I personally don't feel that it's a capitulation. I didn't see a title winning side this season. The team has over achieved all season. I have said for months that we're not good enough to win the prem.
True. A mark of a winning side is being able to break down the opposition with passing play and possesion. Liverpool have had a lot of luck in many matches. They haven't really been able to combine all season. They just seem to create chances out of the blue

Me too. I said from the start that Arsenal is gonna win it and I sincerely hope they do because they were so close last year and their performances this season has been sensational. We're back in the Champions League and have won a Cup. It's a good season IMO but the manner in which we are going to be left hanging once Klopp leaves is quite worrisome.

Apparently, he didn't put Danns on because it was to much of a game to put kids on. So he left the under achievers on instead.
We have had a good season with a pretty medicore team. Top four is a huge result with this group of players. Owners dont buy enough it is so simple.

Craig, Mac Allister and Endo are both exhausted, they haven't been their solid selves for a couple of matches now. They need to be rotated as a 6 cause Endo doesn't have a backup there. None of the two would have had a significant impact even if Macca was pushed to 8 and Endo was covering as a defensive midfielder.
Gakpo and Jota's absence was a massive blow to the cohesion and effectiveness of the team. Gravenberch could arguably have started, but I doubt he would have been a game changer yesterday.
I know it's heartbreaking and enraging to watch them fail right before the finish line, but give the team and Klopp some grace. For the vast majority of the season, they've been magical to watch. They are all human, too.

I think Klopp started using him wrong (as a workhorse). He needs more freedom on the pitch to thrive with his creativity and technique. Maybe the next manager will recognize that and give him an opportunity to showcase his true talent.

The revamp of the squad has to start in conjunction with the appointment of the new coach.Players from the Klopp era would have to be gradually replaced by new and younger recruits namely Ousmande Diomande, Alan Varela, Luis Guilherme.
Its expected Craig...a few games back I did say some of the players had clearly shown they have no more interest to play for Liverpool. Players like Diaz, Nunez and Salah will want to leave the club. As for all the talk from the players that they want to give Klopp a grand send off, dont take us for fools. There is no such thing as a grand send off. Even in the commercial world, the minute you tender in your resignation, nobody bothers about you anymore. This is the real world. I suspect there are other players that may also leave like Trent, VVD and even Allison. Lets hope Liverpool can raise a big sum of money from the sale of these players for the new manager to sign good top rated players. When first team players returned in month of April , we played badly with losing matches consecutively .
We first team players injuries in January, our younger players played consecutively winning matches even bring the only cup trophy. Better let the younger players to play the remaining 5 matches . I prefer to see hungry Liverpool team rather than Aging team đ

It's a shame that Klopp's reign has ended with a whimper rather than a roar, but this is typical of what happens when a manager is on his way out. Klopp's departure shouldn't have been announced until the end of the season, in retrospect the early announcement was a big mistake, for no benefit. Look forward to next season and a reset.
Klopp had a good era at Liverpool and will probably be one of the most memorable ones in the coming decades, but it's time for him to go. Too much poor decision making and team sheets, not enough fight and killer instinct like he had back in the day. He had so much passion, but now it just looks like he's given up and so do the players. Darwin Nunez will always be one of the worst signings the club has made, can't score anything. Just think if he was clinical, we would probably still have a potential treble incoming. Don't blame it on Salah, remember he was in that trio with Mane and Firmino, those were his best years because the supply around him was good so it brushed off on him aswell, now look at the players around him, I genuinely feel sorry for him in a way. And yeah Henderson was more of a captain and the team looked like it had more belief back then, Van Dijk just moans too much and tries pointing blame elsewhere when Liverpool concede. That ain't the qualities of a captain. And Klopp smirking whenever Liverpool concede is the quality of a manager whose given up. Farewell Klopp, there were good times but also loads of bad times like now, just sad his era ended at a bad time like it is now.

My starting XI at the moment; Allison, (defence:) Van Dijk, Quansah, Gomez, Robertson (mid:) Endo, Gravenbirch, Mcallister, Alexander Arnold (attack) Jota, Gakpo.
This way, Trent wouldn't be exposing the defence and would create more chances for the attack. Gakpo behind Jota (or Salah, with mo getting more chances from Trent and Mcallister, who would be attacking mid, while endo plays as holding mid). Quansah brought back in at CB for the time being. He and Van Dijk worked well together for a while, and he only made one mistake (against Man Utd) and got dropped. None of this is rocket science. Although I think we need a few additions to the squad next year, I still don't think we're that far off. We just need some fresh ideas and a change of direction.
At this point I'm just worrying about getting into Champions league next season, we look THAT bad, all of a sudden. Definitely no open bus parade, embarrassing.
Craig, if anyones to blame, it's the owners for penny pinching in transfer market, buying low quality players. Klopp done his best with what is there.. Maybe a miracle is still there. :)

A day later and iâm still pissed off at Klopp for his favouritism towards trash players. Gravenberch played one of his best game in years against Fullham and his reward is to sit on the bench and watch 3 defensive subs come on while we are 2-0 down.
Diaz was good at the right but Klopp plays Salah who isnât good enough anymore. Nunez canât score to save his life but is being played above Danns who is clearly hungry for a starter. Because Klopp wants to play Dominic and Curtis he needs te play Mac-Allister as a 6 which is not his strong position and Endo has to sit on the bench. Just embarrassing and shocking decision makingâŠ

I blame Klopp for Liverpool's end of the season meltdown. Liverpool has been slow start so many times this season. It reached a shocking level. However the head coach is unable to address the issue. It happened again and again. It is like totally out of control. Looking back, Liverpool should replace Klopp in January after he said he is out of gas. This pre mature announcement must cause turmoil inside dressing room. If you don't want to do it, find someone who really wants the job. It is so disappointing. It should not be like this.

Klopps time at Liverpool is characterised by missed chances. Missed chances to score, missed chances to win trophies. Almost, nearly. Yes, the PL title was important, but they haven't gone on. Don't get me wrong, he got us in the position where we had chances, but we nearly always didn't take them. Compare it to City, Madrid, Bayern.... It was the same at BvB. Very grateful to Klopp, but he should have gone instead of renewing and his decision to announce his departure in January turned out predictably badly.

I know we shouldve done better but the ref is the main reason we lost. That 1st goal came from a freekick that shouldnt be given and it changes everything because we were away and everton became a different team. Throughout the whole game the ref has blatantly been giving them set pieces on a plate which is what everton wanted from this game at the same it disrupted our play. Commentators were enjoying themselves too. Look how much talk and awareness that's been given for that Nottingham incident. Media and fans, but when it comes to liverpool it's dead silent. We all know what's going on, everything is been done for us to not win this title. Again we should be doing better in the 2nd half of season, but we lost the title because of the refs and pgmol and THAT is a battle we can never win, also our fixture times is very sus.
