Breaking the LAND SPEED RECORD in Poly Bridge 2! 50k Subscriber Special!

- It's my 50,000 subscriber special and this time I thought I'd move away from building bridges for a change and try and become a record breaker! I attempt the break the land speed record in Poly Bridge 2, building the fastest vehicle in the game ever created!
This video marks 50,000 subscribers, which I still cannot quite believe is true. I didn't really say it in the video but I am insanely grateful for your support and for pushing me to create better content. I am absolutely loving this new hobby, and your comments and likes really lift me up and make me want to go bigger and better in every video. Hey man, I'd like to say, I started off with 0 subs. 1 sub and I got 1/0 which is a huge percentage increase. Maybe when I got from 1 sub to 10 subs, my sub count also increased tenfold, even though only added 9 was added. Nothing wrong, just saying maybe you could have added the number increased for greater emphasise and less loopholeness

20:00 the mechanical shock from the limo took the whole structure off the ground. That was the coolest as you could see the wave going through the big train.

1: I think lowering the horsepower may actually make the limo better, considering it only affects climbing from what I know, and it should help the wheeling a bit
2: Why didn't you mess with gearing? Have the monster trucks inside, connected to a larger wheel, should help with increasing speed (100->100*ratio), and help with the breaking (which I know will be fixed later, but who got time for that?)
I agree, the trucks inside the wheel would be better, but he is already using gearing, that's why he kept making the wheels bigger
@@pabloruiz-tagle5399 I think they meant another ratio to avoid the road near the truck from moving to fast and breaking ie: Truck->road speed < break speed --> ratio to road->ground >> breaking speed (and won't break since there is no vehicle nearby).

I'd also suggest using three connecting rods rather than two. With only two rods that are at left dead center and right dead center, the rods will provide essentially no useful coupling. My inclination would be a vehicle with two large vehicles on the ground, and a small wheel between them with a vehicle on it, all connected via connecting rods at the same radii.

Did you consider running a road along the top of the “train” and running the limo along that? Not sure if the game physics, but in theory would go super fast (“caterpillar” mode if you stack multiple on top of each other).

you could try to make the vehicles max speed just below the road break speed and use a gear ratio to make the road contacting the ground faster. It wouldn't accelerate as fast, but it could make a higher top speed

@@nevanada2961 he could do the same and force the car into the wheel. This way he won't go through the wheel. If all else fails, he could turn the car upside down and push the car up the wheel from inside using springs.

After you adjusted the shocks to keep the limo from doing a wheelie you should have checked if that made the sports car faster. That change may have negated the need for the longer wheel based vehicle.

Drink every time real civil engineer says carnage
As a bit of a thought, could you do a reduction gear system for the wheels? Have the trucks push a big wheel that itself turns a smaller wheel that pushes the car along? Might help keep the trucks from breaking through the road.

20:30 Make a larger wheel around that wheel and connect them. Then the speed of the road in contact with the vehicle can stay lower than the speed of the road in contact with the ground, allowing a higher top speed before it breaks due to that limitation. (unless if the speed is absolute, not relative).
You would have a great time of playing "From the Depths" it is a block based ship building game.

I'm suprised you didn't create a bigger wheel arround the small wheels so that the "movment transmition"(sry if this is not the actual term I'm not a native English speaker but I'm sure you will understand what I mean) is more than 1:1 as you have in the video. Btw congrats on 50 k I subscribed long ago when you had a bit more than 200 subs.
It's acceptable, but I think in English it's all "gear ratio" even if it's not gears, except the thing we use for it is a transmition .
It's literally the concept the word "transmission" is trying to convey. Transmitting work done from a source (typically some sort of prime mover) to a destination.
