Thanks for this tutorial! I was stuck on how to design and make siderods without having to to inside gearing on a scratch built model I'm making, but this really helped. Thanks!
Don't suppose you've seen the cardboard trains by Quazar? Tends to make the wheels have flanges just like the real deal and even the track and sleepers are made from cardboard. Have to admit these trains intrigue me even though I've already built a model railway layout in O gauge. You can build whatever you want for next to nothing with cardboard, popsicle sticks, etc. Definitely going to have to give this a go!
I think you should make kits with all the parts in them and sell them, since they are so cool. These models are so good! P.s. (I'm not good at making the models, so kits with all the parts would really help.)
No wayyy, my mom is also making a thomas costume for my Halloween contest, I hope everything goes alright, and I also hope your son will be very happy 😊

Thanks for the tutorial! I'm going to be making a 57xx pannier tank so this should be helpful.
Thx!!!!!, now my mom will finally buy me a glue gun, thank you!!!!!!
No problem! If you are planning to use it to build a model, then I wish you luck!
@@arthurb354 thx
Thank you, ive been planning to do this
This was really helpful I was planning to make a Thomas model myself with rolling wheels and rods thank you for the help😊
Woah,i found a person like me!😮
Genius design!
That looks gorgeous!
I also modified one of my cardboard locomotives using the method in this video, doesn't look the best, but it works so thanks for that😁

Hey can u please shoq us how it works? The gear valces and pistons?
There is a type of tool I use for cutting circles, it is kinda like a compass but with an x-acto blade
Ah yes, i do have one, but it doesn't seem to work for cutting circles
@@arthurb354 Yo dude that look like Thomas

Love this, when is the next video?
Thanks! Soon I hope, I have a few models I need to make videos for :)
Can you do a how to on building the body shell? Maybe even a 2-4-0?
Can you please do the rest of the side rods
Make a tutorial for the valve gear
Here’s a question is doing chassis better with lego?
It would mean it would be more precise, so I suppose it would work :)
Can you please make a LNER cardboard engine A3 class review?
What scale or gauge did you make on this model
I wonder if he is able to make Thomas the train 😮
Dose anyone know if he actually finished the lms fowler dock tank?
Yep, I did :) finished it a few years ago now, its in storage at the moment but is still in one peice!
That’s amazing! Do you plan on ever using polystyrene sheets (plastic sheets)
No I don't, I use cardboard as it is really easy for me to get :D

Hey can you a valve gear please my train keep broke i have to fix it.
6:20
Can you make a rolling 14xx it’s my dream to make one but my dad
Doesn’t let me
A.B railfan: but for a bigger engine something like a3 or a hall's class you might want 3 disks
Me who wants to build a prr s1: 👁👄👁
The engines that you made like the engine from thomas and friends
14xx making?
How you cut the wheels
With this model I used scissors, but for my more recent models I use a circle cutter :)
Do the value gear
well without tutorial on valves which would have been great, I'll probably build a simple small tender engine like Edward or James or whatever
please make valve gear
I also build trains
Very nice! Could I see some?
YOO I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE SMALL
Are you also an engine nerd like me
Nah I just use Elmer 'so glue
😊
Rr
Name a tank engine that isn't an 060
LNER L1?
Good knowledge
So much talking
Well, I have to talk in the video, as it makes it easier to explain how to build the model. :)
