The Best Pickleball Paddles for 2024! (Summer Edition)
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 30. 07. 2024
- I've broken down my best paddles of 2024 summer edition by shape and category. You can think of this as my top 10 pickleball paddle list or a paddle buying guide for 2024 to help with your paddle selection for your play style. There is a paddle for every playstyle on this list and I hope it helps you find the right paddle for you. This is also good list to find the best pickleball paddle for beginners so you can pick by your playstyle. I'd suggest the control version.
The most common question I'm asked is "What is the best pickleball paddle?". The next most common question I get asked is "Paddle x or paddle y?". Usually that question is asked with zero context. That lead to me creating my best paddles list to gear it towards what I would pick for each play style and shape. I plan to do even more paddle comparisons in the future.

Awesome video as usual! I agree with you in the J2K, absolutely loving mine. Iâd love to get the Hurache X Control as my next paddle
Thanks for the awesome review! Really enjoying my very first standard/wide-body shape Spartus Apollo. Low SW and high TW canât be beat!
Honolulu J2K all the way thank you for the review
Really like how you tailored your review to playing style. Not everyoneâs style fits some paddles. Your recommendations are very helpful.
Exactly trying to put myself in the shoes of different play styles and I do tend to play different styles with different paddles. Of course sometimes I have to hit them with those drives
Thanks for the excellent video! I thought the format was very helpful. My favorite paddle right now is the Spartus Apollo.
Hey Jacob. Thanks for yet another great informative video! This may be your best one yet. Your reviews have been extremely helpful in my paddle decisions! I love the shape and category breakdown and the introduction of the "aggressive" category, which makes total sense. I also like how you talk about weight placements and how they might affect playability for any particular paddle. Nice! In summary, this is a great, must-view reference for anyone in search of a new paddle.
Looking into the future and being a fairly recent convert to Widebody/Standard shapes, I'm greatly looking forward to any upcoming reviews of the Monarch, the Fatboy, the Hurricane Pro16, and any others that are on the horizon.
Thanks!
Thanks Barney. I thought this format made more sense than a straight top 5 or 10 list.
Fatboy review is ready to go when they are ready to start selling it.
Monarchs should be here soon.
I have the Hurricane 14mm but havenât had a chance to use it.
Great video! Why am I addicted to paddle reviews? Anyway been playing more with a Gruvn muvn 13mm and enjoying the increased pop.
You never know what the next paddle could be to take you to pro đ thatâs what I tell myself
Current favorite paddle right now is the 11six24 H-X 16mm CFC, without a doubt. I have tried many other paddles but keep going back to that one!
Love my J2 and J3. I really want to try the J2k heard a ton of good stuff about it. Great reviews
Glad to see the Spartus Apollo made it! Thatâs my main paddle right now and Iâm loving it!
Loved the format- you nailed it!
Format was perfect, easy to understand, enjoyed seeing the different prices, and your commentary was top notch. Keep up the great work!
Great detailed explanations. I think the format of the video is great. Really like these best of videos, even though it's tough to cover so much ground. My current favorite is the Shogun, but would love to try the TKO-C! Thanks for the videos!
I enjoyed your paddle review. I have been wanting to try the J2K. I am currently playing with the SweetSpot Pro paddle from Enhanced Pickleball. Thank you.
Thanks! Nice summary of some very good paddles! I would enjoy trying that Paddletek TKO-C. My current favorite paddle is the PIKKL Hurricane Pro.
Been trying a couple different paddles but keep coming back to the J2K, it just does everything right! Great video!
Been hearing so many great things about the j2k, my favorite paddle has been the ruby and would love to see the differences first hand. Great video!
Playing with the Six Zero double black diamond w/tungsten & Selkirk S2. I'v been really interested in the J2k lately though, sounds like a great paddle, and your review just validates it!
This video was really well done. I appreciate the time and effort put into it and thought the format was great. Lots of summarization of the paddles from other videos in a concise format!
Oh and my favorite paddle right now is the Hurache-X Control 14mm.
Thank you! Yeah, these best of videos always take more time and planning but they are the most fun.
Great summary! Currently loving my Mach2 Forza 14mm, would love to try any of these newer paddles
Great content. Keep doing what you're doing, man.
J2K is topping everybody's list! Wild. That thing must be good. Tough choice up top with the TKO-C, though.
Great video and I really like how you categorized the shapes then the type. Very helpful. Of all paddles that you mentioned I only have the volair. Iâm a 3.5 player and it seems to suit me well.
Volair is a great option appreciate the feedback
You have a great list of paddles from what research I can do without actually handling hardly any of them. I currently love my J2K and think it is possibly the best paddle for me. However, I would like to that TKO-C.
I gotta feel this power of the TKO-C. Itâs hot down in here in TX hahaha. Thanks for the review as always! Currently using the DBD. So quite the opposite haha
Nice! Glad i get to choose which one to win, because I've already got a J2K.
So, I gotta go with the TKO-C 12.7mm! Thanks, man.
Thanks for the extensive review. Iâve used the Ruby exclusively since launch, so I bet the J2K would be perfect!
Iâm a hybrid paddle guy. You ABSOLUTELY nailed it with the J2K. I just received mine last week and IT IS A BEAST in the all court performance! Thinking about getting the J2K pro for that extra pop and power to up my game even more!
J2K is so good. I would try adding some weight at 4 and 8 or event a little higher see if that gets the power you are looking for.
Would love to try the Bantam! Thanks for the review!
Currently my favorite paddle is the J2K. Glad it made #1 for all-court hybrid. I think you're spot-on
I love the J2K, love and agree with all the love its getting!
The J2K is such a great choice for your tournament! I recently played with mine in a tournament and took home a bronze in mixed doubles. I love this summer paddle review edition, and as always, keep up the great work!
Just won gold 4.5+ mens with it. It definitely performs well
Thanks for your video. For Kevlar paddles I love my Hudef Viva Pro Gen 3. Awesome paddle at a good price.
Great job! Iâm currently playing with the Shogun and 14mm Volaire Mach 2 Forza. Would love to try the J2K.
Fantastic format for this list, man. I really liked how you laid it out for us.
I like the TKO-C 12.7. I'm really gonna enjoy the pop & power it offers.
Glad you enjoyed!
Great review...loved the concept. Very informative. New to pickleball, but loving it. Started playing with Vatic Pro Flash and liked it a lot. Bought a Thrive Azul and really liking it as well. So many cool paddles out there and I appreciate your thoroughness in describing the various paddles and their attributes. I'm intrigued by the Shogun and Shapeshifter.
Thank you appreciate it, sounds like the format was a hit
Thanks for the info. Just getting into the sport and trying to pick up any tidbits. My starter paddle is a Omdex V5
Love your pics, am glad you chose neonic flow for the control and looking forward to use.
The paddletek Bantam... am so curious how I will be able to utilize it to up my game.
Cheers to you for all your hardwork. All the best!
Thank you appreciate it!
Spot on with the Volair, I cannot miss a drop/reset on this thing. but summer is here and I could use some more put away power, so I'm gonna go with that TKO-C giveaway! đ
Currently using the J2K and would like to try an aggressive elongated paddle like the TKO-C 12.7. I would love to win this paddle and try something different. Keep up the amazing reviews.
Great review! My wife plays with a 6.0 Ruby which I think is probably my favorite paddle I've played with so far. Since the J2k is very similar at a cheaper price, I might have to get myself one.
Highly recommend it over the 6.0 Ruby
What up?!?! Love the channel, playing with the ProDrive Drive in white currently. Interested in the J2K, sounds like a great paddle.
Mark you are all over welcome to the channel haha. ProDrive said they are coming out with some new stuff end of summer I believe.
@@AllDriveNoDropPickleball Time to add some of your on court style to the channel with a merch section. The Pickleball world needs it!!
My favorite paddle to play with right now is my weighted Apollo. Iâm gonna add weight to my bantam and see if that feels better when I play. Loved the video formatđđœ
Love the hurache Kevlar!
I love the breakdown by shape format.
Fantastic recap of these paddles! I especially like how you showed where to weight each paddle for optimal performance. Btw, Iâm currently using the Shapeshifter as my main paddle. Itâs allowed me to be very aggressive at the kitchen line with rolls, flicks, volleys and overheads. Most importantly itâs been the easiest paddle to keep the ball low over the net to set up these put away opportunities off the opponentâs inevitable pop-up.
Thank you, I am trying to think of new stuff to include in the videos always open to ideas. Sounds like you found the right paddle for you.
Heard so much good about the J2K. Would love to try it!
I absolutely love mine
Was a little confused on the format, but caught on. I would suggest you do top control paddle. Elongated, hybrid, standard/wide, then do top all court and go through each shape, and then top power. But the way you did it wasnât bad. Thanks for all the guidance!
Thanks for the feedback Tim Iâll keep that in mind for future videos
Just got my J2K and loving it!
that J2K has some pop for sure, just played with it tonight and I'm not a "power" player, but did hit some blazing drives.
I like and appreciate your pickleball paddle reviews. I started with a Paddletek paddle about a couple years ago, and would enjoy their latest paddle, the TKO-C 12.7. Thank you.
j2k has got my attention. i gotta see what all the fuss is about. great vid. keep it coming bro!
Great list. Great insight into your reasons. Started with a DBD, moved to the Hurache-x Control+ (CFC16). Spent the last couple weeks playing with an loving the Apollo. Felt I was missing a part of my game with the Apollo (despite loving the extra spin, and maneuverability)... The Apollo helped me dial in things and realize I really do prefer the 11six24 out of my stable of paddles. Would love to try the J2K to see how much is hype and how much is true about everyone loving it lately.
You have a lot of great options to jump around with
I tried a 6.0 Ruby and liked it, although the plushness of it was more than I wanted. Because of that, I decided against getting the similar J2K and went with the J7K Pro instead. I've been very happy with it.
Great encompassing review. Been playing with Selkirk LUXX Control Air... so feeling like I would really love 11Six24 Hurache-X Control Kevlar.
Been using the Legacy Pro for almost a year, but would love to check out the other paddles youâve mentioned.
I've been rocking with my Neonic Flow for the past 3 months and I love it. But I did play with the J2 recently and would love to own the J2K
Love these type of video. For elongated shape I like Hudef Viva Pro Gen 3.
I would love the Chorus Shapeshifter. I think it would be fun to adopt a more aggressive play style. My favorite paddle right now though is the bnb Shogun. Thanks as always, great video!
Honolulu J2K for me. Great review!
My daily paddle wasnât on your listâŠ.love my Loco. But I am curious about the Kevlar hype, so Iâd be interested in checking out the j2k.
Great review, and I like the recommendation for different styles within each shape
Thank you! They are reworking the Loco maybe it will make the list next time!
This format is so good, organized, and helpful. TKO-C is the one for me! Cheers, brother.
Great to hear!
TKO-12.7!
Appreciate your reviews!
Currently playing with a less than ideal paddle from Amazon so I would love to win the J2K! Thanks for the review!
Love the format. I am still a big fan of the wide body/standard paddles right now, but also like the J2K.
Great best of list and an excellent way of presenting the various categories within the shapes.
I'm currently really enjoying the Apollo. The low SW has me winning more hands battles than ever. It's also resolving my chronic tennis elbow I've been battling for the past 4months.
The J2K is the winner IMO amongst your favorites.
Awesome great to hear it is resolving your tennis elbow. It is lightning fast in the hands
Great choices! Would love to try the TKO-C 12.7
this video was great. I currently use the Ronbus pulsar 3
Great power on that one
Great review and list
Bantam is on the top of my list
The Paddletek bantam for me. I actually an attracted to the Shapeshifter and the hurache x kevlar. Just keep up the great work.
Luv my spartus.. would luv to try the forza. Ty4 ur vid đ
Currently rocking the mach 2 forza 14 mm for dubs and the 11six24 hurache control 16 mm for singles. Great list!
love the neonic flow but looking forward to trying the j2k for sure
Great video. I was using diadem warrior edge switched to bread &butter filth and I am loving it. I would like to try the Honolulu J2K next
This is a very good list. I have to try them all
Oh man so many options I commend you for only picking 2! đ
Hybrid - J2K
Elongated - Shogun
Widebody - J3K
These would be the ones Iâd gravitate towards!
So hard to pick from all these paddles
J2K and Spartus Apollo both sounds great. I would probably go with Apollo for the lower swing weight. Great review and the format is great.
My current paddle is the Volair, which I really like for its control. However I would like to have/try the J2K because I have heard so much positive reviews about it.
Great info! Thank you.. I use Selkirk Luxx control air
I literally want every paddle on this list!
My favorite and only paddle that I own is the Vatic Pro Prism
I want that Paddletek TKO-C!
Time to catch them all!
Just purchased the Shogun! Currently play with the Ruby, which I still like. I thought the Shogun would be great for singles. I also like it for doubles. It has more firmness and power, both of which are helpful.
There are so many fun paddles this year. I'd love to try the J7K Pro, the TKO CX, and the Pursuit Pro 1.
Jacob, another great video sir. Compared to the J7K Pro, how much additional power do you get with the TKO-C? ( I love the control/power combo with the J7K Pro, but I may add a TKO-C or CX if there is a big jump in power.) Thank you! đ«Ą
Not a big enough jump to make you switch if you already love the J7K pro. Plus not as big of a sweet spot so it take a lot more time to dial in.
Well thatâs music to my ears brother! Thanks again, really appreciate it đ€
My fav paddle this year is easily the J2K. I personally think the power is lacking but the control and massive sweet spot makes it so easy to play the soft game. The price makes it even easier to choose as well.
I bought the Apollo using your code. It had an uneven surface on one side, resulting in a feeling of negative feedback like a miss hit from anywhere but center when hit with that side. I sent them a video, and they sent me a label to send it back for replacement. While it was gone I demoed an Engage Pursuit Pro MX and loved the feel of the paddle, the longer dwell time and additional power I adjusted to it much more quickly than the stiffer Apollo paddle. For me the Engage Pursuit had more control & power, less pop and spin. There were a few other trade offs. Overall the feel made me decide the Engage is more for me.
Glad you found your fit. I have a Pursuit Pro 1 MX 6.0 coming to test out they have been making excellent paddles lately
Just started playing about 2 months ago, so my fav is what i have, Carbon Pickle Pro Series, but after this I really wanna try that Paddletek Bantam.
nice review bro, I do not have a paddle but my favorite paddle from the video has to be the J2K!!
Time to get yourself a paddle and join the pickleball fun
Thank you for the opportunity. J2k
Iâve heard a lot of good things about the paddletek TKO. Would love to get my hands on it!
Thanks for the video. Iâm using the double black diamond now.
Love this review and comparisons!
I would kill for that Bantam TKOđ
Thanks for doing the giveaway!
Great review. Glad to see that the PaddleTek Bantam TKO-C was on the top list.
The two paddles you're giving away are actual my favorites. Don't own them but keep hearing great things about them
Favorites without trying them? Haha they must be good
Great review. I have grown to appreciate all the different features of the paddles you discussed and their application.. I have gradually shifted from Hyperion OG to C2 to the Ruby and just ordered the Volair Mach 2F .. as a tennis player now pickleball player I am disappointed in the degradation of the surface grit on most paddles. Hopefully the Volair will last longer than the two months I got out of my Ruby. Thx again for your reviews.
Definitely the place where there is the biggest room for innovation
Great video! How would you compare the spartus apollo with the J2K? I have the J7K pro but i has too much pop for me đ
I got you czcams.com/users/shortsEjW_nia0NCU?si=m4SsnXUTgAgGvVJ1
Of all the 2024 paddles the J2K has been the most attractive to me. I was also looking at the Paddletech Christian Alshon but I want the J2K more
Great video! I like the structure of it and it was easy to find what I wanted to get.
Thank you!
Love the Engage Pursuit MX and the ProS1 would love to get my hands on the Paddletek Bantam TKO-CX 12.7
Good job. These paddle is good. Hudef has a new hybrid shape Mage Pro Gen2. Will you do a review for them? I'd like to hear your opinion.
Coming my way soon
Nice video, my pick for wide body aggressive is definitely the pulsar FX2. What are you thoughts about that paddle?
You know it was the other paddle I was considering for the spot. I really enjoy that paddle and get great power and pop with it in combination with a great sweet spot.
@@AllDriveNoDropPickleballyeah totally agree, Iâve never seen a paddle that hits so hard but gives such good forgiveness and has a giant sweet spot
I need to try out the Shapeshifter.
Tried the TKO-C and felt it's power. Just need to dial it in
