    This dude played in the 1962 NFL Pro Bowl with fucking appendicitis. He blocked an extra point, and had an interception that he ran back 42 yards. The next day he checks into the hospital and has his appendix removed. What a fucking legend.

      bELieve52# Well he the reason the NFL came up with all of these penalties. He made the NFL much more safe because of it. Even today he would find a new way to tackle and they would make it illegal. He was a hard hitting creative coverage Cornerback.

    Greatest CB in NFL history even to this day. No CB hit harder than Night Train and he still holds the NFL single season record of 14 interceptions in 1952.....a 12 game season. That is INSANE especially considering that most teams threw the ball 15-20 times at the most in a game during that era. When Night Train went to the Lions him and Dick LeBeau became the best CB tandem in NFL history other than maybe Mike Haynes and Lester Hayes of the Raiders during the 80's
