Fixing code P0128 on Mom's 2012 Dodge Journey 3.6 v6 | Thermostat Replacement

A simple diagnose and repair for code P0128 on a Dodge Journey with the 3.6 liter v6 engine. I replaced the thermostat with a Dorman unit I bought on the Amazon website. This process might work with any FCA vehicle (Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram) that has the 3.6 liter v6.

First commenter! Question: do you think an electric ratchet wrench would make it easier to loosen the bolts on the thermostat? Ive been debating if I should get an electric ratchet wrench!

Fist off, thanks for watching and for commenting! I appreciate it VERY MUCH!! For this job, I think an electric ratchet would work fine for the top bolt. The bottom bolt though... I don't think there's enough room (on this vehicle anyway). Having said all that, I have an electric ratchet and use it as much as possible (I have some nerve damage in my hand that can be quite painful spinning wrenches).🙂
