    • @NHSSkateDirect
      @NHSSkateDirect  Před 3 lety

      We don't currently make any decks with extra steep concave. There is a SC shape that is symmetrical that Maurio McCoy and Fabiana Delfino use sometimes. It is 8.25 x 31.83 and has the same length nose and tails. Checkout McCoy Afterglow, Transcend, or Flamingo decks or Delfino Ego or Fortune teller and make sure it's that 8.25 x 31.83 (NOT 31.8). Hope that helps! Ron

      It comes with 1/4 risers. 1/4in = 6.35mm so it's like riding 53/54mm wheels without risers. I had no issues with wheelbites. Always good to be a little careful at first with new trucks/cushions but they broke in super quick.

    • @NHSSkateDirect
      @NHSSkateDirect  Před 2 lety +1

      I'll work on more trick tips. Making a 'how to slappy' one right now.
      I will say this on 180s. There's 2 ways you can do them.
      You can start turning the board before you pop, using the tail to start it turning and almost making it skip like a shove it and then follow the board with your feet.
      Or
      You do a straight ollie and really focus on making sure the board sticks to your feet, then you can turn it in the air.
      Also, you can always land with your foot on the nose and turn it all the way 180 after you land.
      like many skate tricks, there's many different ways to do it.
      I've always liked the feeling of popping a nice straight ollie and turning it almost on the way back down. Then you can 180 as high as you ollie straight.
      Hope that helps!

      Ill tell you now. I just got a Santa Cruz Salba Tiger deck. I just got it for cruising and exercise. I got 215 Indy trucks, clear tape, Bones Swiss six bearings. And Powell Peralata Byron Essert wheels. Now I got the wheels for a fast cruise, and to go over pebbles with ease. They are 72mm, 75 a. They are fast as shit. Really, the board scares me, Lol. But the wheels are longboard wheels. So, my board looks like a 4x4. Its so high. Im 6ft 3. And have to be careful whe Ii kick. I have half inch risers on it. I ordered 1/8 risers to see if that helps some. If not, I will have to get some smaller wheels. Lol

    • @NHSSkateDirect
      @NHSSkateDirect  Před 2 lety +2

      I wouldn't go much bigger than what it comes with: 60mm.
      Maybe 61/62... but wheel biting with soft cruzer wheels can be harsh. They grab more than harder wheels.

    • @NHSSkateDirect

      I've never ridden a Tugboat so I can't say. Also, it depends on what kind of skating you want to do on it. I did see there's Tugboats with reverse kingpin trucks as well as regular truck versions. Reverse trucks turn super quick so those ones will be super turny and carve great but regular trucks will be better for higher speeds and downhill. Personally, I'd go with Santa Cruz because I know the shape and parts are great for tricks as well as cruising.

  • @justinmusicandskateboardin9282
