The best tutorial to start using 3DCoat in your art right away. Thank you a lot!
this removes all 10 years of frustration on 3d modeling
Thank you so much for the video! I've been a zbrush user for years and wanted to learn 3dcoat and could never make the jump. Really appreciate you making this.
Great tutorial! I’m just getting into 3Dcoat and this really helps. Thanks for posting!
Most awaited video for the concept artists !!! Going straight to my IMP folder ;), thankyou so much !

@@ArtofJoseVega De verdad que se agradecen estos tutoriales.
That voxhide trick is pretty nice!
Really thank you for this useful tutorial !
Im glad it helps!
I use Zbrush and c4d but now blender.I got 3d coat but the sculpting always felt weird until I watched your video and learned the simple to follow workflow.thank you for this x
Brutal, gracias por los tips! hace tiempo que deje de usar 3dcoat y ahora estoy catching up con la version 2021
ahh nice.... yo tengo q probarlo a ver!!!!
@@ArtofJoseVega Hay que hacer upgrade pero vale la pena, el Polygon modeling nada mas es priceless.
@@moxstudios ooo polygon modeling???? that sounds promising!
7 AM video was peaceful. See if I get into 3D coating in the near future.
Thank you!!!!
yeah ..... I want to use 3D coat limited / for blocking out for concepts only -> then onto blender.. your video was great and super helpful for a 3DCoat noob like me...
Thanks!!.. hope you do more in the future :)
I believe 3D Coat has some type of voxel to some other mode to get UVs that I’ve seen before. It’s a back and forth workflow to add in details between a high and low resolution of two models. Wish I could see someone figure this out towards a finished asset that’s painted and low geo ready.
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the video, - but if I did retopology in another editor and made a large pothole on the highpoly-model, can I automatically lower the retopology on the pothole in 3d-coat?
great tutorial
whats the name of the music in the beginning of your video?
Just bought 3DC 2021 when it was released, would you say this video is a good introduction to the software?
thats an old version! 3d coat 2021 is now out and looks way better! show 3d coat 2021 please. and tuts on it would be awesome
I will try. Thanks
@@ArtofJoseVega awesome!
Yeah I can't find "vox hide" brush, cant make the same thing as in the video
I will try someday 3coat :)
which better 3d coat or blender
can I scale it without up the voxel and surface count??
Really great tutorial, this was really helpful thank you! :)
A would like to ask if you could make a little tutorial about stencil creation in Photoshop (e.g. resolution, greyscale usage, ideal file format).
I got this problem that my own stencils are leave a kind of uneven, torn edge around the form.
I will make that happen! the edges issue usually is because there isnt enough geometry or it is too detailed maybe.
thank you! and yes! i will!
Me: *knows absolutely nothing about 3d modelling*
Jose Vega: *releases an advanced tutorial on a very specific application*
Me: Ahh, finally! The video I've been waiting for!
How do we EXPORT our model?
can you make a video on how to create stencils in photoshop
This is great! Hope to see more 3dcoat content soon! Or you switched to Blender?
More content soon. I have been just busy with a lot of life stuff, but moving to a new studio soon and will be creating content. I still use 3d coat and blender
un excelente tutorial, intengo usar pose como explicas pero solo me coge una cara de todos los lados de mi cuadrado y no sé por qué :C
si le das a la "e" te sale una opcion de "ignore back faces" asegurate q este off
Nice, it would be cool to explain how to UV unwrap this object in order to be send to any game engine?
How can I get a copy or buy this 3DCoat Basics for Concept Art HD youtube from you. Gumroad Or Artstation
the posing doens't select the whole mesh but just 1 face for me????
Plane Voxel tool didn't work for me
jose, can u help me, the tools that u said "pose" is "transpose" in my 3d coat, and i cant select the whole object but just only 1 face, can u help me?
press "e"... make sure ignore back faces is off.... maybe thats it
what about stencils on curved surface?
there should be an option in the stencil options to do it in curve objects or.... use the radial symmetry
This doesn't seem to work in version 2021 with the rectangle selection... Does it work for you?
oh... hmmm i have not tried version 2021 yet. :(
What is that texture you are using, is it custom or a smart material.
is just one from the default textures inside 3d coat
Hi, good video but is sad than all3DCoat teacher don't speak about modeling tools and dont works sculpting with precision sizes and positions.
Jose can you pls continue this amazing series in 3d coat . there is not a lot of information available for it online :(
I will do what I can! :D Thank you!
@@ArtofJoseVega thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for the tutorial. Would you recommend 3DCoat over Blender for beginner artists, who want to use 3D to enhance their 2D art (getting the perspective and lighting right and also looking for interesting angles and shots)?
I would use blender for the overall process of it... i only use 3d coat for sculpting. blender is a bit more user friendly i think to start up and do all 3d things.
How on earth did you select the whole thing in 48:11? For me its just selecting the visible part, the visible surface, not the whole object :/
on your "E" options there is an option for "ignore back faces"..... make sure thats off.
47:00 very important tip
Man Unreal 5 use Nanites. You can use this model without retopo/bake in Engine. Just make UV and go.
I'd like to see this in a tutorial :-)
pose dont work very well with retangle =[
Most hectik tutorial
I don' t understand why people say that 3d coat is easy to learn than zbrush. seriously.
This is the second most frightening software after houdini in terms of complexity.
