I have to comment again because I just heard the Diaz take, and I cannot understand how you can say he doesnât want to do it for Liverpool anymore. Heâs been the shining light in the dark for these last couple of games. Come on man, I love you Craig but thatâs not right

100% agree. Craig is entitled to his opnion of course, but what he said about Lucho was IMO bang out of order. Diaz was the only one who actually gave a damn out there tonight and easily gets at least a 7 from me.

Bro that Diaz take is so unnecessarily salty & resentful, he has never said anything about Barcelona himself, yes his father has mentioned it, but it kinda is taken out of context when translated, and it means nothing. Also, Diaz has one of the lowest wages in the squad, even some youngsters earn just as much as him, yet, he always has that fighting spirit and attitude of not giving up. He is a player that fights for the team and not money driven, he probably would be earning even more at spurs but he chose us because he knows being a red is once in a Lifetime achievement.

As a Feyenoord fan, Arne Slot maybe doesnt has the reputation of a top coach, but he is amazing. I saw my team go from lousing our best player in steven berghuis for a measly 4 million euros to ajax and barely winning against clubs from the calibar of fc Drita, to winning a league title and playing amazing football. When he joined us I saw Ajax going to a CL semi final when we couldnt even beat semi-pro teams convincingly in europe, this season we smashed ajax 10-0 total in 2 games and they were lucky it wasnt higher. He will be a great fit and his press conference are very interested to listen to

Im sure Liverpool fans will see his style of play and down to earth attitude and will love him. The media in England has a big influence to cause tension in a football club, look at all the united managers over the last 10 years or with Arteta the out movement at Arsenal, but they never seem to have that same level of power over the Liverpool fans. Disappointing result, firstly the captain, Van Dijk there was no leadership, all i saw today and also in previous matches was complaining, all he does is complain without actually telling the players what they should be doing instead. Konate, horror story, i start shaking everytime he passes the ball around in the back. Robertson, Ok. Macallister, still had a little bit of fight even though he played out of position. I have no clue why klopp started this team over the one that played fulham. Gravenberch would've had ideas and plays. Jones, i dont know what he was trying. Salah, fell off like nobody else, still respect his history but i dont see why klopp didnt sub on elliot for him and gravenberch for sobo. Don"t talk rubbish mate. Diaz is very much appreciated by the Liverpool fan base. Look at the comments here, everyone is defending him here. Craig is just emotional and venting his frustration. As he himself said, he needed like 5 takes to do the video he was so angry.
Everybody realizes how well Diaz fought in the game. He is recognized by I think most fans as our most in form forward for the last month, although Gakpo seems to be coming around. It"s a damn shame that Jota is injured again. Gakpo on the left, Jota in center and Diaz on the right is a very interesting set up for me.
@@jonb3150 Diaz isn't a natural right winger tho, and it will not be his natural position. He is either a left wing or a second striker, which he plays a lot for Colombia.
And even if you're right, and DĂaz does feel the support, it still doesn't change the fact that there is no James Rodriguez to set him up, no Jhon Arias to roam around with up front, and no Daniel Muñoz for him to throw crosses towards at the back post. In the national team he is simply better supported, and has more options when getting near the box

It's not because I don't believe he plays well on the left, it is because I think he is the best right winger we have right now(with Salah still in slump form after injury and Salah probably leaving after the season).
2. Diaz plays where it is best for the club. This is not Diaz F.C. This is Liverpool F.C When Mane came to the club, his first year he played only on the right wing, as was his main position at Southampton before. When Salah came in a year later Mane was moved to the left and hence we had the Mane, Firmino, Salah trio. When Diaz came in, he immediately took the starting line up spot for the left wing and Mane was moved to the center. In all positions Mane played well. For me Diaz is a winger and effective on both sides.
3. I am sorry to break your ego, but Liverpool is pretty much better squad than Colombia national team. I believe the only player you have in a big club is Luis Diaz. So we are not going to build the team around Diaz in the same way as Colombia does. It is just not effective, just like Arsenal doesn't build the team around any single player. And you are wrong, he has much better support in terms of passing and in terms of getting ball across at Liverpool than anytime at Colombia team, simply because he is playing with much better players at Liverpool. Perhaps you are confused because while playing with Colombia he sometimes faces very weak opponents like Peru etc?

Diaz seems like the only one who wants to win the title. He has played more minutes recently than the whole team. I usually agree with most of your scores but this one is definitely off.
I think the Diaz rating is extremely harsh. What more can the guy do, other than the fact that he missed one half chanceâŠThe shot where he hit the post was created all by himself. With him you have Nunez who should think about playing another sport for a living. And Salah who balloons every shot into the sky or slices the ball every time, and yet somehow has the confidence to keep taking more and more of these outrageous shots.
How did Salah stay on the pitch for 90 minutes? He shouldn't of even started he has been awful since he come back from his injury. What has happened to Konate he has been awful lately too! The problem with our team and its almost every player apart from Alison is there is no consistency, some of the players can look great one week but they don't do it enough and that's why we have fallen short. Diaz is the only one who can hold his head high tonight. And Darwin Nunez needs to be sold! We will never win the league with him up front his finishing is absolutely shocking! No composure at all! Everton wanted it more than we did. The truth is, that with the exception of Diaz the rest looked as if they were afraid of Everton. Macca trying to get them to go down one man wasnât a good look. I was hoping that the Danns would come on.
But they deserved their win. And now we need to dust ourselves off and move on.

Dont think VVD was bad at all he's just getting the wrap because he's the captain but in all honesty the defenders around him were horrendous Konate and Robbo were so poor we left VVD to do too much. Only Trent, VVD and Diaz come away with credit for me. Diaz was our best player by a country mile how can this guy say Diaz has downed tools is ridiculous. Tsimikas needs to start ahead of Robertson from now, Robertsons end product is horrific.

We have punched well above our weight this season after losing our entire midfield last summer window. This was probably a rebuild season. That said, it seems as though we'll need to go through another rebuild phase with a new coach and probably new signings in all positions. We definitely need a (20+ goals a season) striker coming in to replace Salah. Konate has not kicked on as I hoped. Time for Jarell to step up. Robbo needs a better back-up. Gomez, Tsimikas probably will be sold. Midfield is okay but we need a class DMF. Endo ran out of gas. I'm happy to let Darwin go. Jota we need to manage better as he's injury prone.
Diaz is one of the lowest paid players on the team, but he is one of the players who is demanded the most.
I am a Liverpool supporter ( born Anfield 75 years ago ...watched them in former boys pen... ). However, Liverpool are not good enough to win the title and Everton showed this. In the end I was pleased Everton won and probably secured their Premier league place. Thank you so much Klopp...all good things come to an end.

Craig, if a group of such very talented Liverpool players, who are still playing for the PL title, lose 0-2 in a derby(!) while losing the title(!) and get player ratings in the range 2-5 (Allison excepted) then there is something serious going on in the team. Don't you agree? Now, instead of expressing your disappointment, anger and giving the players severe failing player ratings (i.e. Konate a 2, TWO), you could have tried to explain how this loss was possible. Why didn't you? - Also, giving a player rating of say a 3 or less, requires an explanation, really.
Itâs like theyâve all suddenly realised that theyâve hit their original target of a top 4 finish, will get whatever bonus for achieving that, and have checked out. All the leaked new manager stories havenât helped either. But Diaz was the only player who looked like he cared about the result. Allison isnât at his best since his return either.
I was beginning to think that when an Everton defender got in a bind in the 18-yard box, he had an option of passing the ball to Nunez. Nunez would either get his feet in a tangle or would shoot straight at Pickford. There was no danger that he'd actually score.
Now I feel I can relax a little: we have zero chance of winning the league, we're out of all competitions, and we are through to next year's Champion's League. Remember the joy at having a team of academy players who went out there and won impossible games? Remember the string of victories? Remember being two points clear at the top of the table and looking unstoppable? This squad CAN win games, it CAN compete, but after that 2-2 draw with United, we never recovered. It's time for a clear out: Salah, NĂșñez, Thiago, Jones, Tsimikas, Matip, AdriĂĄn, all need to go. Start playing Trent in midfield, get BajÄetiÄ back into the squad, take the captaincy away from van Dijk, bring in a proven striker and a right back, keep Endo in the holding position to free up Mac Allister, and we may be able to get back to where we were for the majority of this campaign. Time to look forward to the next season; this one is officially over.
Should've moved Salah central 2 years ago. How can he be a winger when he's lost the pace? Anyway, I think he has realized that either he goes off to Saudi for the money or can go to a PSG and win a few more trophies before leaving Europe. He knows this team isn't going to win against the competition of City and Arsenal, and we haven't won much since 2020. So many wasted seasons; few injuries and season is a throwaway. Who wants to come here now?
At this rate we'll ship Salah, Diaz, Nunez, and a whole bunch of others out. Unrealistic and makes no sense. Salah has been creating a lot of chances the whole season. Yes, he's dipped in form and is wasting chances. But the bigger problem is the rest. Salah is no longer effective as a winger, but is still a big threat as an attacker. He should be moved central, and Klopp seems to change absolutely nothing. Nunez needs to play on the last man with creativity through the middle. We have a mismatch of players and Klopp seems to be showing 0 tactical strength
Generous ratings. This is what happens to a team when the Manager says his leaving. I blame Klopp and The Leaders of the Club. Klopp should never been in charge once saying his leaving. Worst business decision ever in Liverpool; cost us the title.

Szobi was and has been for two months, woeful at best, he has gone from a 7/10 player to a 3/10 player, he was dreadful.

All the young men that came in and did well was put back on bench and under 21 and the old boys came straight back in the guys that need to signe onto to pip.!! They are slow, no movement = arthritis, forwards cant shoot ,cross ,pass 5 yards =catarax they should be on pip not playing for liverpool!! Nobody passed to him. When Szobo got it he didn't do too much wrong hence 6/10 is more realistic
Maybe it's fatigue and the injuries have caught up with us or the games against United were a crucial point to our season where we played well, but failed to convert chances and finish off the games and now they are all mentally exhausted. We lack a bit of quality for a title charge till the end as well, we give away too many chances to the opposition and we are extremely ineffective going forwards. I know we didn't play well tonight,again our forwards were wasteful. Salah, Nunez and Lucho had enough good chances to score at least two goals and sometimes you need to be clinical even when you are not playing that good if you want to be a great team and fight for titles.
At least Diaz was trying and didn't play that bad, but I'm not sure what happened to Nunez and Salah. They are so poor, can't control the ball, have almost no impact on the game and when they get chances they can't even hit the target. The midfield was almost non existent this game too, we were just passing sideways and backwards, and the defence shaky as usual. So sloppy in possession, Man City and Arsenal are so much better than us right now and we finally gave up. This is just our level at the moment.

First off, with Lucho Diaz, I think he was the best in the field. Yes, the whole team was bad but only Lucho was the one who tried to do something. Secondly, if anyone who is bummed out and unhappy and possibly wants to leave because Klopp's leaving, they should leave with him. Lastly for the forward I can recommend one player who is good and who is a Striker, he can play LW as well but he is prefered to played as a Striker because our team does not have any solid honest to God Striker. Yes we have Nunez and Gakpo but they are both LW. So the player I recommend is Semih Kılıçsoy. He is 18 strong and fast player and he can get himself to any position in any situation and he plays in BeĆiktaĆ, hence I am from Turkey and I support BeĆiktaĆ as well as Liverpool, we should look him up, it would make me really, really happy and I heard Aston Villa and M. City are keeping checks on him aswell.

The Salah misses were disgusting, the first was going 10 yards wide. No technique, absolutely dreadful. Darwin HAS to score his as well and Diaz missed the same opportunity as Darwin. Not good enough.

I agree with you đŻ on the ratings, but I think our major drawbacks have been our defensive lines, not knowing how to defend set pieces and track back with purpose when they have to defend. My temperature đĄïž grew astronomically throughout the match.
The players look tired mentally, klopp's departure had really gotten a toll on their energy levels and mentality in my opinion. With a new coach to rekindle the project once more, I bet all these players will be enlivened.

Children, realize that as long as the players don't fight for each other, only for themselves, there will never be a result, and this is partly the fault of the journalists and the fans.There are better strikers in the Hungarian league than in Liverpool, if these are world class and legends, then the strikers of the Hungarian national team came from outer space, because at least they kick the balls and they don't cost half as much.
There was an English fan who asked a while ago why Szobo excels in the Hungarian national team, but he doesn't in Liverpool, because they are not interested in winning, but in scoring the goal, if the jacket doesn't come together, our national team fights for each other. and for the Hungarians, not for themselves.

I think we have under estimated quite how much we have missed Matip this season.
His experience and ball carrying skills could have been priceless.

What exactly do you want from konate and vvd to be giving the 2 and 3. Thats almost as embarrasing as the loss. We played no cdm, the midfield was no existant, we have no player over 6 ft other then them on the pitch, the ref is clearly giving everything evertons way, trent is the one at fault for the second goal, everytime they pass the ball forward to push up the pitch the rrst of the team pass it straight back to them, there is nothing they can do, even id they keep a clean sheet we cant score. And how is elliott getting a 4. Overhit every pass and de jong for diaz no way.
