an in-game mission some time during the movie.
This one scene alone took this from being a good movie, to being a great movie.
I swear, Paperman is the best love song for me. It’s silent with no words, and yet has the uplifting sensation that made me cry during this scene. I thought everyone basically forgot the amazing short film, and I literally can’t describe the goosebump feeling I got when they kissed. Free Guy is a top 10 movie for me 100%
I love how that final frame of the two of them echoes the final Paperman frame :)
This scene is amazing. it takes the entire movie to the next level. I watched this dumb/fun flick on a airplane and I was just streaming tears. Then I watched it again, same result.
At 1:35 the epiphany dawns on her and Molotov Girl and then Keys have the same reaction. The gears spin and the facts line up and POW at 1:39 her lips start to close! And the gasp that starts at 1:41 transitions from VR to IRL. Her acting as both characters is so on point. And they do make a cute couple. But Keys deserved an on screen liplock.
Same! I did not expect to cry on the airplane watching it
I watched this on the airplane too…. Best movie i have seen in the last few years
@@randysvids4774 Dangit. A year later and it still gets me.😢

*"BEAUTIFUL and UNEXPECTING"* ❤️ ending... Lovely 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I am a grown man partially crying in a theater watching this 😢. No, I'm not crying...
When she calls him "Keys!" and then they kissed 👏
I love them from the whole beginning, it's a little cliché but the most of times, I love good friends being lovers at the end ^^
It may be cliché, but here it was perfectly executed.
Naah it was perfect here . When they constant nag each other throughout the movie that's cliche for me. But here both are passionate about their work and dreams , and that's how they end up together ❤
WOW! This whole scene was great and I remember watching it in the theater and being absolutely blown away at how well it worked!
"I'm just a love letter to you, and somewhere out there is the author."
Plus, the Paperman music...wow!
Probably one of the, if not the most romantic and smoothest love lines in cinematic history!! Not only that but Keys is wearing a blue shirt in the end, well played!!
This is literally the redeeming moment of the whole movie for me. The movie was pretty fine for me most of the way but this part is so cute and done so well
Yeah me too because I watched an epic movie that I can give 10/10 thats much like this movie, and that movie is ready player one
How did this movie turn out to be this good? It’s unreal how well done, funny, and touching it turned out to be.
Forreal. The biggest surprise flick of 2021, if you ask me. I had no idea what to expect going in, and ended up having WAY more fun than I thought I would.
I didn't expect to cry in this movie. Didn't think it would be a love story. Just thought it was a comedy and fun adventure movie, so this really hurt me in a way that it's so beautiful and touching. I love this movie. Even the song brought back memories of Paperman that was 10 years ago.
“I’m just a love letter to you!” Damnnn! That just hit me right in the feels man! I honestly did not expect that! What an ending!
PS: I need serious help because I watch this scene 5 times a day or more and it’s so unhealthy lol 🤣🤣
It's right up there with the ending from the movie "Homeward Bound" the first one
I wasn’t expecting this because I was overwhelmed by all the great amazing stuff and this made me cry in front of everyone
Such a great twist
Just finished watching the movie! Man that line “I’m just a love letter to you. And somewhere out there is the author.” perfect, best line of the movie. I didn't cry but man am I happy and smiling.
I've replayed this line over ten times now.
Best happy ending I ever seen
Glad to see that Steve finally found his dream girl
I loved this scene and I cried tears of happiness! Such a perfect way to end this movie! 🥺However…
This scene also gave me anxiety! In the game, many times someone got hit by a car, so I somehow genuinely feared that Keys was going to get hit by a car! I couldn’t really enjoy this scene the first time around because I was so scared 😭😭
Yeah i felt the same too even in the next scene when guy and his buddy walk across the road to hug.
I loved that little nuisanced reaction when she realized her true love was in front of her the whole time
I legit, just now, burst into tears at this scene when watching the movie.
Cant believe it got me as good as it did
Paperman was the perfect song to use here.
Beautiful wingman moment right there.
This film was just fantastic, for such a goofy premise it is way better than it has any business being… just wow. Life doesn’t have to be something that just happens to us.
The way life just paused between them and time stood still as they shared a thousand words in their gazes while people and cars were moving, god that’s just MAGIC 😍😍😍
I love how in the past Millie has probably not thought keys was an option because he became awkward and quiet when people asked what their relationship was, but he ended up being one of the most romantic male characters I've ever seen!!
Just thinking about all the years that he spent building free life with her and trying to tell her but she never gets it. Then he writes it in 0s and 1s because words let him down.
Antawan, who is the symbol for greed and modern societal views on money and fame took their game and keys code (ie his way of loving millie), but he loved her so much that his remaining algorithm still found a way to fall in love again.
This scene had me sobbing
Back when I saw this in the cinema...still can't fathom a game movie made me shed a tear of happiness
I just watched this movie yesterday and this scene is really my favorite. Applause for the writer! 👏👏👏
Everyone at my school when they see keys at the ending: OMAGAD KEYYYYYSSSSSSSSSS WAAAAAAA ❤
Who else noticed that the actors behind Keith in front of the coffee shop appear twice!?
I thought I was only one who got emotional here.
I rewinded this scene few times
It was just so beautiful.
This movie and Adam.project we're just so good.
1:40 to 1:46That expression of realisation was just too good and emotional.
Idk why but this made me cry
Keys made his own greatest wingman.
I was secretly hoping Millie would realise Keys is the one for her since their interview scene. Glad to be proven right!
I had to watch it again to realise that Key's feelings for Millie were stronger than that of friendship.
If you rewatch the movie then you will noticed all the things Key said points for this... he have been dropping clues all over the place and we didn't realised it until Guy say this... what a show.
I like how guy is looking up the entire time through her screen after..love this movie...
God they gotta cast Joe Keery in more movies, he's unbelievably charming. 😍
There are so many little details I love from this scene. There's Guy's revelation to Millie, of course, but I also love how we get to see the moment of realization hit her both in an out of character.
And I love how Keys and Millie communicate wordlessly across a street. It's all conveyed in two nods, a sideways look, and the facial expressions. The music helps contribute to that, all the more so because it's from Paperman, a short film (and love story) with no dialogue.
Finally, there's the fact that the scene cuts one frame before they kiss. I'm trying to figure out how to explain why I think that was the perfect choice. Maybe it's because it symbolizes that they have a future ahead of them? Not quite, but I think that gets the idea.
Keys was even wearing a blue shirt when she went after him
Shout out to the Paperman soundtrack. That short film is fantastic.
To every programmers out there, looks like you guys found a great way to write a love letter.
Also remember during the interview, Keys said how words can't be trusted but 1s and 0s can?
His 1s and 0s got him the girl of his dreams
Great ending so hardwarming and never expected it.
This scene makes the movie perfect.
imagine someone making a videogame as a love letter to you🥺
I love this scene so much!!!! And the song at the ending gives me Start Up vibe LOVE ITT
Mouser going “Finally!” Made that scene even better 🙌🏻
the moment was definitely touching, but that reaction made me LOL
“I’m just a love letter to you. And somewhere out there is the author.”

Dustin would be proud❤️
The first time I actually cried of happiness, was watching this scene.
This is just so well written...like...I don't even have words to explain, because this is just amazing
The level of ability there to not say anything but convey the situation perfectly. A+ casting choices.
Every time I watch a really good movie, I always think that it will be my new favorite. But every movie I've ever watched after this one, and before this one, I never thought was better. This is definitely my favorite movie.
I think it's so cool how things turned out. Keys left so many little things in the original program and then of course Antwan changed all the character skins and stuff, and then Keys never went into programming again but then it was fun that you could see remnants of the original program in Free City.
My favourite little parallels:
1. Guy saying he's not good with words and Key saying he prefers 0s and 1s over words.
2. Guy has a goldfish in a bowl while Key called the game they made essentially a goldfish bowl world.
3. Guy has Buddy the security guard and Keys has his buddy in the office who kind of protects game law.
4. Guy saying he's a love letter while Keys said he always considered himself more of an author.
Imagine if Keys had never left a smidgen of himself in the original, would there be this wonderful story?
Agree~ best love line ever, Every one in the theatre was touched by this line and moment~ i can heard guys and girl express their emotion
I love the Paperman music they use it here!! 😭❤ Such a good movie. That plot twist though, they executed it perfectly! 😍
