Not sure where you are in Florida, but The Pickleball Club plans to build multiple indoor clubs around Florida. First one should open in Sarasota in January 2023 and more locations in the works.

Looks great. What's the ceiling height? or recommended?
I would say it’s about 25-30 feet
Looks fantastic, although maybe a little tight. What kind of distance do they have from sidelines to fence and baseline to fence?
Some are tighter than others. It was an old gym so they used all the space they could!
I think They have a minimum of 8 feet
Varies. Some courts require me to modify or change my serve because the back swing grazes the rear net. It's also harder to return deep balls... especially if they bounce high.
I just joined. I live in Augusta Ga but have a sister in law that lives in Suntan valley. I will make it a point to play some pickleball when My wife and I visit her sister. Thank you for the info. Hope to see you there.

Outdoor ball. Dura or Franklin.

It was a gym.
Given the heat in Arizona, hard to believe no one has built an indoor facility with this being the first. Why was it so difficult to build, according to the owner? He also said "more to come." Does that mean there are plans in the works for new facilities elsewhere? And that kid you're hitting shots with is talented for his age...has to be your son!

There are a lot more indoor facilities coming up. With any new business, it’s always hard to start it up.

Here in St Louis the former Mills Mall has 4 indoor courts and planning 10 more indoors. It's called the Powerplex.

@@BrionesPickleball it’s a reference to the prominently displayed far-right wing perversion of the American flag on the wall of the facility, created to disparage the Black Lives Matter movement. It’s a conservative dog whistle of a middle finger to BLM.
Politics aside, it’s just an American flag. The owner is a Korean immigrant who put it there because he’s blessed to live here (his words) and is happy to accomplish what he has. Nothing more than that.

Nice facility, but I hate to be a downer. This has the potential to be a super spreader event. This scares me. Be safe out there. Numbers are going back up.
We try to be as safe as we can.
People go to Suns games and concerts. Everything is good. Get vaccinated/boosted. Life needs to move forward.
I played indoors this winter in masks when it was far more of an issue and nobody got sick as a group from that. People got it last summer outside. We're at the point where we can wear masks and have a life if we're smart and careful
