@@HOWTODIYwithEddy it took a hour as I didn't want to rush had to scrape old silicone off but all in your video helped me through the process. Although the E8 hex was too small I had to use E10. But glad I watched your videos a few times. Thank you
@@AviationTwid I am glad you did your self and saved quite a bit, i believe its a bit expensive the quote given to you, but whatever the price a garage has overheads to pay, so they will be always more expensive than you buying the parts and do it yourself. Some jobs are more specialised than others but this one is quite simple and easy to do.
When I remove the oil cap there is a lot of suction and was told it would be the breather in the rocker cover is this the same part what you have removed many thanks keep up the video's
hello i have a corsa d 2011 1.2 when i remove the oil cap there a bit of cream but it does not over heat and is in daily use a friend said will just be condensation any thought please as i want to sell it soon maybe take rocker off and clean it out.?
@@HOWTODIYwithEddy yes as I say the coolant system is fine it's just the unsightly cream that could put a a buyer off my plan is to take the rocker cover off and clean the crap out many thanks for the reply Eddy nice one.

Could be the Breather connected to the throttle body
Yes
Is there two variants of gasket for this corsa D ?
The only thing that changes is the number of cilynders

Thank you! Cheers!
My job this weekend
Got the new gasket
My Corsa is a 1.2 2010 model but looks identical to this one
Hi pal I have put the gasket on with no sealant but is leaking do you need sealant
you need to see if the rocker cover is broken, you don't need sealant, also make sure the torque is right
@@HOWTODIYwithEddythanks, was looking for this answer!
This job should be done at morning when the vehicle is off for at least 12 hours to be completely cool ? Or we can make it any time ?
Make sure engine is cool so you don't burnt yourself
Make sure engine is cool so you don't burnt yourself
Shame it doesn't show you changing the gasket lol
Once you take all the bolts, lift the cover and the gasket is in the cover
