@imao ded he was available, it was filmed during the dispute with WB that resulted in them saying he was no longer going to be playing Superman. He and his camp wanted to sign a new contract, WB wanted to downsize his presence and make him a bit player in other DC movies and have his pay reflect that new status.

Freddy Freeman is lucky to have such a loyal & compassionate crew. Those kids are badass.
This one scene brought me more joy than I’ve gotten from entire super hero movies in years. This is the kinds of things super heroes should be shown doing. World ending cataclysms are cool but friendly neighborhood superheroes helping the little guy will always pull at my heart strings.

Honestly this is one of the most "Superman" moments the DCEU ever had. He would absolutely make time to stop by a kid's lunch time to hang out for a bit, and he'd love every moment. There aren't enough moments in big superhero movies where the heroes actually stop to smell the roses a bit. Shame Supes couldn't be this way for his own movies.
And that’s the issue with Zack Snyder, the true and beloved versions of the characters don’t interest him it’s the else worlds versions. That’s why Superman is based off of Injustuce, Lex is based off of Earth-One and Batman is based off of TDKR and Earth-Two

This is pretty in character for Superman. He took his entire day just to try to convince a woman that life was still worth living and that suicide isn't the answer, of course he would help a disabled foster kid who's being bullied. Superman isn't a hero just because he fights the bad guys, he is a hero because he helps the people in any way he can.

Awesome! I was that kid in school too and this scene was absolutely satisfying! I really hate how we tend to gravitate with the cooler kids and leave everyone else behind. @@r0bw00d a business suit is a costume for everyday life. The term super suit has been used in comics (Batsuit) and movies (Incredibles) for a long time.
I tend to look at it as a costume has no functionality other than as a costume/disguise (Superman) and a super suite is something designed with functionality in mind an example (Batman); to be honest the term suit, uniform, costume, disguise have all been used in comics.
In relevance to the story, this is one of the best endings to a superhero film that is not only underrated, but perfectly planned.

Release this movie in the same month of Endgame was their mistake. This movie would hit 1 billion easy for 2 things: 1- Its a DC movie. 2- Its a good DC movie, this is the best marketing, so people would watch it like: "It is finally a good DC movie? I'll watch it."

I think more people wouldn't have minded the "headless cameo" if the filmmakers at least had Henry Cavill record a quick line to be dubbed in later like "is this seat taken?"
The fact that it's not Cavill is the joke. That's why they weren't more subtle about not showing his face.

There's no line for the same reason you don't see his face. It's not a bad directing choice, it's just that WB and Henry Cavill are having issues regarding his contract.
