One cool thing about going electric is that they could put some automatic braking in the Autopia cars to reduce collisions. That could also make them run a bit faster.
Get Tesla to sponsor it, and link all of the cars on a single network so that they're always aware of the placement of all of the other cars on the track!
There would be no way to charge them and keep guests flowing. They should do plug in hybrids where the powertrain is all electric but there’s a small gas motor acting like a generator

I have a feeling that at least part of the electrification of autopia is ensuring speeds are limited. Wouldn’t want autopia to be the next rocket rods.

I'm sure Disney would love to not have to maintain several hundred gasoline vehicles. It would be cool if they did concept electric vehicles and incorporated the people-mover track so you could have futuristic cars zipping overhead on "highways" in Tomorrowland.
20:28 that SEA pinboard also showed Disneyland Paris is getting something SEA, linked to a rocket, and there is a new group photo, with characters we haven't met yet like the lady with a tiger, muscle man and an ice explorer. It feels like we're getting more SEA pretty soon at the parks maybe expanding into the 1950s espionage era they teased at the 2022 D23 Expo??? 😀
There have been some rumors that Paris's Space Mountain is getting rethemed to SEA!
Rumors of the Disneyland third gate is themed to explorers as well, I would expect S.E.A. to have a large imprint in that park
I didn't notice that but finally S.E.A. is getting more attention after the Treehouse. I do hope we'll get an update for the S.E.A. movie or Disney+ series. We all thought the new Haunted Mansion movie would reference it but nothing happened. I also if we'll get another Shinji Takahashi book cause I really need to get the second one.

People keep hating on bayou adventure because of the first sneak peek images that were released. (Which btw they only had work lights on in those photos and lighting makes a huge difference) I'm so excited for it and I'm happy that Dallin is one of the people who is actually excited for it. Lots of people I think are just salty that it's replacing splash mountain.
I haven't seen the pictures at all and even I know those walls are going to be extremely close to the track and the ceiling is much lower than you'd think, plus all the girders, pipes, aircon vents, shit you usually don't notice or can't see unless you're really looking for it. You're riding through plywood hallways in a warehouse for every dark ride.

@@spinningpeanut yes lighting makes lots of changes to what you can see, the problem most people were having was that the colours on the plants and foliage looked a bit too bright and blue to be plants, but when I first saw the pictures I was thinking "oh with the dark lighting that's going to shine real nice." But everyone was saying that the plants didn't look like plants.
They should’ve just made another ride instead of the half assed repaint of splash mountain for the sole purpose of getting rid of it because it’s “racist”

The SEA shot is super exciting for Paris fans as well since the map references Space Mountain, which has been stuck in a Star Wars theme hell since 2017. We might finally see the moon again
It’s great that we are finally seeing concrete confirmed stuff at the parks, thank god because I’m hungry for new stuff, especially when it feels like your seeing the same stuff or how universal is putting out a lot. Let’s just hope they can stick the landing because a lot of these rides look very cool and I feel like they might get a bit to much hate when they look very fun.
I'd choose Villains Land over Coco Land or Encanto Land.
I think most people would. If Encanto is going to Animal Kingdom, I’d love to see a Coco/Afterlife and Villains land called “Regions Beyond”

I’m also hoping for Tiana’s to open in May since I’ll be there as well! Splash Mountain was always my favorite ride, not because it was Brer Rabbit, but because it was a log flume ride. Since it’s still a log flume ride, I can’t wait for it to reopen!

I believe Disney slipped up last D23. With epic universe opening in Florida and Hollywood drift opening in California. This means Disney has no real big response they could do other than Tianas which cannot really be the only counter to a full park. If Disney actually announced something big that would have opened in 4-5 years in both parks they wouldn’t be so worried about universal catching them

Are they really changing or are they just expected to change. The Tiana makeover has been known for years. And Test Track is just getting a makeover. There has yet to be any ground broken on new land or rides, at least in the US. Disney has spent too many years announcing things that wind up going nowhere.

I think it’s just because they have nostalgia linked with Splash Mountain, causing them to miss it and get infuriated with the new stuff replacing it…
😆 Yeah, people should be stoked that they are taking out 70 animatronics and replacing them with 17. Plus raiding a Hobby Lobby for plastic leaves and gluing them to the mountain. Everything on the update looks cheap and cost cutting regardless of the theme. Universal will overtake Disney soon because of the half ass efforts like this one.

Why does Tiana look nothing like she does in the film, i.e. now fat and middle aged with mom-hair in a pants suit. Oh right, it's because they are just using a clone of the Belle animatronic from Tokyo Disneyland. And every time I see that fabric flopping around on the neck of the alligator I can't help but think of Home Depot Halloween animatronics.
As someone who works in a Honda factory. They don’t seem to be doing so hot recently so I’m leaning towards a different sponsor/in house.
I'm definitely excited for Test Track 3.0. It definitely needs to deliver a good throwback to the World of Motion.

I just went through how many D23s and Destination D23s I’ve been through with you now and realized that I have been a subscriber for a minute now. You didn’t mention the Candleman in the back of the Josh D’Amoro video (thanks Provost Park Pass for that one).
I've heard the idea floated that the Pandora DL boat ride will be based on the ride system used in Shanghai's very impressive Pirates of the Caribbean ride
I honestly don't think I could be more excited by a ride than something described as Navi River Journey meets Shanghai Pirates.
You didn't talk about the new models for the Central America area coming to Animal Kingdom. The original BBT blue sky showed Coco, Encanto, and the Villains Land, but now it's canon that Coco and Encanto will be at AK. That does leave the Villains to be at Magic Kingdom, which makes more sense.

And there's enough land in both the Autopia in CA and the Tomorrowland Speedway in FL that they could put up solar panels to supply some of their own electricity.

Hey there, I just finished watching, and wanted to let you know that glass area was indeed a members lounge in Test Track. A relative of mine who wasn't a member of GM or Chevrolet was invited to go up there before cause one of their friends was a GM or Chevrolet employee. However, they informed me that not too long after they were invited and got to go there, that space was closed. So I'm not sure what they might do with it, maybe a small expansion to the ride or queue?
A DVC lounge, of course! 😌

I wonder if that S.E.A West Coast Headquarters is a Tom Sawyer Island retheme due to the cave entrance on the surface level. It would be a good space for an Adventureland Treehouse level project (Frontierland Island?), possibly with some ties to Jason Chandler.

I don’t think we’ll see them build it In or around the back lot because they would have to consume Hollywood Boulevard the back lot and the bus loops. I do think that it could possibly be a Plan B if Disneyland forward doesn’t get approved, but I believe it will be in the California adventure side of the Disneyland concept. And on that note, while I’m mostly agree with freshbaked and his opinions, I do differ, though, as I believe Disney has plans fully drawn up, ready to go for Disneyland forward and the eastern gateway. I also think they are relatively confident that Disneyland will get approved.
As for a little bit of my own blue sky thought process, I think it would make much more sense to avatar on the Disneyland side of Disneyland forward, Use the California adventure side to add attraction/ride value to California adventure as that’s desperately needed, and use the back and Hollywood Boulevard as an expansion for avengers campus.
You also bring up a good point about sponsorships and Honda, Honda is releasing their first full EV to the US market this year so it’d be creat marketing for Honda.
I also think that Disney now charging for the parks panel is a good sign we may be getting something interesting announced there.

It seems like the new Avatar land, will be more themed after the second movie. The WDW Pandora is after the Omaticaya, and the Disneyland one is after the Metkayina, the water tribe.

Villain land can be shortened to be call Villland by combining villain and land together
They could replace the gas engines with an electric motor hooked to two-four car batteries, attach the motor to a chain driving the rear axle, add a scrub brake, and TA DA ELECTIC CARS, SO NEW, SO AMAZING.
Some thoughts that come to mind, what's Critter Country going to look like? Are they going to say Tiana's "friends" are critters and essentially keep it the same? From what I gather the gift shop that's there will be Tiana themed, what does leave for Winnie the Pooh? Is it just an ride out of place? (kind of like Autopia in Tomorrowland!)
Autopia electrified sounds great, but considering they mentioned that young drivers love it as their first time, I wonder if they can in some way lower the dashboard a bit because one universal about kids first rides on Autopia is that they usually can't see where they are driving. Not having stinky gas lawnmower engines in that area may be a breath of fresh air finally (literally and figuratively)

Autopia will now make sense to be in Tomorrowland. Honda recently released their first EV in the US (and a luggable EV scooter), so it would make sense for them to push for electric cars on the parks.
Honda previously released the EV Plus in 1997, the Fit EV in 2012, and the Clarity Electric in 2017 as lease only models in certain states.
The Prologue is the first Honda EV in the US available to own and first nationwide, but is essentially a reskinned Chevy Blazer EV with a Honda badge (and Android Auto and CarPlay).
Honda (and Toyota) have been dragging their feet in the EV space while they continue trying and failing to make hydrogen vehicles work.
I'm very curious if the tropical americas stuff coming to Animal Kingdom means that the beyond big thunder expansion may have a stronger focus on the villains theming, since it probably won't be split with Encanto and Coco anymore? Or maybe I'm just too desperate to see the Dark Kingdom rumor become real in some way haha

I honestly think universal will pull ahead of Disney. Having recently gone to both Florida parks, Universal is clearly leading the way. I appreciate the Disney shills out there being optimistic but Something more drastic needs to change in the Disney company(not just parks but everything). They need an exceptional executive who will bring back the innovation, quality product, and vision that has been lacking and that made Disney the golden standard it once was

The issue with the Tiana animatronics isn’t so much their quality, but the quantity. Splash had around 70 animatronics but the low budget Tiana re-theme is looking very likely to only have 17!
This was corroborated by a list of the animatronics they inadvertently showed in the background during the recent YT video. Whatever else they stick in there will unfortunately be static. Very sad.
