- Beechworth Asylum, or Mayday Hills Asylum, is often associated with tales of paranormal activity and ghosts. Many ghost stories and alleged encounters have contributed to its reputation as a haunted location.

I live about 50min drive from Beechworth been up to maydayhills many time in my teens beautiful building,back then it was still open and people were still there,my girlfriends mother &father worked ther for many years and told some interesting storys about the place!!😊

Hi Alison & Kag. @ 33:33 you can see an orb fly out from Paul's jacket or sleeve and rapidly goes across his hand. Then Paul reacts and jerks his head up rather quickly as if he felt the orb pass over or through his hand. That was so cool and I'm wandering did Paul mention it later on? Also Alison, who kicks more things over with their feet, you or Dave from PQ? 😂 I enjoyed the episode and gave it a THUMBS UP.
I did see Paul move his head suddenly and realised he never said why when I was editing. Next time we go there and have him as our guide, I will have to ask him. And as for Dave and me... I think we are matched lol. I am to Kag what Dave is to Ryan 😂👻

I loved this one ladies, even if it is from awhile . This place was amazing! And Paul was great! He knows bith the location and how to investifate. You can tell from the way ge refused to go in the bathroom to investigate, ge wasn't sensationaling. He talked to spirits as respectfully as you do.
I hope Paul still works with paranormal groups.
I also hope you can go back there sometime. And I think you should take PQ next time they come back. 💙

Very eerie watching you in the basement by yourself Alison. I have been in Grivillea and heard shuffling thinking it was someone wearing slippers behind me- did not know about the camisoles!

I don't know that the toy set the lights off. I believe my grandsons had one just like it, or very close to it.
They were far younger than the boys he was talking about, so you might have been getting some interaction with some little ones. 🥺
We got this one after the Sallie House which had the same one that went off. We have only had it go off twice since getting it. At this place (not filmed) and also Whispers Estate in the U.S.A. (episode yet to come). So it doesn't trigger very often which makes it more intriguing when it does.

I has a question.
The whole darn world has been active recently as far as earthquakes, volcanoes, etc.
Do you think any of the activity can produce EMF?
For example, if there was any movement far underground that you can't actually feel, could it still be emitting energy? And would that energy be able to trigger the devices?

I probably didn't word that very well, I'm sorry. I know tectonic movement produces friction and such. I don't know if that's the same energy that your devices detect.
It is an interesting question, and I did a blog once. It should still be up on my old research site Paranormal Field Investigators. I did one on infrasound and earthquakes as I was in one once, while in the Old Adelaide Gaol. It was an interesting night leading up to the actuall quake. Didn't have any equipment unfortunately out. Would have been more interesting to see what happened.

I have another question, not paranormal related.
How far underground are things in Australia?
I know parts of the US here they can't dig basements, or have underground burials, because they'd hit water level. IE - New Orleans.
Basements aren't really a thing here. Older houses from 1800s have a few, but not many houses in South Australia have basements. The city has underground carparks and there are tunnels under it which are service tunnels but that is about it.

Just had chat with a mate he see I was watching you ladies and told me about his experience with his ring door bell he was charging his door bell and his phone was going off all night when he looked back he found his door bell had picked up orbs all over the living room and a couple of shadows and voices have you ever used one for investigations
We haven't but we have heard people occasionally pick some interesting stuff up on them.
I don't think it was a good idea to have the staff do este method, needs to be a neutral party.

Again, these aren't meant to be hardened investigations, I did that for many, many years and walked away jaded with it all. These videos are more just Kag and me, as middle-age besties enjoying our travels and bringing these places to people so they can go and do their own stuff. Many people won't ever get to travel and why I like to have a tour and get the history with a short investigation. We fall over, we fall asleep, we sing... and we laugh. In all honesty we have no idea why anybody would watch us, that is the biggest mystery!
We like to invite our hosts to join us, as they bring more interest to the episode. Usually, they aren't allowed to investigate with groups when a place is being hired. Paul had never done the Estes before, so we were letting him have a try. Not much came out of it anyway. We also like them with us, as they know the history and can fill us in if we get anything. The other reason we invite them to join us, is because we go in as strangers, but often leave as really good friends, and you can't have enough of those in this world.
Hopefully, that explains why it isn't done under strict conditions. 😊
Of course a spirit has to call you ladies an unflattering name!😂 Nothing new is it? Bathrooms are traumatizing for sure, you are always in a vulnerable state in one.
